BUT HEY even if she can't stop him from hulking out (as much as she might try) she's going to be there with him in the forge and maybe scope out the situation so that she can somewhat confidently tell him that no one wants to kill him for that one time he went a little crazy

I might be up for her getting hurt from the hulking thing but I feel like anything worse than a couple of bruises is going to be a disaster for Darin's mental health though I'm up for it if you are?. She's going to absolutely be refusing to use weapons or magic against him though because THE REAL YOU IS IN THERE SOMEWHERE trope

WHY IS EVERYONE BLAMING HIM IT ISN'T HIS FAULT

And yeah, if you want her to get hurt, we can arrange that! It wouldn't be too serious! Nothing lethal obviously, but even a bad injury would make Darin want to work harder to control himself. He'll be angsty for a little bit but then redouble his efforts in controlling himself, so it'll even out!

lmao I doubt she'd blame him but she might not also get that it needs to be said until she sees Mukuro doing that.

Maybe bruised ribs or a dislocated shoulder or both? Something that WOULD heal on its own (once everything was back in place) but it would still take a while. She'd still want to try to stop the rampage, but she'd probably have to let Mukuro take over from there because OW.

This might even convince her to get over her own hang-ups and actually work on her magic, at least. If only because she'd be determined to not let herself be this useless if another situation like this pops up
