Regardless of what you were in the middle of, you and your familiar have been magically pulled into the world of Avalon just above the Bay's slightly chilled waters. After a brief plunge into the Bay, the rush of water filling your ears and soaking up into every creak and crevice of your body, you may need to cough to clear your airways when you rise above the surface. It's still chilly, but not enough that you can't manage on your own. The Lady of the Lake is swimming around under the water, but seems to be focusing on coordinating a band of chia manatees to help rescue any wayward new arrivals. Chia manatees are a special Avalonian manatee that is green in color and has what appears to be a patches of grass or other short plantlife growing on its back. While some are fully green, others sport small flower blossoms that haven't yet grown in or various types of mushrooms. If anyone tries to ask the Lady of the Lake for directions, she will direct you to Archimedes at the Rent-a-Ride. Those with animal magic may get their info from the manatees, though may notice that they're really overly friendly and have zero concept of personal boundaries. Everyone may notice they have no concept of personal space, as they will happily run right into someone's belly for a snoot squishing. The shores themselves are littered with new arrivals complaining their way up a staircase carved into the walls of the White Cliffs. There is no railing, so be careful, but if you do fall, be prepared for a mysterious sand hand to reach out of the side of the cliffs to catch you. The hand will pat you atop the head twice before retreating back into the wall. This is the Cliff Beast; despite the name, he is quite friendly. *Reminder: Your character's familiar may or may not be with your character in their initial plunge. If the familiar isn't partial to water, it may meet your character on the beach or sit atop their head while they swim. Or if they are, they might splash about and swim alongside your character. Familiars have different personalities and body specs and we leave those up to the players. B ⦿ The Caravan to Camelot Once everyone is wrangled up to the top of the White Cliffs, the handsome owner of the Rent-a-Ride, Archimedes, will distribute smart phones and a pair of earbuds and tell them to "Check the Shit Box." The "Shit Box" refers to wardrobe more formally known as the Wardrobe of Finding, a hammerspace-like wardrobe that opens to each person's items and pets when the person touches the handle. It was recently enchanted by Merlin to prevent people from having to fish their waterlogged possessions and pets out of the water with them. From there, Archimedes directs everyone to settle in groups into modernized carriages pulled by horses and gives them a basic explanation of why and how they've been brought to Avalon: The rest of the universe is frozen in time and your character has been brought here by a familiar that was able to bond with them. They'll have to learn magic to help save their own world from destruction, but first they've got to get them to Camelot. It is here that you have the first opportunity to decide who they will be in their new home. You'll have about an hour to wander around here, meet and greet, and pet the horses before it's time to go. These carriages use fae technology that combats weight, so your character will be able to get in regardless of whether they're light as a feather or weigh two tons. The carts have air conditioning when it's hot, heating when it's cold, and a mystical shield to protect from bugs. There is also a mini-bar that pops out of the console with nip bottles. Characters can use their smartphones to connect to Camelot's internet service, avalononline (AOL), to chat with other characters, watch dumb videos, learn about the world, contact Camelot Support (they'll answer any questions they can for you, from how to use a smart phone to where to find quests and resources to learn more about your magic). Be careful if you decide to use your phones while in the caravan-- if you don't use those earbuds and start forcing everyone to listen to your nonsense, Archimedes may make you walk. C ⦿ The Red Spring The journey from the White Cliffs to the City of Camelot is a long one, and the first evening you arrive you'll end up spending at the Red Spring, a booming resort town. Because of the volume of new arrivals and vacationers, inn rooms are assigned two-to-a-room. The rooms have two twin beds, a bathroom, a mini-fridge and microwave, and a TV equipped with a couple of entertaining video games and a few free movies. If you don't want to relax in the room, try taking a dip in the spring for another chance to meet your fellow travelers. The waters have restorative properties that help horses and travelers recover quickly when drunk. It is known to relieve stress, improve energy levels, and mildly accelerate healing. It may be a little chilly when you get out though, so make sure you don't slip rushing back indoors when you get out! The springs are also home to a large training grounds just outside town limits, where there are teachers who will teach basic magic safety and help you discover what kind of magic you have together with other new arrivals. Try target practice, obstacle courses, meditation circles, and other ways to try to figure out just what you can do... if you didn't already have an accidental discovery on the ride there. The Isle of Avalon is abuzz with excitement for the upcoming Spring Equinox (though some of the more posh citizens will insist it's the Vernal Equinox, tut tut). Unlike the very specific rituals of the Winter Solstice that require much preparation, the Spring is welcomed throughout the month through a variety of small rituals to help the world along as it renews itself, growing new plants and allowing nature to make new life. A ⦿ The Lesser Banishing of Frost Fairies Throughout February, the Frost Fairies were running amok and keeping things chilly, even awarding those who gave them treats last month. These fairies create ice crystals on contact and can be spotted by the beautiful ice crystal patterns that form in their trail. They cause frost bite if you physically touch them, so capture isn't recommended. They seem to be sticking around a little too long this month, as they're normally supposed to leave at the end of February. No one seems alarmed, as it seems that this happens from time to time. It's easy enough to deal with-- and so, people throughout town are being asked to perform a ritual called the Lesser Banishing of Frost Fairies. It's perfectly safe, and lets these invisible little creatures be sent on their way until the next winter. The first step: create bait. Fill a planter with dusty miller and silver sage, with a night-blooming flower at the center. The silvery-white leaves pique the curiosity of the Frost Fairies because they look snowy, yet when they see the flower bloom, they know it cannot be. The plants won't be damaged at all in the ritual, so you'll get a moon garden out of it, which can be incidentally draw adorable little moon rabbit kits in to play inside your home while the moon is out. They're friendly, though they do tend to enjoy pack-sized snuggles-- you may find yourself stuck with no fewer than 15 rabbits attempting to climb on you for attention and need someone's help to pull them off. You may need to get them under control before you continue with the ritual. Once you've assembled your miniature moon garden, you'll need to find a stranger to perform the ritual. You need to bring a new energy into your home in order to let the Frost Fairies know that it's time to meet something new. Take hands with the new person and dance in circles around the miniature moon garden. The plants will start to glow and the Frost Fairies will become visible-- short, fat, all-white penguin with flamingo-length legs and icicle crowns. They will immediately challenge you and your summoning partner to a duel! Though, you can pick what kind of challenge it is as their culture dictates. They're pretty overconfident, just remember not to pick something that involves touching them unless you want to end up needing a healer. B ⦿ The Language of Flowers Once the Frost Fairies are properly banished, flowers are starting to crop up all around Camelot, the Broceliande, the fields in between, and those who come back to the White Cliffs after arrival will even find the Cliff Beast in a pleasant mood from all the lovely little flowers hanging off of his clifftop. (No one's quite sure how a cliff seems happy, but that's the sense everyone gets.) Wherever you may be, there are flowers starting to crop up. Normally, this would be when people would start gathering decorations to cover the buildings and make flower altars, but a lot of the wild flowers normally accessible... well... It looks like a brood of dragons hatched a little early and, upon seeing all the flowers start to crop up, decided that these flowers are the treasures that they want to hoard. The baby dragons didn't fly too far down from their mountain, but once one of them flew past the Lands of Rot and found the fields of flowers, it got its siblings. Now there are a handful of baby dragons claiming different areas as their hoard and making it impossible to get around without being attacked by an admittedly cute fire-breathing menace. No one wants the baby dragons slain, but the baby dragons need to be brought back to their mother's cave in the Ash Mountains. The safest way is through the half-dead area between the Dusklight Woods and the Lands of Rot. The dragons will attack anyone who comes into their area but seem to be friendly toward anyone wearing a flower crown, as they seem to accept them as a part of their hoard if the flowers send the right message. Use the language of flowers to communicate with the dragons and try to get them to follow you by wearing a flower crown that matches one you offer to the dragon. A flower crown that says sympathy and sadness might not be as effective as something that says virtue and bravery. Just be careful not to woo them the wrong impression with something that says eternal love and devotion, or you might have a different kind of dragon problem... Regardless, since the dragons are guarding the flowers you need to make the crowns out of, you'll need to find a way to get past their attacks to gather flowers to begin with to find the flowers you want to make your crown with. Flower crowns need at least two types of flowers to communicate with the dragons, so it's recommended you work together with others to try to gather as many flowers as you can to find the flowers you need. Thankfully, since dragons are sacred, most of the Dusklight Woods creatures will leave you alone, so it's best to hug that side of the mixed path. You and whoever you're working with only have to worry about fighting alongside the baby dragons to fight off the Land of Rot creatures that hang around the edge: Skeleton warriors that can only be scattered but not killed, Fogueria (a lion made of fire that likes to play with its food in sadistic ways), and rattlesnakes. Once you're at the foot of the Ash Mountains, the baby dragons will fly back up to their cave on their own. With the baby dragons returned to their nest, you can head home, and the townsfolk can start decorating for the Spring Equinox. C ⦿ Spiritual Cleansing The frost is gone, the flowers are free, and rabbits are running around town like they own the place. All of the physical and symbolic spring equinox preparations are made, now it's time to look within. As the season of renewal and rebirth, a huge part of that is personal reflection and growth. As such, outdoor meditation and yoga flash parties are all the rage right now. Get caught it one and you and anyone around you will be stuck in a barrier until you complete at least 5 yoga poses and hold them for 30 seconds each. Some of them are a little challenging.. thankfully, no one is going to stop you from getting help holding them from someone else who's stuck with you. A plague of smoothie hockers has also cropped up around town, which means portable carts offering different magical smoothies is going around selling their fruity and flowery spring flavors for a refreshing boost of your spirit. No, really boost it. The magical effects are in small text underneath the flavors, so they may be easy to miss. Hibiscus-Berry: Vanity Spirit (person may become temporarily obsessed with appearance, finding cute clothes, getting their hair and nails done, needing to be their ideal of attractive) Strawberry-Rose: Romantic Spirit (flirtiness, desire to be romantic with someone) Jasmine-Peach: Friendship Spirit (go out of your way to make new friends, make grand friendship gestures to people you've already befriended or have known for five minutes and want to befriend) Lavender-Mulberry: Distrusting Spirit (paranoid, may start fights because they think someone is out to get them) Butterfly Pea-Lemon Tea: Meditative Spirit (fall asleep easily, peaceful/relaxed about alarming things, sudden penchant for Big Thoughts about the universe) Dandelion-Apple-Banana: Surivival Spirit (sudden desire to do everything yourself, whether that's hunting/gathering food, getting really into DIY projects like making your own soap or building your own chicken hutch because you're going to get your own eggs, or really wanting to live outside for a while) The effects only last for an hour or two, so it's unlikely any real damage can be done (hopefully) but it'll certainly give you a new outlook on life! Spring is in the air, the Equinox is coming, and prep is underway. But all work and no play can get a little boring, right? Avalonians have come together and set up a few activities for Adventurers. While all of these activities can be completed and enjoyed without using magic, participants will be encouraged do to so, don’t worry if it goes a little haywire. There are magical force fields around the play zones to contain any mishaps. A ⦿ Keep it Rollin' Rollin' The first area set up for fun and games is a barrel rolling contest. Participants are split into pairs to compete against each other to see who can roll their partner inside the barrel down the hill and across the finish line the fastest. Springtime is when geysers start bursting around the bottom of the hill though, so you'll have to watch out for those and any boulders to make sure your barrel doesn't burst before you reach the bottom! To make things a little more interesting, the planners had a bit of mischief with the barrels... As barrels reach a quarter of a way down the hill, the outside will burst into flames. Surprise! While they are enchanted so that the flames aren't actually hot, participants are not aware of this. Sorry, the guys running this game aren’t that big on explaining; after all, it’s just rolling a fire barrel down the hill; what’s so complicated? Fire makes it look like it's going faster and is way more exciting to watch! B ⦿ Hop Skip and a Jump Everyone loves hopscotch, right? Well, whether you do or don’t, that next zone is all about the hop, the skip, and the jump. Two hopscotch boards about the size of a basketball court each are laid out side by side for participants. The object again, to see who can complete the task that fastest. If you reach a spot with a magic symbol, you have to cast a spell at your opponent or you can't proceed. This is combat hopscotch! Of course, once more, the folks running the show forgot to mention one tiny thing, a quarter of the way into the board, random spots will drop away as you go, leaving holes in the ground! Yikes, better take that leap! Don’t worry, if you miss, the bottom of the hole is filled with marshmallow fluff in bright pink, yellow, and pastel purple. (Kind of reminds you of something, huh...?) Down in the hole are rungs and footholds to get yourself back out, but boy, will that put you behind the other guy if they didn’t fall. Well, guess victory will have to be a little sweeter than you planned! C ⦿ Gettin' Brewy With It Now, this activity probably seems a little safer. Welcome to the “Brew” tent. Participants will be given ingredients, space, and set up in pairs to brew up a tasty drink! A variety of ingredients are available and with it, participants will be taught the Recipe: Brewery. This spell can be used to accelerate brewing and distilling processes for alcoholic drinks. Of course, if someone who is too young to drink according to their world's rules, any alcohol in the drink will evaporate, so it's really only a spell that's useful for adults... but everyone can participate in making drinks. You can pick any ingredients you want, but all participants are instructed that a sprinkle of that magic at just the right time will make it perfect. When asked what the right time is, all they will be told is they’ll know when. Some may get it right, depending on instinct. Others might sprinkle too much and cause the drink to burst all over them and their partner, and their workstation or have some other silly side effect, like make them hiccup uncontrollably or catch a case of the giggles. Or maybe they cast for too long or too short a time and the drink turns sour, turns to ash, grows wings on the cup, and flies away. Brewery magic can be fickle, so there's lots that can go wrong.. but get it right, and you can have one heck of a drink to enjoy! Set | The God of Calamity Wishes For Naught | Healing

A. Where's My Brother?
[Being an Egyptian god means you don't exactly feel cold or anything but especially so when you are the god of deserts and you just always dress like it. But once he's in the water and immediately unable to breathe then he's freaked because he sure isn't a god here. He's able to break the water and take a deep breath, eyes wide because he's freezing. Trying to swim, he isn't as fast as he should be and so only one thought comes to mind: this must be the underworld. He's not sure how this happened but this isn't his first time being where he shouldn't be. Even when he's helped to the beach, finding his familiar (who is...familiar). Even when he's being told about his world being frozen and in trouble, that this is Avalon, Set doesn't exactly believe it. Like who would possibly believe that? And he's not being played for a fool again. This must be the underworld and he doesn't know what the point of any of this trickery even is but he's not going to be an idiot.

So in the time they have before they're apparently being carted off to who knows where, he's getting answers. To anybody that meets his sight, he goes to them, all full of foreboding energy. Set is usually considered scary and intimidating.] You. Where's Apophis? What is the point of trying to trick the King of Egypt and where is my lord brother Osiris? [Certainly Osiris is here if this is the underworld.

But yeah, sorry. He isn't buying this.]

B. Healing
[Okay so this isn't the underworld. He's figured that out and somehow, in some unbelievable way, he has to save this world to save Egypt. Okay. He can do that. Even if it's painful because this only means he has to wait even longer to see Osiris again but fine. He's learned by now that his duty isn't a very easy one.

But as somebody who had been shamed for not having any magic, for being somebody that only killed, having healing magic is...a lot. When he had learned all about the different types of magic in this world, he had thought that somehow he would be the sole person to not have any magic. Nothing worked until healing and Set can only stare before he's having a Moment towards the teacher who probably wasn't expecting a fit. He's been better about holding his temper tantrums in better but well, a lot has happened.

Unfortunately for this poor teacher, they have to deal with Set having wounds he was trying to close open up again.]

That can't be right. What kind of joke is it that I heal?! [It's a scene right here as he slams his hand on the nearest surface. If you want to stop him from making an idiot of himself then go ahead or if you're watching him then he'll turn his attention to your character.]

What are you staring at?!

C. I Pick Murder
[You got Set as your partner for this banishing of the frost faeries and that's very unfortunate. He isn't much for talking but apparently, surprisingly, he's very good at dancing even if he's terrible at manners.

However, once the frost faeries show up and say you can pick the duel, Set pulls out his swords.] Then I will cut you where you stand! [Let's kill these things!

If you have a problem with that then try to talk him out of it because he's all for violently bringing these cute things down. Like okay it's a banishing ritual but if you want them gone for good then killing them would work, right?]

D. Yoga Time
[Set has never been the type of meditation or trying to think about anything for too long. Otherwise he gets sad and he'd rather just go out and do shit. Why waffle around when you can get shit done? Although he's learned more about the importance of thinking before you leap and you know, his old ways aren't doing him any favors here. So when he's stuck inside the barrier, he sighs and goes along with the yoga poses. He is very, very agile and flexible as he does a more simple Half Pigeon pose.

But you, whoever you are, are stuck in this barrier with him. Maybe you need help? Set watches the struggle and sighs, annoyed.]

You're going to be stuck here forever if you don't stay still. Don't you know how?

B. Healing

[ Yona had been having her own difficulties figuring her magic out, but it proved to be impossible to try and concentrate when someone started yelling in the middle of the training grounds. Violet eyes pop open to find the source and then narrow at the... well, honestly, the temper tantrum happening in the middle of the area.

She'd gotten up to move closer and see if she could help when angry eyes turned in her direction with a snarled demand. She looks taken aback for a moment before she lifts her chin and firms her shoulders, not letting his tone intimidate her. ]

Why would healing magic be a joke? Do you understand how important that magic is?

1. Caravan to Camelot:

[After her initial panic, Homura had been guided to get her belongings. Watching as others plucked their weapons from the “shit-box” had calmed her down. At least she didn’t have to go diving into the pool to get her sword or scroll. Though once she was over there, she kept on searching through the wardrobe, just to make sure before being shooed away by others. Seemed like only a select number of items made it through. At least she had some means of defending herself; three swords were better than none. However, as she gripped Engetsuka, something felt off. Try as she might, the sword couldn’t be drawn. Again, she got angry, furiously pulling for a good few minutes. One may wonder why a girl was slamming and rolling around with a sword for several minutes, even bitting the handle for good measure as if that would help. But no dice.

She growled. Maybe it just didn’t work? Though that only made her worry about the scroll. Pulling that out, she felt none of the usual magic from it. Even as she opened it up, observing the writing she herself put into it, nothing could be drawn for it. It might as well be paper now. With an aggravated sigh, she stuffs the scroll into her pocket and raises back up. Well, at least this place was kind enough to give her an extra outfit.

The serpent familiar she picked up did at least give her a hug...or she assumed so as it coiled around her arm, head moving to bump next to hers. Managing to put on a tired smile, she patted the creature on the head. Another positive, she wasn’t along, even if this familiar was unknown. Yet she could sense a bit of herself from it. Perhaps the being she could never summon, the animal bound to her, could finally manifest here easily?]

Never got to learn how to use you properly. Guess I get to fix that here, huh?

2. Training Grounds:

[Homura could hardly focus on anything since arriving here. Some of her weapons were still gone, as was her scroll. Engetsuka couldn't be drawn either, further compounding problems. Anyone who traveled with Homura earlier may have noticed her frustration, constantly toying with her weapons and fiddling with the phone to find more info.

For now, she did the only thing she could do: training. She would have preferred to punch something given her frustration. But learning magic was vital, yet also proved quite frustrating. Occasionally her face would scrunch up, indicating some trouble. The answer was simple: she couldn't even start a flicker of flame. Back in her world, flames were easy to conjure up, using them to enhance her attacks and coat her body. The way magic worked was far different from how she performed her shinobi techniques.

Eventually she sighed. Raising her hand though, fire did erupt and engulf it, though she didn't look happy.]

It's like I'm back at being some rookie….

[Though she still had some level of strength from her own world, enough to launch the fire as if it were kunai, and hit the bullseye in the middle a few times. Long-range wasn't her specialty, but anyone in her world could hit a sitting target. Her teacher back then also drilled it into her head. Staring at her hand, she wondered just how much her body could handle the cost of magic.]

3. Language of Flowers

…..Yeah, you do this.

[Homura wasn’t entertained by this idea. Just sounded like dealing with a bunch of spoiled brats. Babysitting was something she hated already, but then she heard of how to truly win them over: flowers. When she heard dragons were involved, she expected some epic fight, sword and sorcery finally brought to her attention. Instead, it was dealing with children with a subject matter she had no real knowledge of. Well, beyond what was poisonous, but none of these types rang a bell to the same flora around the Hebijo training sites. She leaned against a nearby tree, eyeing the dragons still hoarding the flowers.]

Or hell, I’ll keep their attention, you get whatever flowers you need. At least that will keep me awake.

[And hopefully not burn the forest down...hopefully.]

[When Ken had heard about dragons, he too had thought there would be a battle of sorts. After all, in his mind, he expected fire or a group of people in a fight to tame the creature. Instead, he found himself looking for flowers in hopes to communicate with them.

While he didn't mind, it just wasn't what he was expecting. With a sigh, he looked at the ground before looking at Homura.]

And you're not going to help me out? If we work together, I'm sure we'll find something.

[Okay so she has no idea where she is. Coming out of that pod, she was told she would be starting a new life on a new planet. But Yuki's about 90% sure they didn't mean this.

But there's a staircase and she's got like, half an explanation, and standing around doing nothing isn't going to get her anywhere now is it? So up the staircase she goes. If your character isn't moving fast enough and is a guy, she sighs.] Wanna hurry it the hell up? [But if your character is a girl:] Hey, you doing okay?

[Boys are stupid but girls are okay.]

b. i talk to animals
[Yuki Takamiya beats shit up. She punches her way through things and likes brute force. She is intelligent but she'd rather just do something than think about it. That has always been her way.

Since ending up here, still unsure of this is more simulation bullshit or what, she's been hearing things here and there. From the manatees, the horses, and it doesn't take an idiot to figure it out. Apparently she has animal magic. What a bummer. People can blow shit up with fire or electricity and she just talks to animals apparently. Watching people find their magic, Yuki sighs from the sidelines. Maybe your character also has some type of magic that you can't really battle with? Maybe you're a healer or another animal talker or whatever! She looks over, frowning.] What's your deal?

c. banishing these faeries or whatever
[Yuki was not interested in dancing and it took some grumbling but fine! She'll do it since apparently her world is in trouble or something. Like she hasn't heard that one before and last she knew, she should have fixed that but okay. Fine!

Once your character and Yuki summon this faerie, she stares. A duel? She scratches at the back of her head and looks to her ritual partner.] Usually I'd just punch this thing's lights out but something tells me I shouldn't touch it. Got any ideas?

[She's out of them, unfortunately.]

[ This whole ritual sure is A Thing. Dancing is just a cherry on top, not that Akira minds, honestly. The Frost Fairies look a bit different from what he imagined, not that it's all that important right now. ]

It said we can pick, so...maybe we should just pick something that doesn't involve fighting.

[ The alternative is much cooler—he could just set the faerie on fire and call it a day, but that sounds easy. Almost too easy. ]

this is more like what she had expected death to feel like. terror, and the feeling of being so damned cold. still, instinct kicks in as she pushes her way to the surface, gasping in a breath as she slowly begins to realize this is... real. wherever it is. she's alive, with none of the overwhelming fatigue that had dogged her for that last month. none of this makes sense—but still, she finds her way to shore, kicking off as well as she can. it's clear she's not alone here.

she has questions, but it seems like most of the people here are in the same boat. kotone does a double-take as she gets to shore and one strange animal starts to follow her—the hare of inaba. the patchwork rabbit bounds at her heels, keeping pace with her. she glances down, meeting its red eyes with her own.

it's at that moment she realizes how quiet her mind is, in ways it hasn't been in a year. orpheus, thanatos, messiah, cybele, metatron, odin, skadi, scathach, sandalphon, helel, melchizedek, alice—nothing is answering her call. none of the murmurings, commentary, or the sound of lyre strings is in the back of her head. she's alone with her thoughts, not even with these reflections of herself and her bonds.

[ well, the return of her mp3 player, naginata, evoker and gunbelt was nice, even if she can't summon her personas here. on the ride to the town, she had avoided touching her smartphone much—it's nicer than any phone she's ever owned or used by a mile, and some ridiculous part of her is terrified she might break it. instead, for now she just uses her old headphones and mp3 player, listening to some old favorites.

first things first, she goes to the hot springs, getting everything prepared and sinking into the water. the newly christened ina-chan seems to like water, sprawling on top of her head as kotone lets the water go up to just below her nose. she hasn't bothered to put in her usual hairpins or ties again, and her red hair cascades in the water around her shoulders. she tries to center herself, wanting to enjoy the peace of this for a while. still, if someone else found their way in, she wouldn't say no to the company.

afterwards, she heads for the training ground. kotone twirls the naginata at her side, her shadow seeming to flicker oddly. she still hasn't quite figured out what her power is, but as the instructor informs her—dark magic. it strikes her as odd, mudo skills were never her specialty in the least, but hey! it sounds fun and spooky! still, she's shoved off with only a vague suggestion of where to start, and... honestly, she's not sure her enthusiasm is up to the task when she feels this directionless. ]

Um— [ an almost practiced energy replaces the uncertainty on her face as she turns to someone nearby, smiling brightly: ] Hi! Can I practice curses with you?

[Lately, Ken has been wondering if he should even bother coming to the training grounds anymore. After his decision to fully commit to being a normal teenager, he wondered if there was a point in continuing with his training anymore. While he knew he had to keep up with everyone in case something should go wrong, it felt like a waste of time.

As Jack Frost as throwing a bunch of snowballs his way, that's when he heard a voice nearby. He dared not to see who was it was behind him in fear that he was imagining things.

No way. He thought to himself. He hadn't heard that voice in years but he shouldn't be surprised. The dead could be brought here, why wouldn't she be here too?

Just before Ken could turn around and see his leader, that's when a snowball made its way to his face.]

Grand Admiral Thrawn | Star Wars | OTA

Arrival
Thrawn arrives at the White Cliffs in due time, and accepts the electronic device that he's given. It looks like a datapad, but it's smaller, and he's told that it's also a communication device. Most interesting. After he gathers his items from the box, he finds a place to sit down and examine his phone, tapping on the different icons and bringing up the different functions. It's a multi-purpose item, just as he was informed. He wonders if he can bring up local artwork on it.

Language of Flowers
Botany and floriography aren't Thrawn's area of expertise, unless those flowers are used to make art, such as flower pressings or flower arrangements. In a way, flowers are a form of natural art, and are to be appreciated as such. The dragons, those are also out of Thrawn's area of expertise. Clearly they need to be returned, or someone may attempt to exterminate them. It's always better to relocate a species back to its natural habitat than simply destroy it.

So Thrawn waits and watches, examining the dragons' behavior and, through watching them and others, it doesn't take him long to figure out what to do. Now the hard part is going to be figuring out what flowers to use for the flower crowns.

"Perhaps some bluebell will do." He doesn't pick the flowers yet, still deciding, a look of deep thought on his features.

Spiritual Cleansing
Once the business with the dragons is taken care of, Thrawn retreats for now. Thrawn really doesn't like parties or big gatherings like this, but if there's one thing he was taught within the Empire, it's that sometimes one must make connections. And connections are made at events such as these. So he can suck it up and attend, in order to make connections. He probably won't stay long anyway.

Making his way through the party, he's accosted by one of the smoothie carts, the vendor insisting that he just has to try one of the drinks. Thrawn accepts a Jasmine-Peach one just to be polite, taking a small sip.

[So two things happen immediately upon Kratos' arrival. The first thing being the obvious thing, suddenly plummeting out of the sky into the bay just like everybody else, but the second thing is a little less obvious to observers. As soon as he realizes that he's falling, Kratos reflexively tries to bring out his wings, to no avail. Once he reaches dry land, he takes a moment to catch his breath and check himself over, quickly discovering the reason for his lack of wings. Which he will. Keep to himself, but the important thing is that he is very much just a normal wingless human guy now and he's not sure how he feels about that right now.

Well, inconvenienced by it, at this specific point in time. He stands at the water's edge for probably a weirdly long time, staring out over the water as he tries to make up his mind on whether or not he should dive back in and search for the kind of important thing that he's apparently lost. This might not be the best idea, seeing as he's already so cold that he's shivering, but he sure is thinking about it. It may not be as miserably cold here as it was like a month ago, but when you're used to being able to turn off your senses when they're inconvenient, it's a bit of a system shock.]

Caravan:
[After deciding that he doesn't feel like going swimming with whatever the hell those animals were, Kratos scales the stairs of the White Cliffs. He makes it up easily enough, perhaps offering his assistance to anyone having trouble on the way up. After retrieving his shit from the Shit Box (his sword and an empty Key Crest, not everything he was missing HMM) and listening to Archimedes explain all of this ridiculousness, he wanders off to familiarize himself with his smart phone until it's time to go. Unfortunately, once on the carriage, it's impossible to avoid interacting with other people. Just because he prefers to keep to himself doesn't mean he has to be an antisocial weirdo, though. Not that he'll go out of his way to make small talk, but if he sees someone struggling with their new phone, he may as well offer his assistance.]

Are you having difficulty with that device? If you would like some help, I have a good idea of how it works.

The Red Spring:
[Having no idea what the hell else he can even do with his time at the moment, Kratos spends most of it at the training grounds. He's not quite as quick to pick the magic here up as he was the smart phone, and what magic he does manage to pull off isn't nearly as powerful as it had been before, but at least it's progress. I mean, he almost set the person next to him on fire, if that counts as progress.

Still not accustomed to just being human, he pushes himself to the point of exhaustion at the training grounds, and doesn't stop until pretty late into the night. Eventually he makes his way to the inn, quietly entering the room that he's sharing with his mystery roommate. If they're still awake, he gives a quick nod and goes about his business. If they're asleep, he will try his damndest to enter quietly and not wake them.

And then trip over a chair in the dark because he can't see for shit now. Ssssorry roomie.]

[ It was really lucky that Totoko could swim. Naturally she wasn't too thrilled about her soaked clothes, the temperature of the Bay chilling her to the bone, and of course... the utter surprise. She had just finished drinking at Chibita's and had been planning to make her way back home, thinking about the mistakes certain people she knew were making.

Her first thought was that she had a few too many and fell into the river, but getting nudged by a really... really weird looking manatee dispelled that pretty quickly. In trying to swim away, it was only a matter of time before she met her new friend.

Which is why when she approaches, she's got a pink octopus-like creature with fairly long tentacles hanging off of her head. It feels kinda gross, but her familiar's also cute, so don't mind. Focus on the cute girl, approaching, looking confused. ]

[ It's slowly kinda setting in that Totoko's not heading back to Akatsuka Ward anytime soon, but at the same time... there's something about this place that she really likes! Okay, so there's about a zero percent chance of that happening, but a girl can dream, can't she?

As Totoko makes it to the Red Spring, she's... immediately taken aback by having to share a room with someone else. Not only was it terrible that the room was very clearly too small for someone like her, but having to share it? Terrible!

So if you've managed to land a room with Totoko, be advised that unless you're a hot guy, she's staring daggers at you. And if you are a hot guy... she's still staring daggers at you, but might be looking with a smile on her face.

[Usually when one says they have places to go, they don't usually end up in a random body of water out of nowhere. So it's with much sputtering and flailing that Chara can be found in the Bay before a helpful manatee gets them to the shore.

So before they make their way to finding anything out, they're going to be busy wringing out their clothes (while keeping them on) and giving off an air of being very put out.]

[Now a bit dryer, and with a goat following them for some reason, Chara had found their way to the caravan. After getting their smartphone and other items, a heart-shaped locket and a knife that looks like it's no good for anything but gardening, they can either be found in one of the carriages waiting for it to leave or perhaps just hanging off to the side.

Of course now that they have a phone they are of course going to do something with it. Like access the network and make a post of some sorts.]

[Dragons are something that Chara kind of gets, even if there weren't any such things back home in the Underground, they get monsters. Monsters are easy and much better than humans in their opinion.

So when it comes out that the dragons need moving, and it takes a flower crown to get close? Chara is on that like white on rice, they end up picking a flower they know well for their crown. Buttercups, which they don't know the exact meaning behind the flower but whatever. It works, and they can be found heading towards the path indicated with their baby dragon in tow although not fully aware of how dangerous it can be.

Maybe someone will spot them before they get too far and offer to help out.]

[ needless to say, Klee is not a happy camper when she hops onto the caravan. she's a strong swimmer, so that much wasn't a problem, nor was the strangely friendly pyro slime that's taken a liking to her - in fact, it's actually bringing her some comfort in its warmth, sitting cozily on her head. what has her worried is that her knapsack is missing, with it all of her bombs and, more importantly, Dodoco. she and Dodoco have never been separated, and the very prospect of it, let along the reality, is something Klee is finding hard to grasp. upon getting into the caravan, she's immediately looking in every possible corner for her friend, and probably getting into your personal space while doing so. ]

Not here... not here... and not here, either! Dodoco, where are you? [ you may find it prudent to help this little girl that looks like she's on the verge of tears, but even if you're not, she's going to ask anyway. ] Can you help me find her? Please!

she's so focused on her missing friend that she hasn't paid any attention to the device that's been handed to her, nor the mention of the "shit box", the one place that she hasn't thought to look. if you can get her to relax, maybe that would be a good place to continue the search. ]

[ when you're a young girl in a brand-new world and looking for something to do, obviously you're going to go for the option that gets your rolling down a hill at high speeds. Klee is incredibly excited at the idea, even if the person she's been partnered with is expressing reservations. she recognizes this, and is more than ready to offer reassurance! ]

Don't worry! Klee doesn't get dizzy easily, so I'll be OK. And I'm small, which means we'll go suuuuuuuuper fast and win for sure!

[There's nothing in the world quite like being plunged from the silky smooth ride of the maglevs between Nagoya and Shinjuku into the icy waters of some wherever this was. No, actually it takes Hitoya mere seconds to decide there's absolutely nothing like that at all. Mere seconds more for him to worry that they've somehow taken a deep dive into the waters that surround the island nation before logic wins out. The Tokaido line spends most of its journey enclosed in tunnels and, furthermore, its journey takes it nowhere near the coast.

That's about as far as logic takes him before some verdant variety of sea cow jostles him to the surface where some other manner of obnoxious black bird takes to pestering him despite his best--and harshest--attempts to ward it off. And then the whole surrounding world start to come to life in wholly unnatural ways. A psychedelic fever dream. That's what he settles on with a mental note to take up the issue with a certain pipsqueak punk whenever he sees him again. And another note that it's probably exactly what the bastard wanted.

By the time they regain their belongings it's almost a relief that his box contains a pack of smokes if nothing else. A small comfort until the ordeal is over. And enough that he doesn't bother to check until they've piled into the carriages. Maybe it's presumptuous; though at least he has the decency to take a seat along the perimeter for whatever meagre difference that makes.

The foil lined packaging crinkles as he fishes inside, then a frown following a thorough investigation of the contents. Finally, when inverting it entirely into his hand produces only a few cigarettes, he sighs. His grey eyes turn a shade more shrewd as finally looks around to consider his company as if his next move were paramount.]

[As the latent season of frost already proceeds into spring, the honeymoon phase of Hitoya's denial has long since thawed. Still, with more questions left than answers uncovered he has to fall back on what he does best and that requires research at the most basic level.

As for how he ended up in one of the yoga parties that was more reminiscent of the community exercise for retirees back home? That had far less to do with any enlightenment he had hoped to gain from tantric exercise than the fact that it stood between his current resident and the library where he'd pass each morning for the length of time it took to finish two cups of coffee from the in house cafe.

By now, more than one person has tried to engage him but he dismisses them all with arms crossed and a polite nod. Try again in 30 or so years.]

a. the lesser banishing of frost fairies

( If anything, it seems like the frost fairies weren't there just to really cause trouble. In a way, their presence was something that seemed to be almost a celebration of winter – well.... even if spring was very much on the way here. It feels a little cruel to force them to leave, but Tohru can understand it too. Everyone was looking forward to spring, and wouldn't the fairies be happier in a place where they'd be able to enjoy themselves more? Perhaps in a place that would remain colder than this.

She's just glad that the task at hand isn't something that will hurt them, and while she's not certain that she'll do well in helping-- she'll do her best regardless!

After carefully creating the bait, she finds herself amazed at the appearance of moon rabbits. She can't help but clap her hands together, eyes practically shining in adoration of the animals. )

I can't believe it! They're all so adorable!

( Except... maybe her experience in gardening was a little too helpful. She's attracted far too many rabbits, and they all seem to be heading towards her with every intention of attempting to climb on her. )

And so, she's helping in a way that she... may just be able to do so. And that means making flower crowns. While she's not exactly confident in her handiwork, she's putting her all into it regardless. )

( Everything always seems so much lively and colorful when spring truly starts, doesn't it? With the spirits gone and dragons reunited with their parents, it feels like everyone's celebrating in a way – even the flowers.

Unfortunately--.... well.... Tohru is so distracted by the area around her that she doesn't exactly pay attention to where she's going. She finds herself stopping right when the yoga party begins, and unfortunately caught in the barrier.

When she's explained the rules, she agrees to do what she can, but she seems a little uncertain. Still, she got everyone into this mess, she can get them out!

Though, during the first yoga pose-- she finds herself falling flat on her face. She doesn't think she's ever tried to bend her body in such a way... Still, regardless – she quickly picks herself up, more than willing to try again. She pumps her fist, speaking in a rather dramatic way for the situation at hand. )

[ Being thrust into a new world can be pretty overwhelming for one, but thankfully Futaba's experiences in the Metaverse have her grown accustomed to otherworldly things. All things considered, everything she is learning about this world is sounding more like some RPG, something she's also no stranger to. Still, she has no choice but take all the information at face value right now, which is definitely making her worry about her actual homeworld. She needs to get in touch with the other Phantom Thieves as soon as she figures out how... assuming any of them are here.

For now, she has to deal with the fact that she has temporary roomies, which is the biggest cause of her anxieties at the moment. Luckily, she has found a nice closet to hide in, but she can only stay in there for so long before hunger kicks in. ]

[ Welp! It's time to level up, and if Futaba is going to be any use to her allies, she needs to learn how to use her newly granted powers ASAP. She heard that there is a place at the Red Spring where one can hone their magic, but... she starts to tremble when she shows up at the training grounds, only to see an obstacle course ahead of her.

There are other facilities more suited for her magic, of course, but she's too focused on her first impression of the place. ]

What? H-Hang on, I can't do this, no way! I'm an e-sports type of girl, this is way out of my depth!

[ Blaze had kind of been hoping to give the obstacle course a go just for the fun of it, not necessarily because it had anything to do with her new magic. Something to show that she hasn’t lost her edge just because she can’t do some of the things she used to be able to do back home.

However, when she gets there she finds some poor Hyur girl shaking like a leaf. Poor thing must be really out of her depth - not that she knows what an e-sport is, but Blaze’s heart goes out to her all the same.

For someone so big, Blaze has a tendency to move near-silently most of the time, so rather suddenly there will be a voice calling from somewhere far, far above Futaba’s head. ]

I don’t think anyone here is going to make you do anything.

Yoon | Akatsuki no Yona | Healer

A. Arrival
[ Yoon isn't the most adept swimmer. In fact, he practically panics being fully submerged all of a sudden like that. He gets booped in the back by a manatee, releases what little breath he had in him, and starts to desperately reach for the surface. Finally, the manatee has mercy on him and lets him cling to a fin while swimming upwards.

While Yoon is grateful, he sputters and focuses on wiping the water out of his face. He completely misses that he's being carried on the manatees back to shore now. He's very out of sorts right now. Even then, the first thing he checks on is his bag at his side, which of course is gone right now, and only then notices he's moving not on his own power. ]

WHAT THE-?!

[ Unceremoniously, he's left to roll back into the wake at the shoreline, wet yet again. ]

Didn't even let me say thank... you...

[ Yoon starts to get a glimpse at all of the new arrivals on shore, and some of them just absolutely blow his mind. ]

Eh-? EHHHH?!

[ He noticeably darts his attention to the left and the right, all over the place. He's so confused and trying to take this in that he backs up over some rocks, losing his balance and about to go right back into the water when that sandy hand comes out to gently steady him.

Yoon blanches as he looks down. The Cliff Beast's hand lets him go quicker than he can scramble away, but he's clearly about to go down to his knees any second now - a little overwhelmed.

Maybe you're one of the people he's been gawking at, or maybe you'd like to help calm him down. He's nowhere ready to head to Camelot like this. ]

B. Badger Badger Badger Badger...
[ Waiting near the Rent-A-Ride is Yoon's familiar. He is not the one with an animal companion in his traveling group back home, so when he hears a low voice trying to politely get someone's attention, he doesn't think it's for him. Yoon's too busy thinking about everything Archimedes said. "Familiar" is only one of the foreign concepts he's coming to grips with and his hands are quite busy with what is currently functionally a thin, smooth rock for all he understands about it. ]

Excuse me- Hello? Over here.

[ Yoon's back is to the oversized, striped-faced badger. Slowly, the creature gets up with a bit of a resigned sigh. He has the bearing of a kindly uncle trying to help out his clueless nephew, and his voice is rich like the earth. It sounds like it would take a lot to rattle him, let alone get him to raise his voice to a shout. ]

Young man...

[ The badger heads towards Yoon, but not at great speed either. Can you help the badger get acquainted with the magically unacquainted boy? There's also the matter of getting his bag from the Shit Box before they depart. And if you sound remotely familiar with what's going on, there will be a whole lot more badgering questions coming from Yoon than the animal, such as WHAT THE HECK IS A SMARTPHONE ANYWAY? Start from the top, because Yoon's pre-Industrial Age by... a lot. ]

C. Calm
[ The Red Spring is the perfect place to talk to Yoon after he's started to digest his new situation. It might not all make sense quite yet, but he's not expecting to wake up any second now and he's a little more accustomed to all of the strangeness... partly because The Red Spring is the area most like his homeland (kind of - the well-off parts) and so it's easier to focus on the new.

He could even be the one to strike up a conversation, especially if it's two people in a spring together. He's a handsome young man, but male nonetheless, and he is very respectful of women - so he's not about to go peeking through to the lady's side, nor would he gawk at a lady if it's a gender-neutral spa area. It could be on the way in or out of the spring.

Or maybe you ended up as roommates? He was probably quiet for a long time as he muddled through things before finally speaking up. ]

So... [ He tries to look the other person in the face. ] I'm Yoon. You wouldn't happen to be from around here, would you?

[ Having just got out of the hot springs herself, Yona's wrapped in a warm robe to start heading back for her room. The soak had helped - especially after being chilled from her unexpected dunking earlier today. Her hair is gathered up in a loose knot at the nape of her neck, but a few damp tendrils still hang down around her face as she steps out of the area she'd been relaxing.

Only to bump into a figure coming out from the other side. Caught off-guard, she stumbles, hastening to apologize for her clumsiness. ]

Oh! I'm so sorry, I didn't mean...

[ And then she stops. And stares. Barely daring to believe her own eyes, she stands frozen to the spot. ]

i. arrival.

Takizawa's initial reaction to being dumped into a lake out of nowhere is an indignant squawk (accompanied with a mental 'But why??'). He flails and sputters a bit in his shock but eventually settles on treading water, frowning at his surroundings through dripping strands of hair that he attempts to blow out of the way.

He isn't in Tokyo. He knows so much of that bustling city by heart and this isn't part of it. The half-ghoul has to question whether or not he's even in Japan, though how he would have been transported elsewhere he couldn't say.

"Is this a new relocation program?" There's no one in particular to yell at but that won't stop him from doing it anyway. "I don't think it'll go over well!"

As he starts to swim toward shore, his baggy robe choice soon becomes an issue. With a little more flailing in the water he's able to remove it, tying it around his waist for now. If they were going to drop him off with land in sight anyway the least they could have done was give him an inflatable raft.

ii. the red spring.

While his first dip in the waters of this place might not have been all that pleasant, this one is something he can deal with. So there is now a very pale man with equally pale hair sitting halfway in the water with his arms bent up on either side of him on the edge and his head tilted skyward. His eyes are closed. He would stay here all day if he wouldn't turn into a giant prune in the process. He's tempted to do it anyway.

Maybe he can wrangle someone into bringing him a drink. Or a burger. Or both. He can have both of them now and actually enjoy them. It's wild just thinking about it.

The former half-ghoul raises an arm and snaps his fingers at the first other person he sees out of the water. "Hey, do you think you can grab me something?"

iii. spiritual cleansing.

With a brightly colored smoothie in one hand, Takizawa is staring at the dark nails on his other with a frown.

He mutters to himself, but it's hard to hear in the crowd. "...too goth. I should paint over them."

Taking another sip from his Hibiscus-berry drink, the man is already contemplating a change of wardrobe. Do him a favor and stop him - or help him out so he regrets everything later.

[ With those words, he lets his own cognitive magic reach out to touch Takizawa, instilling the urge to follow Karma's command regardless of whether the impulse is actually followed. ]

Red Spring

[The arrival in this place had been interesting enough. Falling into a lake, a hike up a hill, and then a carriage ride to this resort city. She checked into one of the rooms before walking to the springs with the Anemo Slime that had attached itself to her when she arrived. It hadn't left her side since she climbed out of the lake earlier.

Walking to the springs, she pulls off her boots and rolled up her leggings to dip her legs in the water. The Slime rested in her lap while she relaxed.]

What do you think is going on at home?

Frost Fairies

[Jean decided to help with the frost fairy ritual, setting up one of the miniature gardens with everything it needed for the fairies to come. She was fully expecting creatures like the Crystalflies back at home to show up.

Setting the garden down, she looks around for someone nearby.]

Oh, excuse me. Can you assist me with this?

Brewy

[She didn't have experience as a bartender, that was Master Diluc's area of expertise, but Jean figured she would give it a try. (It helped that the Slime wandering with her decided to shove ingredients towards her...helpfully.) She's already had a cup or two fly away, and one become bitter, but she's getting better at it.

She's giggling as the result of another mishap as she speaks.]

[ The hard part is already done, which is the garden and everything that goes into it, and Karma had just assumed people would leave it out as bait and come... running in with nets or something, the same way they'd lured the fairies with ice cream the month before. ]

Caravan

Since they have nothing but time, as the carriages (lavish to make even the wealthiest member's of Zexen's ruling merchant council positively green with envy), Chris has given herself the task to figure out this strange "smart-phone" she's been given. It became quickly apparent she's on the backfoot, technologically-speaking, and she's determined to close the knowledge gap as quickly as she can. Navigating the phone became much easier when she took her armoured gauntlets off, now resting on her lap. There's a strange flame-like pattern on the back of her right hand, akin to a strangely-placed tattoo.

"There are quite a lot of moving pictures...ah, what did he call them? V...Videos? There are a great many videos of cats on this device." Her brow furrows. "A strange way to spend one's time, I'd say." She muses to whoever she might be sharing the carriage with.

Still, a tiny smile is playing about her lips, suggesting she's more entertained by them than she's letting on.

Frost Fairy Bait

Chris has never been the most magically-inclined person; she's always been more comfortable swinging her sword than attempting runic magic back home, and was never able to draw out the full potential of the True Fire Rune once she claimed it. But magic is what she must learn if she is to be any help in saving the world, and if she must learn, she will. She has followed the instructions on creating this bait for the frost fairies to the letter, and regrettably also chose to do it outside because she feared a mishap occurring indoors, which is perhaps why she's currently covered in rabbits.

"Yes, hello, you are very adorable, but please—" She has to reach up and carefully remove one that has clambered up onto her head. She lowers it so they are face to face and she can have a Serious Talk with the moon rabbit "This is very delicate work and I do not need complications."

Unfortunately, the moon rabbits don't appear to be getting the message and they swarm around her feet. There's someone nearby, and so she calls out to them. After all, she will need a stranger to complete the ritual.

"Your pardon, could I beg your assistance?"

Flower Crowns

Chris has dealt with dragons before, but flowers is an entirely new way of dealing with them. After some time researching, she's hit upon purple columbine and edelweiss as flowers for a crown that will send the right message. Unfortunately, this will require getting past some baby dragons that have claimed a patch of edelweiss for themselves.

"Subterfuge is not an area in which I am particularly gifted, but I am more than capable of playing the decoy and distracting the dragons, if you can sneak around and grab some of the flowers." Chris advises. She brought her sword but doesn't plan on using it, instead relying upon her armour to blunt any blows the dragons may strike at her with. "Though the quicker you can be about it, the better. Even a hatchling dragon is still a dragon. Can you do it?"

Flower Crowns - Yay more Suikodens!

[Hawk had gotten himself roped into this due to the promise of better fight than the baby dragons. He's actually got experience with subterfuge, he just prefers a direct approach. So at least Chris is in luck there.]

Guess it's time to put my experience breaking into a prison to good use. There just had better be a good fight later to make up for this shit.

A. All Aboard the Fake It Til You Make It Train
[ Last he knew, Schmendrick was fleeing for his life from a madman with a sword and a screaming skull, through a misty magic, and... then water? Maybe he did die after all. Or maybe this is one of those weird dreams. Regardless, with no expectation of help from anyone, Schmendrick dutifully wrings out his clothes and follows the crowd, trying to blend in as much as possible. It isn't until they all meet Archimedes that Schmendrick's eyes go wide open. ]

Well, surely there must be some mistake, I'm not--

[ But he can't get Archimedes' attention of course. ] I'm no hero... that's not my story...

[ Thinking that maybe he can just shrug this off like he has so many times before, he plants himself in front of the many caravans and horses. Time to entertain again - it's been awhile since he did it for a crowd, sure, but this is the easy stuff. ]

Step on through, ladies and gentlemen, through the crowds and towards your carriages!

[ Schmendrick dramatically arches his left hand over his head - kind of like symbolizing a rainbow - expecting an array of colored orbs to appear for him to start 'juggling' but none do. ]

Heh, heh, a little waterlogged I guess... [ He makes a point of twisting his billowing cloak at the each giant armhole before trying again. ] Onward~!

[ But still nothing. Every time he fails, he mumbles some excuse or another. He can't get his cloak to dance, he drops his hat when he tries to make it disappear instead, and he can't even release a puff of smoke from his lips, let alone summon his card deck from within his pockets. Feel free to laugh at his misery, or try to encourage him, or maybe just follow him into his own carriage - sullen though he is - and start talking from there. ]


B. Banishment
[ Oh Schmendrick is VERY excited to be asked to perform a ritual, any new spell at all! To be given instructions for how to accomplish this! He doesn't waste a moment, taking the material components back to his modest living accommodations for new arrivals.

As familiar as Schmendrick is with animals from being around them in Mommy Fortuna's show, baby animals and large numbers of babies weren't exactly her forte. He's not bothered by the company for now, as he gathers up some food and rushes the kits into his bedroom and closes the door. He'll deal with them later. Or fall asleep regardless. Finally, he makes his way out to the streets and adopts the barker's loud voice again. ]

Ladies! Gentlemen! How would you like to assist ridding this city of a few Frost Fairies - nay BANISHING them for another year's time? It won't take much of your time at all! Just a few moments, a dance with a magician, and you'll be on your way!

[ If he gets a stranger to agree, or if they trade rituals and he goes to their place first, he knows exactly how to answer the first fairy that demands to know what kind of duel they should have. He may be without his magic - again - but that hasn't stopped him before. ]

C. Cleansing Yoga
[ Someone shouts that this is their second time getting stuck like this, just do a few yoga poses to be released from the spell. ]

Oh... oh this isn't good...

[ Schmendrick is as woeful as that time the tree caught him 'tween her tits. ]

I don't know what Yoga is!

[ He fully expects a spell to be as tightly bound as those ropes in order to get out of the curse, so he's looking to his 'trapped' neighbors for advice. He might even try mimicking what you're doing... even if you're not doing yoga. ]


D. Dragons
[ Schmendrick scratches his head. ]

Using flowers to communicate? That really does sound like a book written by a rabbit.

[ He got rabbits on the brain again, and who can blame him? ]

[ Ahem! ] In any event, I would much rather approach a dragon on friendly terms than any other, so if you say we can use flowers to do it, I am willing to try! I have only one question... [ He gets a quizzical arch to his brow and a finger at his chin in thought. ] How are we supposed to gather flowers if they say that the baby dragons are protecting all of them now?

i. Soaking in Your Arrival

Spoilers for Fire Emblem Echoes: Act V in this section

[One moment Rinea is seconds from death, and the next she's nearly drowning. The shock of it could kill a lesser person; Rinea herself would have certainly died there under the waves had the Lady and the manatees not come to her aid. Even as the friendly creatures buoy her along she doesn't speak, too overcome with the suddenness of it all.

What happened? What had happened, in those last few moments at the altar? Surely she had not sinned so deeply so as to deserve damnation. Surely this was all a mistake and she would wake up at any moment to the familiar Rigelian dawn. Surely her Lord Berkut was not that raging fire of a man. Surely he would not fall so far as to.... As to do something like...

Crouched on the shoreline in a rumpled court gown, covered in sand, soaked to the bone, and utterly bereft, all Rinea can do is sob.]

ii. Caravan

[Having gotten all her tears out and calmed down, Rinea eventually made her way to Rent-a-Ride. Horses and carriages are a more familiar sight, but some of the accommodations... decidedly not.

Once seated she holds the phone flat in both palms, tilting it back and forth. Occasionally the screen lights up with a notification or another, to which she jumps and peers at closely.... but she still can't get a handle on how it works. Books don't work like this back home!

Eventually, Rinea looks hopefully up at her carriage companion.]

Pardon me, good stranger. The man from earlier mentioned that... this device can produce music?

[Everything else can wait. just... please............ the good ear noise.... she wants it]

iii. Language of Flowers

[Dragons are terrifying creatures back home, but the ones that have come to town seem sweet enough. Crouched in a still-unclaimed flower patch and unmindful of the dirt, Rinea is busy weaving bluebells into a crown as the townspeople asked. She seems quite content! Her familiar, a large and rather frightening armored fiend, is some distance away gathering more chamomile as instructed.

Unfortunately for Rinea, a baby dragon looking to claim territory of its own has just spotted the area. Swooping down on tiny wings it clambers up her back (she shrieks and drops the crown, her familiar immediately standing to attention)... and it chews off one of the flower accessories Rinea always wears on the side of her head, flying off to a nearby flowering tree to claim its prize.]

Oh...! [Bewildered at first, Rinea puts one hand up to her now exposed ear, then jumps up, scattering bluebells into the grass.] Please! Not that one. It's important...

Nearby, Chris likewise lies on her back in the sand, gulping down air. Her knight captain's armour was heavy and finding herself being plunged into deep water, she would have drowned were it not for the intervention of the Lady, and especially a helpful manatee Chris had clung to that brought her to shore. Waterlogged, and utterly confused, it is the sound of Rinea's sobbing that brings her back to her senses. This is no time to be lying about.

Clambering to her feet and trying to shake out water from between the gaps of her suit, Chris makes her way to the crying woman. She kneels down by Rinea to offer what comfort she can.

"My lady, you are not alone. Can I be of any assistance?""

[Well, this had been it, then. The return to normality should begin soon as the timeline adjusted itself.

Except this certainly wasn't it.

Maybe this was some sort of personal hell that he'd been plunged into (figuratively and literally), a fantasy world that he quickly recognized as reminding him of tales of King Arthur from the names being spoken.

Then he was handed a phone and earphones and he was back to thinking this was just a farce, or maybe they were actually stuck in a never-ending illusion as technology crashed with the fantastical. Whatever it was, at least it had been nice enough to give Akechi items from back home including his model gun and segregated sword, and a strange creature next to him, seemingly replacing Hereward who had gone quiet in his head.

One could spot him on his phone in the carriage, trying to absorb as much information as he could, or perhaps the first meeting would be an AOL post;]

Yusuke isn't far behind, having first found his own belongings and the katana he now carries with him. He barely spares a glance to the other passenger until he's comfortably seated...

1. ARRIVAL

[Of all the things Claude expected to happen today, being dropped right out of the sky and into a body of water was not one of them. He's silently cursing all the heavy clothing he's wearing that weighs him down, but fortunately he's a strong enough swimmer that he's able to kick up toward the surface -- along with a little help from one of the friendly chia manatees, which pushes him along with its snout as he splutters and regains his breath.

Once he reaches the shore, he thanks the manatee with a pat on the neck, before it returns to the depths to rejoin the Lady of the Lake. While he's trying to dry himself off after getting drenched, he soon notices a second animal flitting toward him -- this time a hatchling-sized wyvern. While it looks like his faithful steed from home, it's much too small to be the same.]

Well, aren't you just the cutest little thing-- Ouch!

[He reaches to pet the wyvern, but it gently bites his fingers and tries to tug him in the direction of the cliffs.]

Okay, okay, if you wanted me to go that way, you could've said so.

[He'll head up the cliffs to join the caravan, and later, after reclaiming both his bow and sword, he can be seen sitting in one of the carriages looking extremely puzzled as he figures out his phone.]

2. RED SPRINGS

[Curious to see if the mystical healing properties of the spring were really true, and to get a little relaxation time in, Claude doesn't waste much time in visiting the springs for himself after they arrive. He sinks into the water with a contented sigh, his wyvern familiar curled up on a rock beside him.

He's the only one there for a time, but when he notices someone looking to join them, he'll wave them over, regardless of gender.]

Coming in? Don't be shy. The water's great, and there's plenty of room for both of us.

3. TRAINING GROUNDS

[Claude's not the most magically-inclined of the Leicester Alliance, preferring his trusty bow above all else, so he's a little perplexed that now of all times, he's finally being forced to study magic in earnest.

He's not sure where to begin, not least because he's having a hard time with his sales pitch for finding a training partner. He'll sidle up to someone who might look particularly brave (or maybe just very trusting), trying for his best charming smile, and:]

You wouldn't happen to be willing to help me practice some curses and hexes, would you? I promise it'll be painless. And totally reversible!

[ What would be the point of being in a hot spring resort if one doesn’t go take a dip in the hot spring itself? It would be a waste not to, as far as Blaze is concerned, and the Twelve know the whole situation has even got her a bit stressed.

It’s a bit of a surprise to find the place mostly empty, save for one man who’s quick to wave her over. He seems a friendly sort, at least, and Blaze wouldn’t mind a bit of conversation, so she pads on over, slipping into the pool one foot at a time and settling down to a sit. Like Claude, she’s not alone, her familiar - a small red and gold frog - hopping off the top of her head to settle on the rock behind her. ]

Oh, this is heavenly.

[ Okay, as far as arriving in different worlds goes? Ann would rank this an absolute zero. At least when she'd first gotten pulled into the Metaverse she hadn't been dunked into a lake. She made it to shore without too much fuss (and with a little help from a manatee), but once she's out of the water, there is...a lot to process, so say the least.

Where is this? She's never been anywhere quite like it before, and yet it doesn't feel like she's in any kind of distorted reality. She's still in her regular (now soaked) clothes, and though she doesn't have her phone on her to check for the Nav, she also can't feel her Persona's presence at all. That might be what unsettles her most of all.

Ann gives the beach a cursory glance, searching for any familiar faces among the other people struggling out of the water, before something bumps her against the back of her knees. The manatee who helped her out of the water has taken a liking to her, it would seem. ]

Huh? Oh, um...thanks for helping me back there! Guess you're not a Shadow, are you?

[ It definitely isn't a talkative one if so, and she doesn't have the right kind of magic to speak to it. Nevertheless, her gratitude seems to come through alright, because the manatee, nudges her again, but more forcefully this time, knocking her flat on her behind. ]

Hey! Come on, cut it out! This really isn't a great time for snuggles!

[ Apparently, the manatee disagrees. ]

a. smoothie criminal

[ Flash yoga parties are something she can actually get behind, even if they're a little bit inconvenient when they crop up without much of a warning. What she enjoys even more, however, is a plethora of smoothie carts that have popped up all over. They're sweet and healthy, which means she can indulge relatively guilt-free, so she's quick to make a stop at one and pick up a butterfly-pea lemon tea-flavored one. It's supposed to bring calmness which, given this most recent unexpected turn her life has taken, sounds particularly nice.

With her smoothie in hand and a shop in mind to visit, Ann starts down the sidewalk and takes a sip. It's good! Like, really good. Sweet but with a floral undertone that keeps it from being too overwhelming. She's starting to feel calmer already...

So calm, in fact, that she falls asleep right where she is, standing in the middle of the sidewalk, her smoothie still in hand.

You might want to wake her up before she drops that... ]

c. skipping along

[ Big hopscotch with magic is pretty fun, but you know what's even better?

Falling into a big hole in the ground that's full of marshmallow fluff. Normally she'd be annoyed because she definitely wasn't told about the holes before she started playing, so as soon as one opened beneath her feet, she fell in. But now that she's down here and surrounded by a sweet substance...

Well, she'll get back to the game in juuuuust a minute. She has to try each of the flavors, you know?

Whenever the next hapless victim falls in, she's still down there, working her way through a glob of yellow marshmallow that sits on her finger. ]

Before you go back up, you should really try this kind! Who knew lemon marshmallow would be so good?

[ Yuzu was doing... alright at magic-combat-hopscotch. At least, about as well as you can do when you have healing magic, so the only spells she can sling at people are ones that help them. Of course, she also wasn't expecting the floor under her feet to suddenly vanish.

So, with a loud yelp, she falls into the Marshmallow Pit near where Ann is, so she can get the recommendation. ]

Really? [ She hadn't really considered eating the Marshmallows yet, but since she was here, she grabs a bite out of the yellow marshmallow that was recommended to her.

Her face lights up. ]

Mm...! Oh, wow, this is good!

[The Caravan to Camelot]

Yang is, for lack of a better word, annoyed.

It of course had more to do with the fact that the impromptu splash in a lake had ruined her hair. Like, that was bad, but it paled to being separated from her sister and her team at what was most certainly the worse time possible.

But the worst part? She couldn't do anything about it. She had to sit through all all of this, confused and angry, trying to find out as much info as she could. The best she could figure, this was all an unpleasant distraction that she had to tolerate for now, but Yang Xiao Long had never been patient with distractions.

This wasn't a situation she could solve by getting angry, or throwing a punch. So instead, she's sitting silently on her side of the carriage, typing furiously at her scrollsmartphone, trying to get as many answers as she can.

Say hello to her? If you can get past that aura of aggravation, why not. At least the tiny bear familiar sitting next to her is cute enough.

[Banishing Frost Fairies, or... Beware the Bun]

A while later on, Yang has an idea what's all going on, and she's understandably less angry about all of it. Frustrated, yes, and lonely because she knows nothing about the status of her team, but not as angry. As such, she's willing to help out, and first on the agenda is helping banish frost fairies.

At first it seems easy. Just set the trap, get someone's help, and challenge them to a duel right? Yang knows how to set traps, both from her huntress training and growing up on a heavily wooded island, so she takes to that part just as easily. Except...

... She hadn't been prepared for the bunnies.

And that's how Yang Xiao Long, huntress, slayer of grimm, and all around hilarious punster ended up with a mass of rabbit kits crawling all over her. So much they'd knocked her to the ground, cuddling her with their nefarious button noses and cute little peats.

A few feet away sat Yang's familiar. She called out to him: "Xióng! Help me out here, would you?!"

The bear cub simply licked his paws, and stared at the scene before him.

[Questing with Dragons]

It went against her tough girl image, but somehow, Yang had managed to win a baby dragon's favor with her flower crown and get it to come with her. It actually made Yang feel good; she could solve a problem without fighting, and not destroy the invasive creature for once. They were a lot cuter than Grimm, too.

But in the end, she had spoke too soon. She hoped their path would be smooth sailing, but in the end, they'd run afoul of one of those Land of Rot creatures; namely, that flaming lion beast. Yang smirked as she got into a fighting stance, just as her dragon partner did alongside her. Xióng... found himself hiding behind a tree, so Yang simply sighed and focused on their traveling companions.

"Stay ready!" she said, arming her weapons as the beast approached. "This thing looks a bit hot to handle!"

Questing with Dragons

[ You know, Yuzu was hoping to not encounter any dangerous Land of Rot creatures. Well, maybe that was a little bit too hopeful. In any case, Yuzu has a large amount of baby dragons almost smothering her (she may have accidentally used too many flowers that mean 'love' for them), but they allow her to focus when things get dangerous. They're not exactly the best in fighting, especially a beast such as this, so they stick to just hanging/perching on Yuzu while growling.

Her familiar, a mini version of Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon, is the one who's going to be protecting Yuzu the most. Yang's familiar may be hiding behind a tree, but at least you have another small dragon fighting with you, right? ]

O-Okay! I-I can provide some support!

[ By now she's gotten a better hang on how she can use healing magic, so she extends a hand toward Yang, and she'll feel a temporary boost in physical strength. You probably shouldn't expect any fighting from Yuzu, as she'll be trying to stay further back. You will still have her familiar helping out, though. ]

How fascinating...

[Meiniang doesn't mind at all that she's talking to herself, a gentle incline of her head making a soft melodious sound as the ornaments in her hair clink together.
But her attention is entirely caught in the little rectangle she's holding in her hands, smaller than the thin-leafed books in the Emperor's library but yet with a polished surface more reflective than the bronze mirrors. The golden dragon draped around her shoulders moves to reach forward and place one small five-clawed foot onto the rounded corner.

She still isn't entirely sure what she feels about this dragon that is apparently to be her familiar but for the moment she allows it to stay. It is, after all, not the dragon's fault that her presence is supposed to be inauspicious. With that, she turns to the person beside her and watches what they're doing with the phone in their hand and mimics it.

Hopefully you aren't pulling up some kind of weird search because guess who is also doing the same thing?]

[Assembling the miniature moon garden had seemed easy enough. It's just sticking flowers together and she didn't even have to paint them at the end of it.

What isn't easy though is saying no to the moon rabbit kits that have come to play.

Under an entire pile of rabbits is a hand waving frantically for help.]

[A - Soaking in Your Arrival]

Huh. That's sure not the ship she was just on, witnessing one of the most horrifying sights of her life. In fact, she's not on a ship at all. Or... anything. Yep, she's sure falling, and fast, and towards a body of water. Immediately, it also looks nothing like the snowy landscapes around Atlas. Instinctively, she tries to whip herself around and propel herself of a direction of her choosing, but quickly finds her Semblance not firing off at all, something she can't say she's exactly used to experiencing.

So instead, she manages to just tangle her limbs up in the air and then hit the water like a rock. Mercifully, she's able to de-tangle herself so she doesn't drown, though she sucks in way too much water. She manages to get to the shore, sputtering up water and shaking her head vigorously, slumping to her knees.

"Wh- what the heck..." She blinks, and looks up at the sky. No Grimm, no ships. This... sure didn't seem like where she just was. As if it wasn't complicated enough to start with. "Oh, boy. Yang and the others--" Her eyes widen and she bolts upright. "Yang! Weiss! Blake! Everyone! Where..."

She squints, realizing there's something looming near her.

"...are..."

Ruby spins on her heel, and sees a Beowolf Grimm of somewhat smaller stature just. Staring at her. It grunts and she gives a shout of surprise, reaching for her weapon-- and finds its not there. And yet, its also... not? Attacking her?

To say she's starting off even MORE confused is an understatement.

[OOC: The creature is, as one might imagine, what Ruby is liable to be stuck with as her familiar. Tentative! But probable.]

[C - The Red Spring]

By the time they're somewhere to rest, Ruby's ... somewhat starting to cope with the details of what's happened. At least she's not the only one in the same boat. The Beowolf is still super freaky, though. THAT is gonna take some getting used to.

Still, it's not like she's calm or happy about it, either. Even if it's not her fault, she feels a lot of responsibility for just... being gone! Poof! She's supposed to be the leader, supposedly, right? It's impossible to not worry about those left behind, or not knowing how or when she's going to make it back.

So instead of resting, eating, or relaxing, she's out at the training grounds. While she doesn't want to use any ammunition on Crescent Rose - that's limited and at a premium right now - she does need to get her bearings and just what she can or can't do. Not being able to summon her aura or semblance is... a little unnerving, and if she's going to be going about things here, she knows she needs to know what she can do. If not for her sake, then those around her, because after everything she's been through, Ruby REALLY isn't interested in slacking, no matter where she is.

That initial fall REALLY hurt her pride, too.

Yang is uneasy too, and when she's uneasy... well, she has her methods of coping and venting. Feeling out her new abilities is a concern, but she's not looking for that especially so much as she's looking to blow off some steam.

At first, she's aggravated to see someone on the training grounds before her. She doesn't want anyone to see her squirm. But then... then she recognizes that familiar flash of red, along with the weapon, and her eyes widen.

Then, for perhaps the first time that day, her face takes on a smile.

"Ruby!" she exclaimed, running towards her. "That's you, right?! Please tell me I'm not seeing things!"
