I enjoy having magic more directly suited to my interests. The technology here makes things very convenient, and

There are people here who I am glad to be with on calmer terms than at home. Even if it's just a matter of being able to take more time for ourselves.

Sounds like those people were a real handful back home, if being here with them is what you'd consider calm.

Some of them made themselves major nuisances in Fódlan, even if they had their reasons. Some, we simply had other duties and obligations that kept us very busy.

Here, neither is an issue. I can meet old friends as friends, and spend more time with someone dear to me.

... I have green magic, and I like plants. [ it's not a weird thing to say!!! ] Flowers, especially. Gardening brings me a great deal of comfort.

Back home I had a favourite tree I loved to nap in, so you can imagine how stoked I was to learn people actually build their homes in or around trees here.
