Okuyasu Nijimura Jojo's Bizarre Adventure Enable me, please!

Okuyasu's a delinquent-looking teen whose first reaction to most problems is to punch it until it stops being a problem. He also canonly cries about an ice cream store being closed :'( because he is a layered boy and many of those layers are soft. His main arc in his canon is learning to think for himself and gaining some measure of self-confidence; here, it seems like an ideal place to extend and build on that journey. Oku's a good kid who's seen a lotta shit and he's outgoing enough that in a big 'do good things for the world you got brought to' game, he seems like he'd thrive. I'M V CURIOUS ABOUT THE ATMOSPHERE HERE IN GENERAL and also the potential for found family there i said it here we are

Gyro Zeppeli oh dear it's another Jojo's Bizarre Adventure option Enable me, please!

Gyro is an enigma carrying a teddy bear. He's a young adult (~24) who seems serious and driven at first glance and to most strangers; he's been trained since a young age in medicine, martial arts, and various other duties as part of his family's long-standing job and important position in their local community. He's proud of what his family does...and also sometimes at odds with it. Once you spend more time with Gyro, you might get to learn that he is prone to making terrible jokes just to have something to say, that he's actually a bit of a space cadet, and also the second he's away from his dad and in another country he wears GRILLS like guys I cannot stress enough how much he only has the slightest veneer of coherency and is then a spiraling mess of 'I disappointed my family but at least my lipstick looks good'. Gyro is self-confident and self-reliant and his main character arc in canon is being the main character's mentor (and to some extent, the softer voice of moral reason between the two). In-game, Gyro might work well really putting himself to work climbing the ranks of the magic system, finding stuff to fight, and...let's be real, probably accidentally adopting/befriending a select few, although he's naturally less gregarious than Okuyasu is.

Aww he really is best boy, tho u.u I'm happy to come across someone canon-familiar! Honestly I was blown away by how much I loved part 7 - it was the first time I went out of order (I skipped reading 6, plan on doing that next though) so it was also the first manga version I read, as opposed to the anime, so maybe I'm biased but it just...is really good. JUST SAYIN'.

I stopped after part 6 but I have heard praise about part 7! It does make me want to read it but I never got around to it.
