Raihan Pokemon Enable me, please!

I'm pretty sure everyone knows what Pokemon is. You know, multimillion dollar franchise where you catch cute little pets and pit them against each other for a dog fight? That's basically the story of all the Pokemon games, while Raihan here comes from the newest in the series, Pokemon Sword and Shield, and hails from Galar, their equivalent of the United Kingdom (and he's definitely got the accent to match). He's the eighth and most powerful Gym Leader, and he knows it! He loves taking selfies and posting to social media, researching and history, and training his Pokemon! He's also very into dragons, a master of the weather, and a damn good strategist. The plan is to bring along Duraludon, Flygon, and Goodra as "pets" and to slowly bring back the others over time. My main drawback at the moment is figuring out what his familiar would be, simply because there's so many options! Should he have a Legendary like Rayquaza or Eternatus? Should he have a constant reminder of his rival and have Charizard or Dragapult? Or should I go the funny route and have Applin? I'm mostly looking for a dragon-type Pokemon, because how could I not? I'm thinking he'll also have elemental magic to mimic his storms and weather effects while having a secondary in technomancy, because. Phone. I've been looking for a game for this guy for a while, and with this place being similar to Galar aesthetic-wise, it seems like a good fit! I'll be brand new to the game, and... haven't been in a game in several years, so rusty at this in general! Raihan himself will miss home like crazy and lament over the fact that two of his biggest goals in life are GONE, but will get back up like always, find new goals (while never forgetting and always training for the old) and try to save his frozen world!

RAIHAN YES please bring him! I'm cracking up at the thought of him with an Applin but he would love the little guy. A Goomy would also be hella adorable. Honestly any tiny dragon. No big dragons for him, only smol. And then I need Zhongli to meet him and make friends with all his dragon pogeys.

Oh no Applin was my first thought, he would absolutely adore the little thing. I think I'm leaning a little more towards that one, especially considering how hilarious of a match up it would be; this tiny little apple creature paired with this giant tree of a man.

Yessss come be friends with his dragons! They won't take too kindly to having their powers removed, but will adapt over time!

Raihan!! Would love to see him in game. Seeing how he recontextualizes himself after losing his Big Goals would be really interesting 🥺 Man I do not envy you for picking a familiar tho LMFAO both the applin and the legendary ideas have such an appeal...

Avalon was also my first game in seven years lol i know that feel-- i've had plenty of fun!! Getting back into it was p easy. If you decide to app we'd be happy to have you!

Interesting is certainly a word for it! I'm still figuring out what he'll do myself. His whole life revolved around these goals and now they're. Gone! And gotta build up a big fanbase again and retraining his dragons to fight without powers and so much wooooork, but at least it'll take his mind off of the more difficult things to think about! :')

I KNOW and I'm attached to both ideas! Raihan's idea of greatness for himself would certainly fit with having a legendary, but. Applin. This tiny thing with this giant man.

RAIHAAAAAAN hell yes, do this thing, I love this. I was toying around with the idea of Bede at some point in the future but fell off partway through my canon review and need to get back to that, POKEMON IN GENERAL PLZ but I do love Raihan specifically!
