Rio Ranger Your Turn to Die Enable me, please!

Rio Ranger is the dress up doll! He's a doll, which in the context of canon is a highly efficient piece of technology. The physiology is closer to a mannequin than a traditional robot, but they're imparted with a highly efficient AI that can mimic human behavior perfectly. In Rio's case, he was created with only the capacity to feel negative emotions and deprived of the ability to feel empathy or kindness. As a result, he has a massive inferiority complex and makes a show of disparaging and despising humans in order to cover up his envy. All-in-all, considering the entire point was to make him only feel negative emotions to create something "more human" and totted as being the greatest creation while only being half-formed, he's a pretty sad kid. He speaks crudely, is dismissive and rude, and also collects dead people's clothes to wear (hence why he's such a fashion disaster,) and uses expression cards - likely in an effort to compensate for his lack of a full range of emotions/humanity. I'm still not sure if I would take him from an earlier canon point and later update him, or if I would take him from after his arc in canon when he has his missing emotions restored immediately before his death. Poor kid. tl;dr - Pinocchio who wants to be a real boy except instead of being a cute, somewhat misguided kid he's just annoying and also a murderer. On the other hand, look what we were deprived of thanks to his asshole father. That smile. :( Tentatively considering Cognitive, Dark, or Death magic for him.

lazily i fail to swap accounts but STILL i wanted to come here and say he sounds hella interesting and i have one (1) boy ledo (from suisei no gargantia) who can relate because he also struggles with stuff like feelings and pretty basic normal, human things because he's from a future that doesn't have much in common with most times/places.

also just a+ love adorable murder boi dolls.
