It's that time again already! It's time for our current players to plot for the month ahead, get some new CR and chat together about things to come. Go ahead and copy/paste the form below. Or don't. We aren't your parents, we can only make really good suggestions. (Unless...? Nah.)

Thrawn | Star Wars

Character Name: Thrawn

Canon: Star Wars

Info: Thrawn is a Grand Admiral in the Imperial Navy, and is notable for being the only alien in their ranks. He's a brilliant military tactician, highly observant, and has very good deduction skills. Basically, he's Sherlock Holmes if he was a blue alien. He's also got a special talent where he can look at a piece of artwork and determine what the artist's fighting style or tactics are like, and he can even determine a race's culture from their artwork. Basically, if you don't want him to gain an advantage over you, never let him see your artwork. He's also good at reading faces and body language.

Thrawn is naturally stoic, and to the casual observer he seems cold and aloof, but he's not completely emotionless. Once you get to know him and spend lots of time with him, he becomes more open and his face more readable. He also likes to do this thing where he'll try to hone someone's observational or tactical skills by asking questions or play brain games with them.

Magics & Familiar: Light magic and technomancy, and his familiar is a ysalamiri

Desired CR: I'm up for almost anything really. Some CR in particular I'm interested in are Thrawn getting to show off his art reading talent, especially if your character is an artist, or meeting fellow military people so they can talk tactics and strategy. Thrawn is also surprisingly good with kids, and I'd love for him to stretch his Dad Energy some time.

Really, if you have a character you'd just love to throw at him for fun or just to see what happens, I'd be open for it.

Known Plans: At the moment, I'm trying to get him the title of Lord, so that means having him do support quests whenever possible. He is open to combat quests too, if you want him to tag along for ass-kicking.

Mukuro's a very talented soldier and military nerd who's...posing as a fashionista. Badly. So I feel he might be able to sense something's up with her.

Also she needs more military sorts to follow around and potentially make friends with/get mentoring from.

I'd be down with this. Thrawn's good with mentoring, especially when it comes to military stuff.

Thrawn needs to poke the kid of that annoying Jedi he tagged along with that totally didn't end up having a major breathing problem later in life.

If Luke ever needs more magic practice, Thrawn can help with that. Or they can meet over a quest, or even just run into each other at a diner or something.

Edelgard is both an Emperor and an aspiring artist in her own right, and I feel like from a military and tactical standpoint she and Thrawn would find a lot of common ground (though she'd definitely have a lot of Issues with the wider Galactic Empire if/when that came out).

But to get them started, if I put up a painting prompt in her catch-all that's coming, Thrawn could wander by and offer his critical analysis of her skills?

Byleth here is Edelgard's top general and partner (in both public and private matters) and I think she'd definitely have some good CR with Thrawn. She's not much of an artist in the typical sense, though she's been experimenting with poetry and floral arranging lately. Tactical and military talk would be delightful and thoroughly within her wheelhouse, and just like Thrawn, she's almost useless with the political sides of the job!

Being a high ranking official of an empire herself, the notion of a Galactic Empire wouldn't in itself raise alarm bells for her until she started to get an idea of how exactly that place operates, so there'd be a lot of fun room to play around

Something about Thrawn just can't help but draw in powerful gay women. They should absolutely meet.
