TEST DRIVE MEME ⚔️️ I
![]() Premise ⚔️️ Rules ⚔️️ FAQ ⚔️️ Taken ⚔️️ Reserves ⚔️️ Apply ⚔️️ Locations ⚔️️ Bestiary ![]() A ⦿ Soaking in Your Arrival
Regardless of what you were in the middle of, you and your familiar have been magically pulled into the world of Avalon just above the Bay's waters. After a brief plunge into the Bay, the rush of water filling your ears and soaking up into every creak and crevice of your body, you may need to cough to clear your airways when you rise above the surface. You'll definitely see other new arrivals plopping in. If you can't swim, a red-headed woman known only as the Lady of the Lake will drag you to the shore if she doesn't spot someone else near you helping so no one ends up drowning. She's a little busy casting directive magic to make sure everyone lands safely and playing lifeguard, so if anyone attempts to talk to her, she'll tell them to head up to the Rent-a-Ride. The shores themselves are littered with new arrivals complaining their way up a staircase carved into the walls of the White Cliffs. There is no railing, so be careful, but if you do fall, be prepared for a mysterious sand hand to reach out of the side of the cliffs to catch you. The hand will pat you atop the head twice before retreating back into the wall. This is the Cliff Beast; despite the name, he is quite friendly. B ⦿ The Caravan to Camelot
These carriages use fae technology that combats weight, so your character will be able to get in regardless of whether they're light as a feather or weigh two tons. The carts have air conditioning when it's hot, heating when it's cold, and a mystical shield to protect from bugs. There is also a mini-bar that pops out of the console with nip bottles. Characters can use their smartphones to connect to Camelot's internet service, ![]() C ⦿ The Red Spring
If you don't want to relax in the room, try taking a dip in the spring for another chance to meet your fellow travelers. The waters have restorative properties that help horses and travelers recover quickly when drunk. It is known to relieve stress, improve energy levels, and mildly accelerate healing. The springs are also home to a large training grounds just outside town limits, where there are teachers who will teach basic magic safety and help you discover what kind of magic you have together with other new arrivals. Try target practice, obstacle courses, meditation circles, and other ways to try to figure out just what you can do.. if you didn't already have an accidental discovery on the ride there. ![]() A ⦿ Get Fresh
B ⦿ Be Merry
C ⦿ Eat Well
Have a seat, meet a new neighbor, find a roommate, maybe a new or old friend? Talk to the person to your left, your right, across from you. Mingle, enjoy the food, the music, it shouldn’t be long before the information promised is provided. Till then take your fill and get to know your fellow travelers. ![]() You've been here a few days now and have gotten a chance to settle in, find a place to stay, and Camelot's citizens have decided that you've been here long enough to start living your life again. Well, your new life. A group of citizens have decided to give everyone their first quest. "Hear ye, hear ye!" a man in chain mail with a tablet with his statement typed up on it declares to a crowd from atop a pedestal. There are two other citizens around him with phones to post the video to AOL later to make sure the word gets heard ye all around. "Those with magic, we beseech thee! Findeth us a grail most holy hidden in the depths of the Brocéliande! This holy grail is known to grant thine wishes three, a most noble quest for noble souls! Great reward will come to those who find it and proclaim at least one of their wishes to find the great Excalibur for King Arthur!" This is the first you've heard about King Arthur, and it seems curious that he hasn't yet shown his face around town. It also seems strange that this guy is speaking like he's stepped out of a bad period piece, and probably should be the clue that this is more or less an attempt to haze some of the newcomers by sending them into the forest... but no one is telling newcomers this. It's better to get them out there and start praciticing, after all. A ⦿ Lost, and Lost, and Lost Again
Which is what makes it peculiar when you keep passing the exact same locations over and over again, as if you've been traveling in circles or reaching the end of the map in a video game and coming out the other end. You're stuck in a space loop. The only way out is to successfully find the one difference in each loop five times in a row and collect it. Maybe it's a strange frog, a crystal that wasn't there before, a small wooden step that doesn't lead anywhere, or some other singular item, you've got to find what stands out... pick the wrong item, and you'll have to start your five count over again, and again, and again... B ⦿ Grail, and Grail, and Grail Again!?
C ⦿ A Quest Completeish

Sakurada Miwako | Paradise Kiss
[ A pretty young girl with pink hair in a rose-like updo has been flitting in and out of the groups of other travelers, half-nervous yet half-bubbly. She's looking surprisingly fresh in her ruffled burgundy tunic over an even rufflier poofy black skirt, wearing a cream-colored scarf speckled with little black pompoms, with matching leggings to boot... but as to boots, instead of some cute little heels, this tiny creampuff of a girl is bouncing around between crowds in black combat boots, acid-washed grey jean jacket keeping her cozy after her very soggy arrival... She'd managed to convince someone to use their magic to re-puff her petticoats, thankfully, because that was a priority. Spirited away, but still stylish. She's clearly searching for something, ducking to peek below people for a better ground-view... Occasionally, a small leaping silvery wisp of white may lace itself between your legs, but its seeker is not as quick. It doesn't help she's easily distracted by all the cool-looking people in foreign styles. Maybe as she passes by you, she offers an enthusiastic compliment on your outfit — so many different looking people, she'd wear herself down tapping strangers on the shoulder to say "I like your shoes," "I like your hair," "I like your this, I like your that..." She's bound to find something to compliment in your outfit. But she's hoping she's bound to find this elusive quick little white scoundrel, whatever it is.
When her search is clearly coming to no avail, she does get worn down (maybe for the best?), and after taking a moment to pet and thank the hard-working horses, she's pretty relieved to relax in the caravan. It's all enough to make her head spin, so once their welcoming explanation sinks in some, she figures it's better if maybe her head does spin a little. That mini-bar is a nice touch, and she dives in to find the flavored vodka, rum, something fruity right away, and plops three in her ruffly lap. She turns to whoever may be beside her, smiling and warm. ]
Would you like some, too?
[ But rather than offer one of the three in her lap, she reaches back into the mini-bar to produce a fourth for you... She's keeping those three. ]
𝕤𝕥𝕒𝕪𝕚𝕟𝕘 𝕚𝕟𝕟
[ Maybe you're the lucky ducky who's found themselves sharing the room in the inn together. She's already claimed her bed, but she's clung to the video games pretty fast. She's found a simple rhythm game, some groovy dance music filling the room as she hits all the marks mostly on time with the notes. A natural. If you walk in while she's in the zone, you'll be greeted with a bright smile — but then she scrambles her focus back to the game seconds later, not wanting the distraction to make her fail the current song. She does anyway, though, and huffs childishly at the controller as she sets it back down and stands to introduce herself proper, bowing a bit. ]
Boo, I lost... Sorry, sorry. Hi, hello! We're roommates, right? It's nice to meet you, my name is Sakurada Miwako. And yours~?
𝕞𝕒𝕘𝕚𝕔𝕒𝕝 𝕞𝕠𝕣𝕟𝕚𝕟𝕘
[ The next morning after a restful night at the inn, much needed, she's in even more need of help with magic... She comes from a completely normal world. No magic. No powers. No spooky creatures. No heroes. No aliens. Well, not counting the famous hair stylist/makeup artist/professional genius Seiji-sama, but it's really just her theory that he's from the Glitter Planet, which in any case is obviously not... this planet. It would be better if so, she thinks. Glitter magic, what a thought~ She's kind of put out watching others practicing their magic in the training grounds, though, feeling still exceedingly normal. Nothing feels very different; in fact she quietly feels rather unexceptional — just like at home, if not even more so... She's pouting by herself off on the sidelines, huffing occasionally, resigned to observing the others after many failed attempts at what she's seen going on around her. Screaming "FIRE POWER, GO~!" didn't work the way she'd hoped it would. Her familiar has been no help, either; free from the crowds, a small white rabbit has been bounding about all morning, its fur softly glowing silver, crystal-like jade-colored eyes always seeking Miwako from across the training field, but it doesn't come to her. Just watches from afar. Is her rabbit even magic? Something doesn't seem fair... After too much ruminating on this, she turns frustrated to whoever's nearest. ]
Do you know what your special power is yet? I can't tell mine yet... What if I don't have one?
[ A sudden shocking realization hits, though, which she clearly takes very seriously as she lopes this poor stranger into her thought process. ]
...Oh, no! Do you think I could be cursed?!
Magical Morning
He can so far move a leaf and not much else, but now that he has braved that first moment of going from a regular basketball player who was living on a random weird alien planet to a regular basketball player in a whole other world learning magic, he's eager at least.
The feathered familiar is sitting atop raven locks, it seems to like his head or shoulder mostly, and as long as it does not sink its talons in he is fine with that.]
I think everyone got one, it's kind of the point of us being here. I can move stuff, well I can move a leaf so far. I don't think we're all that powerful yet, it's why they want us to practice. You should call your familiar, mine makes it easier to do if it's around.
no subject
Ehhh...! Then I don't understand! Do you see that little white bunny over there? That's Miwako's familiar. All day yesterday, the bunny acted like this, running away, playing hard to get! But all last night it was friendly, followed me into the inn, let me pet it... It even slept in Miwako's bed! This morning it let me hold it, too, but when I stepped outside, it jumped out of my arms and ran away again. Ever since then, it's been acting coy... We left around sunrise and it's been watching me all morning, just like this! Maybe it's shy?
no subject
Not like that, it's like they are connected to your brain, I think about mine, wanting him to come and he comes, usually has to come with me needing his help.
no subject
Ah—! Really? Well, Miwako needs its help now! Although, I guess I never properly asked it for help. I didn’t even invite it to come to me, now that I think about it... that was rude of me. Huh.
...I’m sorry, Rabbit!
[ She cups both hands to her mouth and yells out to the creature across the field. Who can say if it just happened to turn to them again, or if it heard her voice, let alone understood her... but indeed she gets the rabbit’s attention and it hops forward a little leap. Miwako tries forcing her thoughts like she’s meditating with some mantra, which is more than likely unnecessary but it’s her own super power to imagine and play with, after all, feeling like she’s in a manga or an anime and focusing her ~*~energy~*~... Please come here, rabbit. Please, please, please come here, little rabbit. And surprisingly, little regard to her silent inner theatrics over it all, being far easier than she’s making it out for herself, whatever she did, it worked. The rabbit springs forward, lacing itself elegantly through the other trainers like a wisp through the wind. The animal is before them in a fraction of a moment, appearing in a thin, pale shimmery mist its silvery white fur seems to emanate. It leaps directly into Miwako’s arms, who catches it with a wide, amazed smile. As she brings it close to her and stands up, holding it to her face and beaming at it, it seems to share its iridescence with her somehow. Starting with her hands holding her gleaming rabbit, but tracing itself all along her arms and face to the tips of her long pink hair, she starts to emit her own softer, shimmering glow. Hers is not silver, like her rabbit’s, but the palest of pinks. She lifts the rabbit in the air in front of her face, then nuzzles it into her neck, holding it like a little baby. In her excitement about her pretty, sparkly rabbit returning on her command, she doesn’t even notice her own powers starting to show themselves without her even really trying. Her rabbit came, and it came to help, and it hopped right to it! ]
Ahhh, wow, look! It came, it came! Isn’t it so cute? It’s like it’s a shining little angel bunny! Look, its eyes are like jade! How lovely~! Wow! ...Wow!

[Takao laughs watching the girl, it is not a mean laugh. It is just him being very amused and enjoying her positivity. When the bunny comes, and those colors begin to swirl around her, the raven-haired point guard has seen something like that before.
Lucky for the girl, one of his close friends happens to share her magic class, it would seem at least from where Takao is standing.]
It did; just needed to know you wanted help, you know, you say you haven't found out your powers, but you look like you have light magic, you're all lit up.
no subject
...Ehhhh?!
[ His words don't register immediately. But when she glances back down at her rabbit against her shoulders, she sees the pink glow around herself, like some kind of dim pearlescent sunshine, or the soft rainbow beams that sometimes surround the moon, a subtle but sparkling light shining from within. Her eyes widen when she sees her hands glowing... but her gaze crawls up her bare arms, until she catches sight of her hair falling over her shoulder, radiating pink, shimmering, all but sparkling, and her jaw drops. The theatrics startle the rabbit, which squirms in her rose-tinted hands, but she just holds it closer as her head explodes. ]
Miwako's glowing! Glowing pink! What! What does it mean? What does it do? What do I do?! I feel like I'm in the first volume of a shoujo manga, wooow~!
no subject
First, we don't choke the bunny, yeah? [Then he flashes her a grin and points out toward the training grounds.]
You practice; it looks like you've got light magic, I know Kise's familiar can create illusions, and he said something about making a small shield; none of us are real good at it yet.
[Then he snickers.]
It's exactly like some weird wizard manga; I have a friend who would love it.
no subject
Ah? Do you have friends from home here, then? Who is Kise? Does he have a rabbit, too?
[ Worth a shot. She's still processing the words "light magic" and "illusions" and all. It's a lot to register at once, now that it's revealed itself. She's frankly still just hung up on the rabbit, cuz that's normal and familiar-ish. Magic sparkly powers? A lot more surreal. Focusing on the familiar — and the familiar — feels more grounding. ]
no subject
I do, a couple of them, but we actually came from another world before this one. None of us have been home in at least several months, some over a year. Kise's a good friend of mine, he has a Villa I think he called her, she looks human but isn't, she can cast illusions and likes messing with people.
[Never mind his pink ear tips here because she totally got him the night before and he is a bit embarrassed by it.]
no subject
Ehh?! Really?! This is not your first time being kidnapped by aliens?! All your friends stay together, too? That’s amazing! And scary! Are you scared? You seem so brave about it! Do you like living in outer space now? Are these worlds really different from yours? How long has it been since you’ve seen your home? That’s crazy!
no subject
Yup, there are four of us who all remember the place we were before, our other friend seems to have forgotten all about it. I think there might be more, we were supposed to save that world, guess maybe we did it so they sent us on to the next. They are way different than mine, I just live in normal, every day Japan in my world. No magic or aliens. I miss it, but Ace-sama needs me, can't abandon him now. [He thinks about it for a moment, counting in his head.]
Almost five months, but two of my friends were there for a year or about before I showed up.
no subject
[ She pauses, stunned, processing. ]
So you saved that world... and now you have to come to this world to save our world?! Miwako is Japanese too, I don’t want Tokyo to disappear! But I don’t know how to save the world. I’ve never met any aliens until now, either. I mean — possibly one, but that’s neither here nor there...
no subject
[It's a lot, he knows, he had months to adjust and his best friend to help him through it. It definitely made a difference and he knows he was lucky.]
I guess, honestly it was like we were there one day and then we were here, I don't know for sure what happened. But now it looks like we're trying to save our world which is pretty important. I don't think these are aliens, more like fairies and stuff.
no subject
[ This is the detail to get hung up on, Miwako, really? It’s an important distinction to make, clearly... ]
So... in this case... we’ll both be saving Japan together, then, nee~? Ganbatte~!
[ She smiles brightly at him, finally prying her attention fully away from her glowing hands, which she splays out cheerfully, palms open. She’s at least found a compatriot! More or less. Normal, non-magic Japan(s)... ]
no subject
[Clearly, though he is pretty sure there are no aliens, Prismaticans looked alien, these creatures do not, the people look like people to him.]
Thank you, it seems that way. [He is not sure about playing super-hero, he'll do his best but he will stay out of harm's way, he and his friend made a promise. And Kise is important to him.] Let's work hard together.
[He pauses, then adds] But stay safe, there seem to be actual fighters, might want to let them be the big guns and just learn magic and have fun.
no subject
[ Of all the things to get put out by in this situation... She thinks like an alien, herself, oy! ]
Miwako’s never gotten in a fight before even once. Although I did kinda wanna beat up George when he broke Caroline’s heart... Ugh. I don’t know what pink glitter magic and a sparkling bunny can do for fighting, but I wanna help however I can!
no subject
[It's okay if they are rolling with the alien thing he will roll with it.]
I learned some hand to hand stuff back on the other planet, but I am not fighter. Hey if nothing else maybe you can distract them with glitter while I make them swallow a leaf?
[He snickers, cause it sounds so ridiculous.]
no subject
Hehe, I think that sounds like a battle plan~ Disorienting surprise attack! We'd be a good team, nee? This world better watch out!
no subject
Plsu she reminds him of Usagi and he misses her a great deal, so it's nice to stand here talking with her. At her enthusiasm he gives another snicker, it filters into a full belly laugh that ends with a grin.]
We'll take them by storm, they won't know what hit them! Though, maybe we should practice first?
no subject
[ She looks to her hands, still in awe that she has a magic power at all, let alone one she's so enchanted by. But she looks back up at the boy cheerfully, somehow expectant. ]
no subject
[He grins, then he get an idea.]
Or...
[Takao raises a hand, sliding his fingers to the left he concentrates and slowly brushes her bangs along her forehead, all without touching her.]
I did it!
omg this is ancient so i understand if you wanna drop it but hi ten years later i'm back lol
Ohmygod you moved my hair!
