Regardless of what you were in the middle of, you and your familiar have been magically pulled into the world of Avalon just above the Bay's slightly chilled waters. After a brief plunge into the Bay, the rush of water filling your ears and soaking up into every creak and crevice of your body, you may need to cough to clear your airways when you rise above the surface. It's still chilly, but not enough that you can't manage on your own. The Lady of the Lake is swimming around under the water, but seems to be focusing on coordinating a band of chia manatees to help rescue any wayward new arrivals. Chia manatees are a special Avalonian manatee that is green in color and has what appears to be a patches of grass or other short plantlife growing on its back. While some are fully green, others sport small flower blossoms that haven't yet grown in or various types of mushrooms. If anyone tries to ask the Lady of the Lake for directions, she will direct you to Archimedes at the Rent-a-Ride. Those with animal magic may get their info from the manatees, though may notice that they're really overly friendly and have zero concept of personal boundaries. Everyone may notice they have no concept of personal space, as they will happily run right into someone's belly for a snoot squishing. The shores themselves are littered with new arrivals complaining their way up a staircase carved into the walls of the White Cliffs. There is no railing, so be careful, but if you do fall, be prepared for a mysterious sand hand to reach out of the side of the cliffs to catch you. The hand will pat you atop the head twice before retreating back into the wall. This is the Cliff Beast; despite the name, he is quite friendly. *Reminder: Your character's familiar may or may not be with your character in their initial plunge. If the familiar isn't partial to water, it may meet your character on the beach or sit atop their head while they swim. Or if they are, they might splash about and swim alongside your character. Familiars have different personalities and body specs and we leave those up to the players. B ⦿ The Caravan to Camelot Once everyone is wrangled up to the top of the White Cliffs, the handsome owner of the Rent-a-Ride, Archimedes, will distribute smart phones and a pair of earbuds and tell them to "Check the Shit Box." The "Shit Box" refers to wardrobe more formally known as the Wardrobe of Finding, a hammerspace-like wardrobe that opens to each person's items and pets when the person touches the handle. It was recently enchanted by Merlin to prevent people from having to fish their waterlogged possessions and pets out of the water with them. From there, Archimedes directs everyone to settle in groups into modernized carriages pulled by horses and gives them a basic explanation of why and how they've been brought to Avalon: The rest of the universe is frozen in time and your character has been brought here by a familiar that was able to bond with them. They'll have to learn magic to help save their own world from destruction, but first they've got to get them to Camelot. It is here that you have the first opportunity to decide who they will be in their new home. You'll have about an hour to wander around here, meet and greet, and pet the horses before it's time to go. These carriages use fae technology that combats weight, so your character will be able to get in regardless of whether they're light as a feather or weigh two tons. The carts have air conditioning when it's hot, heating when it's cold, and a mystical shield to protect from bugs. There is also a mini-bar that pops out of the console with nip bottles. Characters can use their smartphones to connect to Camelot's internet service, avalononline (AOL), to chat with other characters, watch dumb videos, learn about the world, contact Camelot Support (they'll answer any questions they can for you, from how to use a smart phone to where to find quests and resources to learn more about your magic). Be careful if you decide to use your phones while in the caravan-- if you don't use those earbuds and start forcing everyone to listen to your nonsense, Archimedes may make you walk. C ⦿ The Red Spring The journey from the White Cliffs to the City of Camelot is a long one, and the first evening you arrive you'll end up spending at the Red Spring, a booming resort town. Because of the volume of new arrivals and vacationers, inn rooms are assigned two-to-a-room. The rooms have two twin beds, a bathroom, a mini-fridge and microwave, and a TV equipped with a couple of entertaining video games and a few free movies. If you don't want to relax in the room, try taking a dip in the spring for another chance to meet your fellow travelers. The waters have restorative properties that help horses and travelers recover quickly when drunk. It is known to relieve stress, improve energy levels, and mildly accelerate healing. It may be a little chilly when you get out though, so make sure you don't slip rushing back indoors when you get out! The springs are also home to a large training grounds just outside town limits, where there are teachers who will teach basic magic safety and help you discover what kind of magic you have together with other new arrivals. Try target practice, obstacle courses, meditation circles, and other ways to try to figure out just what you can do... if you didn't already have an accidental discovery on the ride there. The Isle of Avalon is abuzz with excitement for the upcoming Spring Equinox (though some of the more posh citizens will insist it's the Vernal Equinox, tut tut). Unlike the very specific rituals of the Winter Solstice that require much preparation, the Spring is welcomed throughout the month through a variety of small rituals to help the world along as it renews itself, growing new plants and allowing nature to make new life. A ⦿ The Lesser Banishing of Frost Fairies Throughout February, the Frost Fairies were running amok and keeping things chilly, even awarding those who gave them treats last month. These fairies create ice crystals on contact and can be spotted by the beautiful ice crystal patterns that form in their trail. They cause frost bite if you physically touch them, so capture isn't recommended. They seem to be sticking around a little too long this month, as they're normally supposed to leave at the end of February. No one seems alarmed, as it seems that this happens from time to time. It's easy enough to deal with-- and so, people throughout town are being asked to perform a ritual called the Lesser Banishing of Frost Fairies. It's perfectly safe, and lets these invisible little creatures be sent on their way until the next winter. The first step: create bait. Fill a planter with dusty miller and silver sage, with a night-blooming flower at the center. The silvery-white leaves pique the curiosity of the Frost Fairies because they look snowy, yet when they see the flower bloom, they know it cannot be. The plants won't be damaged at all in the ritual, so you'll get a moon garden out of it, which can be incidentally draw adorable little moon rabbit kits in to play inside your home while the moon is out. They're friendly, though they do tend to enjoy pack-sized snuggles-- you may find yourself stuck with no fewer than 15 rabbits attempting to climb on you for attention and need someone's help to pull them off. You may need to get them under control before you continue with the ritual. Once you've assembled your miniature moon garden, you'll need to find a stranger to perform the ritual. You need to bring a new energy into your home in order to let the Frost Fairies know that it's time to meet something new. Take hands with the new person and dance in circles around the miniature moon garden. The plants will start to glow and the Frost Fairies will become visible-- short, fat, all-white penguin with flamingo-length legs and icicle crowns. They will immediately challenge you and your summoning partner to a duel! Though, you can pick what kind of challenge it is as their culture dictates. They're pretty overconfident, just remember not to pick something that involves touching them unless you want to end up needing a healer. B ⦿ The Language of Flowers Once the Frost Fairies are properly banished, flowers are starting to crop up all around Camelot, the Broceliande, the fields in between, and those who come back to the White Cliffs after arrival will even find the Cliff Beast in a pleasant mood from all the lovely little flowers hanging off of his clifftop. (No one's quite sure how a cliff seems happy, but that's the sense everyone gets.) Wherever you may be, there are flowers starting to crop up. Normally, this would be when people would start gathering decorations to cover the buildings and make flower altars, but a lot of the wild flowers normally accessible... well... It looks like a brood of dragons hatched a little early and, upon seeing all the flowers start to crop up, decided that these flowers are the treasures that they want to hoard. The baby dragons didn't fly too far down from their mountain, but once one of them flew past the Lands of Rot and found the fields of flowers, it got its siblings. Now there are a handful of baby dragons claiming different areas as their hoard and making it impossible to get around without being attacked by an admittedly cute fire-breathing menace. No one wants the baby dragons slain, but the baby dragons need to be brought back to their mother's cave in the Ash Mountains. The safest way is through the half-dead area between the Dusklight Woods and the Lands of Rot. The dragons will attack anyone who comes into their area but seem to be friendly toward anyone wearing a flower crown, as they seem to accept them as a part of their hoard if the flowers send the right message. Use the language of flowers to communicate with the dragons and try to get them to follow you by wearing a flower crown that matches one you offer to the dragon. A flower crown that says sympathy and sadness might not be as effective as something that says virtue and bravery. Just be careful not to woo them the wrong impression with something that says eternal love and devotion, or you might have a different kind of dragon problem... Regardless, since the dragons are guarding the flowers you need to make the crowns out of, you'll need to find a way to get past their attacks to gather flowers to begin with to find the flowers you want to make your crown with. Flower crowns need at least two types of flowers to communicate with the dragons, so it's recommended you work together with others to try to gather as many flowers as you can to find the flowers you need. Thankfully, since dragons are sacred, most of the Dusklight Woods creatures will leave you alone, so it's best to hug that side of the mixed path. You and whoever you're working with only have to worry about fighting alongside the baby dragons to fight off the Land of Rot creatures that hang around the edge: Skeleton warriors that can only be scattered but not killed, Fogueria (a lion made of fire that likes to play with its food in sadistic ways), and rattlesnakes. Once you're at the foot of the Ash Mountains, the baby dragons will fly back up to their cave on their own. With the baby dragons returned to their nest, you can head home, and the townsfolk can start decorating for the Spring Equinox. C ⦿ Spiritual Cleansing The frost is gone, the flowers are free, and rabbits are running around town like they own the place. All of the physical and symbolic spring equinox preparations are made, now it's time to look within. As the season of renewal and rebirth, a huge part of that is personal reflection and growth. As such, outdoor meditation and yoga flash parties are all the rage right now. Get caught it one and you and anyone around you will be stuck in a barrier until you complete at least 5 yoga poses and hold them for 30 seconds each. Some of them are a little challenging.. thankfully, no one is going to stop you from getting help holding them from someone else who's stuck with you. A plague of smoothie hockers has also cropped up around town, which means portable carts offering different magical smoothies is going around selling their fruity and flowery spring flavors for a refreshing boost of your spirit. No, really boost it. The magical effects are in small text underneath the flavors, so they may be easy to miss. Hibiscus-Berry: Vanity Spirit (person may become temporarily obsessed with appearance, finding cute clothes, getting their hair and nails done, needing to be their ideal of attractive) Strawberry-Rose: Romantic Spirit (flirtiness, desire to be romantic with someone) Jasmine-Peach: Friendship Spirit (go out of your way to make new friends, make grand friendship gestures to people you've already befriended or have known for five minutes and want to befriend) Lavender-Mulberry: Distrusting Spirit (paranoid, may start fights because they think someone is out to get them) Butterfly Pea-Lemon Tea: Meditative Spirit (fall asleep easily, peaceful/relaxed about alarming things, sudden penchant for Big Thoughts about the universe) Dandelion-Apple-Banana: Surivival Spirit (sudden desire to do everything yourself, whether that's hunting/gathering food, getting really into DIY projects like making your own soap or building your own chicken hutch because you're going to get your own eggs, or really wanting to live outside for a while) The effects only last for an hour or two, so it's unlikely any real damage can be done (hopefully) but it'll certainly give you a new outlook on life! Spring is in the air, the Equinox is coming, and prep is underway. But all work and no play can get a little boring, right? Avalonians have come together and set up a few activities for Adventurers. While all of these activities can be completed and enjoyed without using magic, participants will be encouraged do to so, don’t worry if it goes a little haywire. There are magical force fields around the play zones to contain any mishaps. A ⦿ Keep it Rollin' Rollin' The first area set up for fun and games is a barrel rolling contest. Participants are split into pairs to compete against each other to see who can roll their partner inside the barrel down the hill and across the finish line the fastest. Springtime is when geysers start bursting around the bottom of the hill though, so you'll have to watch out for those and any boulders to make sure your barrel doesn't burst before you reach the bottom! To make things a little more interesting, the planners had a bit of mischief with the barrels... As barrels reach a quarter of a way down the hill, the outside will burst into flames. Surprise! While they are enchanted so that the flames aren't actually hot, participants are not aware of this. Sorry, the guys running this game aren’t that big on explaining; after all, it’s just rolling a fire barrel down the hill; what’s so complicated? Fire makes it look like it's going faster and is way more exciting to watch! B ⦿ Hop Skip and a Jump Everyone loves hopscotch, right? Well, whether you do or don’t, that next zone is all about the hop, the skip, and the jump. Two hopscotch boards about the size of a basketball court each are laid out side by side for participants. The object again, to see who can complete the task that fastest. If you reach a spot with a magic symbol, you have to cast a spell at your opponent or you can't proceed. This is combat hopscotch! Of course, once more, the folks running the show forgot to mention one tiny thing, a quarter of the way into the board, random spots will drop away as you go, leaving holes in the ground! Yikes, better take that leap! Don’t worry, if you miss, the bottom of the hole is filled with marshmallow fluff in bright pink, yellow, and pastel purple. (Kind of reminds you of something, huh...?) Down in the hole are rungs and footholds to get yourself back out, but boy, will that put you behind the other guy if they didn’t fall. Well, guess victory will have to be a little sweeter than you planned! C ⦿ Gettin' Brewy With It Now, this activity probably seems a little safer. Welcome to the “Brew” tent. Participants will be given ingredients, space, and set up in pairs to brew up a tasty drink! A variety of ingredients are available and with it, participants will be taught the Recipe: Brewery. This spell can be used to accelerate brewing and distilling processes for alcoholic drinks. Of course, if someone who is too young to drink according to their world's rules, any alcohol in the drink will evaporate, so it's really only a spell that's useful for adults... but everyone can participate in making drinks. You can pick any ingredients you want, but all participants are instructed that a sprinkle of that magic at just the right time will make it perfect. When asked what the right time is, all they will be told is they’ll know when. Some may get it right, depending on instinct. Others might sprinkle too much and cause the drink to burst all over them and their partner, and their workstation or have some other silly side effect, like make them hiccup uncontrollably or catch a case of the giggles. Or maybe they cast for too long or too short a time and the drink turns sour, turns to ash, grows wings on the cup, and flies away. Brewery magic can be fickle, so there's lots that can go wrong.. but get it right, and you can have one heck of a drink to enjoy! [Today had not gone at all the way she'd planned. Instead of a fun (?) time running away from Black Phantom, she had instead found herself unceremoniously dropped into a lake. Even the rush of water hadn't blocked out the way the world had gone completely quiet, her psychometry lost. Had she been kidnapped? Was this some kind of psychic attack? Was there an ECM in the area, nullifying her powers?

She's thankful at least that she can swim even without any powers and that there are really cute manatees here to help rescue her. You'd think that would be the weirdest thing to happen to her.

But with a scream of "NO" a girl is running at you, desperate to get away from the small, friendly cat creature with two tails. It's even wearing a little purple kimono, trying to be helpful and to just get to its master who will grab onto your arm, pivoting to put distance between her and what she's sure is a ghost. Yes, you are indeed being used as a meat shield now.]

B: frost fairie duel
[Back home, Shiho would never have willingly held hands with someone, even if they were a stranger that she could presumably pretend not to care about. No one needs to know that though, or that she's awkward about holding hands, never holding on tightly, always ready to let go at a moment's notice.

Which she does as soon as the Frost Fairies materialize, lit from below by the glowing plants. Somehow when she heard "fairies" she expected something ethereal. Something elegant. Any kind of respect she'd tried to have for the troublesome fairies vanishes as she tries her best not to laugh, especially as they start trying to challenge them to a duel. A duel? Could they even stand if she pushed them over?!]

Wait, really? Is that really what they look like? Aren't they supposed to be small and blue and dance to classical music?

[Thankfully the fairies seem very confident, ignoring the girl as they issue their challenge, it can be anything!]

A. Awakening to a new Awareness
[ Last Shinsou knew, he was leaving the arena in defeat, but under his own power. Maybe that slam to the ground did more than he realized at first? That's all he's imagining so far as he makes his way to the surface and the beach. With so much on his mind, he looks a bit lethargic to unobservant strangers. He's not though; he's being deliberate, assessing his situation.

After deciding this is some weird dream, he follows everyone else up to meet Archimedes, receiving the smart phone and pair of earbuds. Narrowing his eyes suspiciously at such a lavish gift - never mind so many of them to complete strangers - Shinsou tries to invoke his Quirk on Archimedes. ]

Hey, thanks for these, but... these aren't stolen, are they?

[ It definitely provokes a reaction, just not the kind that Shinsou was expecting. A curt 'no' is still more than he should've gotten if his Quirk had worked. ]

'What gives? In less than a day, I meet two people who can defeat my Quirk? Or are my dreams mocking me now, while I'm passed out in Recovery Girl's care?'

[ He moves away from the group - before Archimedes starts to give his speech - and starts to click around the smartphone curiously, looking for answers. ]


B. Brain Exercises
[ Meet another wallflower. In the interest of learning more about this place, Shinsou wanders around at various points, and ends up encountering all of the Equinox adventures and the play zones. He's watching with great interest, trying to analyze the various magical effects that he's seeing people use. ]

'I know they said our old magic - our Quirks are gone but...'

[ Why isn't he as upset as some of the other people he's seen? He feels weird thinking of that, but then he starts to mull it over as he keeps watching. Some of those people are face planting hard. ]

'Like a bunch of late-bloomers using their Quirks for the first time...' He smirks a little, amused. Is that all it is? A little fun at their expense? No, it's more than that. 'I can't use my Quirk anymore but that means... neither can any of these other people either. We're all at the same starting line, like the prelims all over again, but this time nobody can jet ahead on rock-propelled explosions or self-made ice-skating ramps.'

[ His eyes go wider. ]

'We're equals.'

[ That's when his demeanor changes. Going from deeply contemplative, he actually starts to feel a thrill at the possibilities opening up to him. ]

A. Soaking in Your Arrival

[ His immediate thought as he hits the water is that the plane had crashed and landed in the ocean. But as he struggles to find the surface, he also realizes that that doesn't make any sense.

Luckily a green...manatee(?) swims up underneath him and pushes him to the surface, and once he breaks it he gasps for breath and looks around frantically, and he realizes that he doesn't even see the ship. ]

Dr. Gearloose? Huey? B.O.Y.D.?

[ As the manatee...thing deposits him onto shore, he coughs up some remaining water in his lungs before he can push himself up to his feet, and it's only then that he is really able to see where he is...and realize that he has no idea where he is. ]

What...is this place?

[ After a bit of fiddling, Fenton's face appears on the screen and he grins. ]

Fascinating! It really does work like a smartphone back home.

[ And then he realizes that he's...actually streaming a video right now. With a sheepish laugh, he waves at the camera. ]

Uh...greetings! My name's Fenton Crackshell-Cabrera. I'm still working on understanding this place, but I think I've gotten the gist of it. I'll admit, magic isn't really my realm of expertise, but I'm more than eager to learn what I can!

So uh...I'm looking forward to working with everyone. Oh! But if I may take a bit more of your time, I'm wondering. What are your worlds like? Are they more science-based, or deeper involved in magic? Or like this world, some kind of mixture of the two?

[ He seems very impressed with such a tiny bit of magic. But considering he's never done anything like that before, it's definitely considered an accomplishment for him. ]

[ That sure is a swarm of moon rabbits over there. And that sure is a hand trying to rise up from underneath them. ]

[ That sure is someone buried underneath a swarm of moon rabbits. ]

Hmm...well it's not exactly scientific, but I have heard about flowers having specific meanings.

[ What specific flowers mean, though, he's not sure. So he pulls out his phone and starts browsing. ] I wonder if there's a list somewhere.

[ He means well, but he probably should be paying attention to the dragons that are around. ]

F. Gettin' Brewy With It

[ Fenton isn't much of a drinker, but it couldn't hurt to practice a bit of safe magic. Plus, the alcohol seemed optional anyway.

The answer to when the right time to add magic isn't very helpful, though, and Fenton taps his fingers on the table while watching the drink he and his partner are mixing. ]

Arrival

Oh! They were friendly. So was Iroh. He accepted the help, and gave affection to the creatures, and might have even made a few quips about them having the same body shape on their way to land. Once there, he bowed to thank them before wringing out his clothes and hair. He could have used Bending to dry them - or so he thought - but it was just damp clothing, he'd save that for important things. Like tea. Speaking of...

He turned to the nearest person with a warm smile. "I don't suppose you know where an old man could sit and enjoy a nice cup of tea?"


Red Spring

It hadn't taken him long to realize that he couldn't use half the stuff in his room. So once he was changed into clean and dry clothes he went off in search of a cup of tea. Iroh could be found sitting by the water, seeming to be contemplating a soak as he sipped his tea. He was actually contemplating the situation he had found himself in. These people needed help, but so did people back home. He hadn't been able to help his son, he wanted to be able to help his nephew. If time was really frozen back home, so much the better. However time wasn't frozen here, and he wasn't exactly a young man. And he knew how dangerous war could be. If he was going to help, he'd be going all the way. But could he do that, knowing that meant that he'd be abandoning his responsibilities at home and his nephew?

Yes, he had much to think about indeed.

I was considering this TDM, then saw Iroh, and now have to.

Friendly wouldn't even begin to describe her reaction. Nothing here made sense, she had no idea what to do - and there, once again, was that familiar, wise face. A guide in troubled times. The face looked younger, but that didn't matter. So what he would get was a young woman dashing up to him to give him a hug, sodden and all, and not seeming to care at all.

"Iroh! I should have expected to see you here!"

Water.

Until rather recently, Kirishima has always been terrified of deep water. It's not because of what might be hiding within it - though that is pretty creepy - but because up until the last couple of years he's never been that confident about controlling his Quirk, a supernatural ability granted to almost everyone in his world for better or for worse. Tension was what activated his, transforming his skin into rough stone and altering his density accordingly. He'd accidentally cut himself with it in the past - cut other people, smashed fragile things for gripping them in just the wrong way, and bashed through furniture other people stubbed their toes against too.

So when the summer pool and beach parties rolled around, Eijiro stuck to the shallows. He had his fun, all the while cheerfully finding a way to excuse himself from that surfing lesson, that race in the Olympic sized pool,anything where his Quirk betraying him could lead to what he considered to be an ignoble and painful death. Since he'd really started training himself to enter U.A.'s hero program and subsequently spent almost another year training under multiple mentors, activating his Quirk had become an asset to him and those he chose to protect. Finally, Kirishima can be confident in having a choice when it comes to his body ( at least 99% of the time when it comes to his Quirk ) and need fear the water no longer.

But he forgets that during the moment of impact against the surface of the Bay.

The old terror is back in the instant Kirishima feels water enveloping him, filling his unprepared nose and lungs. And with the water, the nightmarish thoughts of the struggle to the surface making parts of his body into stone come flooding back in. He'd become more afraid and distressed by not being able to breathe - it's only natural - and thus more heavy for it, sinking further and further into the abyss, only able to unlock himself from his petrified state when he accepted his lonely demise and breathed the water in.

These thoughts do pass into Kirishima's mind as he sinks into the chilly waters of the Bay and begins to feel his lungs burn. But in that moment of chaos, of adrenaline, there is clarity that the last year of training to fight villains - some of who would mostly like nothing better than to kill him - brings. Eijiro simply decides he's not going to die. Not like this, not with so many people counting on him.

And this works for him, allowing him ease some of the pressure in his lungs by exhaling a bit. He follows the bubbles up, frog-kicking his legs, telling himself all the while he will reach the surface. This is either a dream or some sort of villain's trick to subdue him during the operation to invade their nest. He's got this!

The swim to shore, after a few great gulps of air and a glance around, is single-minded and along the same lines. It's only when he's sitting on the shore that he takes stock of his surroundings. Not for very long, though! Because right away he spots what looks like another person struggling in the Bay - not only that, several dark shapes are approaching them! Crazy what the imagination can conceive of shadows, which is what the slow-moving but large manatees look like from a distance to Kirishima.

And just like that, the fear is wholly doused, crumpling out of the way in favor of the determination to swim out and save this person! Pulling the length of fabric free from his costume, Kirishima jumps back into the water, planning to throw it out to this person and more or less become their one-man tug-boat to shore.

... Hopefully he'll be forgiven if he's mistaken about the aforementioned person needing his help and/or for punching one of those sweet manatees right in the snout.


greater summoning of moon bunnies;

This hotel they've got to accommodate newcomers really must have some good insurance or else some dedicated mages for damages, because they've committed themselves to a bunch of people who've probably never practiced magic in their lives.

Despite coming from a world where the majority of people were predisposed to have supernatural abilities, Kirishima's still in the stage where it boggles his mind watching magic at work. One moment he's trying out gardening in order to help banish this chilly as hell weather and in the next his room seems to explode with white rabbits. Are these the frost fairies? Man, he really should have read ahead in the ritual instructions, huh? Because now they're covered in furry bodies, getting kicked off under his bed by strong hind feet in the pursuit of leaping onto him.

He's already called out for help from his familiar, but the stone liondog sits still and silent even as one of the kits wriggles up between her brows towards her carved and curly man. Considering her lost, Kirishima stumbles out into the hallway, looking like a poorly-made mech of an abominable cowboy with the way he makes award and broad steps with his arms stretched out to his sides as if for drawing twin-shooters. This is his way of not hurting the animals while also not encouraging them to get any more comfortable than they already are.

Now for every rabbit he seems to tug off of him, it seems another takes the opportunity to hop on while he's bent over to set the other down, or else dart back inside of his room.

"Look! There's someone else!" He announces, pointing. Normally Kirishima wouldn't roll another person under the bus, but... The bunnies are awfully cute, he needs help sharing the load, and he doesn't actually think they'll go flooding down the hall towards this person.

But they do.

It takes about five minutes of Kirishima reading over the flower guide before his eyes want to cross. Ugh, they couldn't add any pictures to this list? He's not a total idiot, but he's definitely not a gardener either, and this wall of words is making him feel a bit overwhelmed.

"What d'you think our message ought to be?" He tries a different tack, addressing his partner. "Something about adventure? OH! OR A FEAST!"

Kirishima, this is about enticing the dragons, not you...

For the first time, Kirishima's really getting to see his familiar in action and it... is pretty damn awesome. It's bittersweet, reminding him for a moment of how one of his mentors, All Might, suggested he use his Quirk to just bulldoze through to his opponents if not into them. Watching his komainu turn skeletal warriors into so much powder, as if she were plowing through a snowdrift rather than bone, is really making him miss his original abilities. It looks really fun...

Eijiro, for his own part, has managed to pick up a surviving bone - he thinks it's maybe from the leg? - and now wields it like a club against their attackers.

"On your left!" He alerts his nearby companion, and proceeds to try and bat the skull off his opponent into the same one he pointed out.

"Hey," He addresses who he's been paired with. If they're strangers, he jerks both thumbs to himself, "Not to brag, but I'm pretty strong! Either way you wanna do it, we've got this!"

If he knows the person, obviously this is a great time for a little humor. "You wanna rock-paper-scissors who's goin' in the barrel?"

[ Even though there is absolutely no intent to harm the little furry critters just hopping along, doing what bunnies do... Seeing a shadow of a bird is always going to startle. Ruby is small enough to fit through the hallways. Kirishima better be mindful of his head, because the phoenix is swooping by. In the process it does, in fact, startle a few of the rabbits out of the way.

Now if the redhead bothers to follow the bird, he'll find that he lands on a shoulder. A familiar shoulder that's actually walking away from the scene behind him.

Arrival

She wakes up to the feeling of sand sliding under her back, and water all around her. She sat up, coughing, shaking her head to clear it of the strange fog that came with a sudden awakening. She looked out into the water, right in front of her - and saw the manatee, eyeing her from just a little bit further out. She coughed again, managing a smile.

"Thank you," she said to it, with a nod, "I don't know if you can understand me, but...thank you." The manatee moves off, as she pushes to her feet. She looked down at herself, her blue tunic soaked. She sighed, then tried to bend the water away from the garments, making a few graceful moves, stepping back then forward, extending her arms. Nothing happened.

"Huh," she said, looking around. Ok, bending wasn't working - panic about that later. She then, blessedly, saw the wet bulk of Naga shaking herself off, a shower of water spiraling into the air as the polar bear dog shook herself dry.

"Well, looks like we're in a right mess," she said to Naga, with a sigh. "But we'll figure this out. We've been in worse. We've..." Then she felt the weight on her head, and tilted it back.

Looking right at a small fairy with blue hair, in a blue dress.

"Um."

The Red Spring

By the time she reached the Spring, she was more than ready for a refreshing dip. Behind her, snoozing happily by the warm waters, lay Naga. Snoring, just a little bit. Beside her in the water, floated a little boat she'd made out of twigs and some leaves, with her familiar resting happily in it. She wasn't sure if fairies could drown, but she wasn't taking any chances. Or leaving her out of it.

Thankfully, she'd even found a swimsuit that she could borrow, a blue pair of briefs and a white bandeau. Those who saw her for the first time might well notice what that revealed - the musculature of someone trained, and honed.

And, when she was getting into the springs, clearly someone not at all affected by cold, by her casual attitude towards it.

[ This boy is barely even out of the water before he's calling out for whoever "Sensei" is. There's no response, so he tries again, though this time he cuts himself off. ]

[ His voice hitches and he starts patting himself down, seemingly in some kind of panic. It's gone. It's gone. He looks to the ocean in dread, thinking he lost something very important. He goes up to the nearest person, panic in his voice. ]

Excuse me, have you seen a book!? It's green, and all the pages have scribbles on them.

[ They aren't scribbles to him, but to anyone else.. they should appear that way. He can worry about finding his cat later, he needs to make sure that book is okay. He'll feel a lot better once he finds out about the box up the cliff. ]

B. Language of Flowers
[ Collecting flowers and making flower crowns makes Natsume feel nostalgic. The last time he did this, it was a strange situation... Taki and Kai were there by his side. They were memories he would never forget, and he never wanted to. A soft smile falls on his lips as he weaves the flowers together carefully, not needing lessons on how to do it.

It seems as if he's not really paying attention for a few moments, and it's likely confirmed as he rather suddenly jumps, yells, and scrambles out of the way as a little blast of fire comes from one of the baby dragons. ]

I'm going, I'm going!

[ Well, even if his abilities are gone, he's still got years of practice running away from this and that under his belt. He may need some help though, this dragon seems particularly keen to follow him. At the very least, he can offer flower crown lessons or some of the geraniums he's trying to protect from the dragon behind him. ]

C. Gettin' Brewy With It
[ Natsume's never.. made drinks before. His eyes are a little wide with wonder and he's not quite sure how this works. He's not making anything alcoholic, but he can't help but try it out. If Nyanko-sensei were here and found out he missed out on this, he'd never hear the end of it...

But more than that, maybe if he learned to do this, he could make some kind of soda fountain? Surely, that would be something worth sharing with friends. He didn't.. have any here, yet, but he thinks one day he'd like to share something like that.

A) Carriage ride

[ Well caravans really aren’t that different from here and Teyvat so he supposed that is a bit boring, huh? But that boredom has long since disappeared. The phone, earbuds, and even the carriage itself are all things that mesmerize and enchant the young man now sitting with a curious and thoughtful look on his features. He is idly playing with the phone when he accidentally clicks on a random game?! It is pretty simple, almost like pokemon, but with cute little mythological creatures instead. Albedo gives a surprised but also curious ‘hum’ as he taps a bit more, removing one of his earbuds as he leans over to look at someone else’s device.

He’ll lean over to show you his device before pointing at the screen. ] Have you attempted to capture any of these yet? Are we capable of summoning them from this device? Or are they simply trapped inside it? I would like to see and learn more about these creatures though. It is rather fascinating, isn’t it?

Ah. So the elements are much like visions then. Fire beats ice and so forth. What an intriguing game…

B) Dark treasures;

[ And with the opening of his draw Albedo sees a few items that manage to get a smile from him. One being his sketch pad and accompanying pen with a little case of ink to go along with it. But also…laying there in the said box is festering desire, which gets a raised brow from Albedo as he pulls it from the box. ] How intriguing to find that this has come along with me.

[ Perhaps you’re the stranger that Albedo’s offered into his ‘home’ and he’s now in need of an assist on what sort of duel they should have. He’ll cross an arm over his chest, while the other rests under his chin in a thoughtful pose. His back is turned away from the penguins looking to you for some advice. ]

What’s your specialty? I’m rather good at drawing and alchemy, but perhaps we can combine our strengths together?

Dragon babies;

[ Well Albedo isn’t one to turn away doing something new and exciting, especially if it gets him time with a dragon of all things? Being up close and personal with the little ones will allow him to gather some information on young dragons. Not many are seen in Teyvat so of course he’s going to help out!! His crown is one made of Sage and Tarragon. Once through the thick of it, it’s only at the base of the Ashe Mountains that those skeletons crop up. Albedo is quick to pull out festering desire and he’ll begin his assault on the creatures. ] Be careful. It doesn’t seem like our attacks will keep them down for long!

Smoothies;

[ Of course he’s going to try one…maybe two?? Of these things? He’s never really had a smoothie before but they look pretty tasty so what’s the harm in trying something new?!

Depending on when you run into him Albedo will have the Jasmine-Peach: Friendship Spirit, which the result is…interesting. He’s friendlier than usual and more open to helping those who need it out. ] Do you need something? Maybe I can help. If we are to become friends and acquaintances here, we should always be looking out for one another, hm? [ At least he hasn’t given you a hug yet?? He’s saving that…for later. ]

[ The other potion of choice is the Butterfly Pea-Lemon Tea: Meditative Spirit, which isn’t as awkward as the friendship one but it’s still pretty strange. You can find Albedo asleep, peacefully, beneath a tree in the outer edges of the dusklight woods?? Because he was out and about doing ‘research’ when he decided to take a nap. But why here? Albedo no. Albedo why?! Please wake him up he’s gonna get mauled by a creature or something?! But he sure does look…content despite where he’s decided to nap. ]

[ today was supposed to be simple. wake up, study, head to cram school, come back to the dorm and go right upstairs, study, sleep. easy enough.

today has been wake up, study, open the front door, take one step forward, fall face first into an ice cold lake, get rescued by a manatee, climb lots of stairs up a cliffside, and sort through the Shit Box for personal belongings. suffice it to say things are a bit more difficult than anticipated.

yukari might not know what's going on here yet, but at least she has a phone and, thank god, the internet. or an internet...? either way, it's better than nothing. pocketing the phone and earbuds, she opens the box with a bit more force than necessary, still damp from the impromptu dip. she sighs after a second and grumbles, ] Of course there's no dry clothes.

[ it's fine. yukari has spent countless nights in grimy clothes climbing a huge evil tower to prevent the end of the world. or she had up until a few months ago. she along with her friends and koto--

which is easier said than done, however, and yukari doesn't have much to show for her efforts to collect flowers for a crown other than a handful of flowers and a newfound understanding of how dangerous dragon's fire is. she peeks out from behind a tree and sighs, ] Finally looks like the coast is clear.

Arrival

Akihiko was nothing if not quick to adapt, but even he took a minute to go from dozing in Mitsuru's limousine to falling into a lake. Once the initial shock passed though, he quickly made his way to shore, taking stock of his surroundings. This didn't look like Tartarus or the Midnight Channel, but his hand reflexively rest on his evoker for a moment before he flipped up the hood of his cape, only managing to soak himself once again. However, rather than actually remove the hood he just left it, telling himself this was a test of endurance. Needless to say, his attempts at not drawing attention were... less than well thought out.

The Red Spring/Training Ground

Akihiko was silent for the trip into town, attempting to process everything he'd been told. While world ending threats were oddly nothing new to him, his experience with the Midnight Channel had taught him to be wary of anything and everything that he saw and felt when plunged into a new world. As such, after taking some time to dry off and walk around the resort the caravan had stopped at, he found himself shadowboxing in the training grounds, one thing continually echoing in his head. The idea that the strength he'd trained so hard for and built up over the course of years to protect others was just... gone didn't sit well. He'd tried to summon Ceasar as he had in the Midnight Channel with a thought multiple times but nothing came. So much of what he thought he knew about himself was stripped away and he could feel the frustration and guilt that he'd shouldered for most of his life bubbling up until he turned from where he was shadowboxing and delivered his best straight to a nearby wall, putting some cracks in it.

"At least I still have that going for me..." After a moment, he pulls down his hood, reaching for the silver gun strapped just under one of his arms. "I guess if I can't do it the new way, the only real option left is..." After drawing the 'gun', he looks at it for a moment, takes a deep breath, puts the barrel to his forehead and pulls the trigger and... nothing. That was what really set it in stone for Akihiko. His strength was gone, replaced with something foreign that set him back to square one. For a good five minutes he just stood there, Evoker pressed to his forehead trying to force down the feelings of frustration that kept bubbling up.

Hop, Skip, and a Jump

Akihiko had never been able to turn down a challenge. Something that had been exploited to his chagrin many a time. Even now he couldn't stop himself. He'd never done hopscotch before, but he'd seen other kids do it when he was younger so he figured he had the basic gist. Of course the combat aspect interested him as well. He'd gotten the hang of casting the most basic lightning spells but was still barely able to muster more oomph than a static shock so he figured that would be safe enough in his competition. As he stepped up to the starting line, doing some last minute stretching, he grinned over at his opponent as if they'd been friends forever.

"Good luck out there. Let's give this our all!"

Training Ground

It was getting slightly easier to control her magic. Least she was setting less things on fire by accident. Though she had wanted to also improve her physical skills again. At least some remained intact, but she wanted more. Were it not for her familiar, the flaming lion she faced would have ripped right through her. Hearing of someone strong enough to punch a wall and leave some cracks left some hope. Though once she found the man in the description, her excited smile turned into wide-eyed horror. She knew being torn from their own world could be traumatic to others, but not to this degree!

"Don't do it!" Her body and mouth moved on its own, right at Akihiko's side in just a second, and attempting to harshly smack the gun out of his hand. She had to see her friend die before her eyes once before. Homura wasn't going to allow suicide on her watch either.

...Even if she completely misread the entire situation.

A. Soaking in Your Arrival

[Makoto’s first thought? (Well, besides OH GOD COLD COLD COLD SALTWATER BLECH!) These manatees are way too cute! She can’t stop laughing even as she tries to hold onto one and two more come in to tickle her with whiskery snoots.]

PAHAHA! C-come on, guys, you’re gonna make me fall o-ho-hoff!

[Still… even as she guffaws, something feels off. She doesn’t feel weak… but somehow she knows she can’t swim herself all the way to shore, even though she should. And the chia manatees… well, their plants anyway. Maybe it’s because they’re technically water plants but… she can’t feel anything. Not even the faint affinity she has for them when she’s not transformed.

But… she does feel a pull, like she would towards the girls, or a thunderstorm, and that’s when she looks to the shore. A large green and white bear glows and crackles with electricity, but even then looks out placidly onto the bay and the manatees and the new arrivals they’re ferrying, as if watching for someone. Watching… for her.]

B. The Lesser Banishing of Frost Fairies

[If you’re looking for a partner to help you with your ritual… well, good news is Makoto’s certainly willing… the bad news is she’s currently pinned to the floor by a swarm of very vicious little moonbun kits. Apparently it’s just Mako’s week to get glommed on by random magical animals. (Or the kits sense that this human has lots of prior experience caring for a Tsuki no Usagi of her own.)]

[Okay so far? Helping save the universe here is a lot easier than back home. Making cute flower arrangements to help lure cute magical creatures to wherever they need to be? She could definitely get used to this. And it really helps that she’s not alone in this; not just the host of other people from other worlds, but that Usagi is here too. It helps her feel grounded even with her connection to Jupiter gone… well, at least she’s relearning how to control lightning, and she can still retrain her strength, and she can definitely still care for plants like she used to.]

Oh hey! Think we should use irises if we find any? Those mean “I’ve got a message for you,” so it’d be kind of a “hey, listen up!” you know?

B – The Caravan

[A large man, shirtless and covered in scars, sat at the mini bar, attempting to flip through his given phone. Or at least as best as he could. His large fingers were having some trouble typing on the screen. With a glass in his other hand, just as small as the phone, Beowulf takes a sip; gaze growing darker and more annoyed by the second. With a click of his tongue the sipping soon turns into a gulp before he quickly reaches out to grab a whole bottle.]

Was never good with these things.

B – Fighting off Skeletons

[Now this is what he was talking about! He didn’t like the dragons and never would. The only thing keeping him from ripping the infernal creatures apart is that they aren’t the ones he’s used to. And the locals seem to like them. It infuriated the berserker to no end, but at the very least he now had a means to take out his frustrations. Everything from the general annoyances he’s felt so far to being subject to the presence of those dastardly, reptilian beasts. All of it, now being unleashed on the monsters that blocked their path.

With his two swords by his side, Beowulf cuts a swathe through the attackers. What’s more is that they don’t seem to be able to be killed. But that was more than fine with him, it just meant that he could continue to rampage.]

Ha, they’re not much for a fight, but they make for good punching bags.

C – Brewin’ some drinks

[First a fight, now a drink? Ha! Now he was having the time of his life. Of course, first they had to brew the stuff themselves. But that was also fine and dandy with him. [Kadoc is not a new arrival this month, but he is making an effort to get the lay of the countryside before committing to any particularly dangerous tasks this month that involve traversing it. It's a good idea, anyway, to know what he's in for in this country; the first time he'd made this journey he'd been pretty distracted. Arrival in the icy water was not exactly the best time to make notes on the landscape.

So this month, he's followed the caravan to the bay, practicing his skills in making it all the way there on foot. But like hell he's doing that on the way back too. One way is enough, for now. . . . And he has to admit he's curious to peek in on the new arrivals headed back to Camelot. You never know who might show up, right?

Indeed. Oh, shit.

He might not be recognized, Kadoc knows; this could be a different summoning of Beowulf. You can't tell with Servants! But the possibility is enough to tempt him sincerely to just turn around and walk right back through the door to this car that he just poked into, and pretend this never happened. It doesn't really matter that Beowulf doesn't have access to the full extent of his abilities here. It's fuckin' Beowulf. He could be entirely human and still snap Kadoc in half.

. . . It is what it is. He just has to hope that doesn't happen. It's not like this is the first time he's faced down something potentially terrible.

[This is all a very overwhelming experience for a boy with a relatively normal life. Even his ability to go with the flow is being compromised by the sheer intensity of this particular flow... at least internally. Externally, he follows everyone else and listens attentively.

His mood is not at all helped by the fact that when he went to collect his things from his locker, they included a violin packed safely in a carrying case. While the rest of his things fit easily enough in a bag, a violin case is very conspicuous. He's tempted to just leave it behind, but reluctantly opts to take it with him. He doesn't want to seem rude or ungrateful to people who are just trying to help. And it would be a waste of a perfectly good instrument.

Still, he is sullenly ignoring it on the ride, focusing instead steadfastly on his new phone and browsing the music streaming options with his earbuds in place. He will just politely remove the earbuds if he feels like anyone is giving him their attention.]

ii. PROBLEMS SPRING UP A: The Lesser Banishing of Frost Fairies

[This seemed like an easy enough task at first. Touya has little experience with plants, but the directions are simple. What he didn't expect was the moon rabbits. They're cute! But there are so many moon rabbits! He only has two hands, and he needs to be finding a partner to help him with this anyway!

It can't be helped. He'll just have to try and find a stranger to help him with the ritual while he's still covered in rabbits. It's fine. He will just walk down this unfamiliar street full of unfamiliar people, giving them all a first impression of him helplessly covered in rabbits as he begs for assistance.]

Um... Please help.

[It's hard for a stranger to tell, because Touya is a naturally low-key personality, but he feels pretty flustered right now.]

iii. PROBLEMS SPRING UP C: Spiritual Cleansing

[With the chaos of adjusting to a new world, and with no one he knows around, you don't even have to trick Touya for him to try this friendship-boosting Jasmine-Peach smoothie. He might misunderstand how the magic actually works, but it's fine either way. He is now perfectly happy and even excited to be participating in these meditation and yoga circles. There's so many new people to meet!

Even at his friendliest, Touya isn't particularly talkative, but he is attentive, and if someone is looking a little wobbly in their pose, he'll step in to help adjust their limbs for them, seeing nothing wrong with the casual touching. Because they're new friends, after all!]

[The quiet voice comes from the street in front of Kadoc, which he's not looking at at the time—he's ducked half into an alley to lean up against a wall and check his phone, like a dang typical youth of today. But he looks up anyway, curious to see what this rather non-urgent request for help might be about.

Whatever he expected, though, it wasn't that. Before he even thinks about it too hard, Kadoc's pushing off from the wall and tucking his phone away, following the. The rabbit boy. That's who this guy is, the Rabbit Boy. He is a low key personality himself, but as he makes his way closer, weaving around a few people in the crowd, a slow smile of disbelief spreads across his face.]

Holy shit. What happened? I'll help and all, but this is a first. . . . Let's get out of the way first.

[He nods back over to the alley, which is at least a bit less crowded, and isn't like, the Creepy kind of alley or anything. Especially not in broad daylight.]

Arrival, A ;

Juuzou was well and truly waterlogged from his surprise descent into unknown waters. Generally he was a very adaptable person, but getting soaked to the bone in a cold bay was not the best of ways to wake up. Could he even swim..? Well, that didn't matter. He was already safely on the shoreline and deflated face-down atop one of the kindly manatees that had assisted him to shore. Regardless of whether the resident creature was busy, its passenger seemed unwilling to let go by how firmly one of his arms was wrapped about the poor beast's middle.

"Aah, this is the wooorst..." The new arrival complained, though whether he was whining to himself or the captive manatee was impossible to tell. "I don't have enough clothes to change into anymore, but these feel so gross..." With his hair and clothes deflated and sticking to his skin, damp and chilly as could be, Juuzou opted to sulk and squished his cheek against the creature's back. The moss felt soft and he would have been comfortable if he wasn't drenched, cold, and confused.

One free arm meant one free hand, which soon gave up on its efforts to wring his shirt at least relatively dry and opted instead to pick at the dual loops of bright red thread stitched into his lip. He was not looking forward to replacing all of his stitches, water always made them bulge and lose their structure. He had no plans to move for a good, long while. Basking in the sun would dry him off... Eventually. Regardless of all of the other new arrivals congregating on land he seemed to be oblivious and entirely in a world of his own.

Problems Spring Up, C ;

There was no chance in hell that a person with such a chronic sweet tooth would miss out on any opportunity to indulge in a smoothie. Only his funds had prevented him from marching away from the stall with his arms full with as many flavours as he could physically hold. Juuzou was no stranger to stealing in his past, but he had yet to find his footing in this new and unusual place and the risk of getting caught was far too high.

So, he had closed his eyes, mouthed a quiet 'eenie meenie miney mo', and picked whichever drink his finger had landed upon. They all looked delicious and he couldn't bring himself to pick one without leaving it up to chance! Jasmine and peach it was. Juuzou had never been much of an introvert, but the magic that he was unknowingly sipping from the source would surely urge him along to occupy the time of whichever unfortunate soul caught his attention.

The word around was that at certain times there were migrations of new people. Sometimes from the world that they had come from. That was obvious seeing as there were a lot of people from his world in general. Judging from his own incarnation of being there, he decided the better thing to do with his time was brood about how the rest of whom was left of his team hadn't found him across spacetime breaks to relieve him of his boredom now that he actually had himself back.

Amusement wasn't easy to come by. Watching some poor manatee getting curled and refused to head back to the water was about as good as it got. It wasn't that there wasn't other interesting people, but this one hit him a little curiously. Nothing else to do and by the looks of it, no one he knew personally. Slipping his hands into his pockets (something he'd never get used to) he shuffled himself along, looking down over the lazy body on the floor. "I wouldn't be able to sleep not knowing if you just intended on laying there like a log."

[1] Arrival: Soaked

This is not his beautiful spaceship. This isn't even his beautiful planet. Or the expanse of space. Worse than that, he's down an arm again somehow.

Shiro drips his way up the beach slowly, his tall frame bowed at the shoulders as he tries to sort out what just happened. Rather than climb up the path just yet, since he's not in a freezing ice landscape - thank the stars for that - he settles himself on a rock to unlace his boots one-handed and empty out the water, laying out his socks to dry on the sand. Then it's time to check his pockets.

Given the number of people occasionally ferried to the beach, maybe it's not so much of a surprise that there's a broad-shouldered six-foot-four gentleman with one arm looking dismayed as he turns out the pockets of his black jeans. ...And sneezing.

[2] Arrival: Red Spring - Training
Shiro has opted for the meditation circle first - after all, that's part of what helped him bond with his fellow paladins - but after a point he sighs, gets up and thanks the instructor for their time. "I just have too much on my mind to focus right now," he explains.

[3] Arrival: Red Spring - Questions
"Excuse me," Shiro smiles, trying to mitigate the potential alarm his stature sometimes inspires. "Are you a resident here, or are you new as well? I was hoping to try and locate someone."

[4] Problems: Flower Crowns
Okay; he's dealt with baby dragons before. The problem is, it's pretty difficult to make a flower crown with one hand. Shiro's plopped down cross-legged in a dragonless part of flowery meadow pout-frowning at the aloe leaf he's wedged between his calves as he attempts to thread a stem of sweet basil through an oozing hole he's made in the thick succulent leaf. He could definitely use some help.

[5] All Play - Brewing
Shiro's grin is bright as he adds strawberry juice to the mead. The gin, club soda, fresh strawberries, and lime are on standby. "Alright, I think heating it will break down some of the molecular bonds in both components and help it combine better." He looks up at his partner. "I'm told that I have elemental magic, but I haven't managed fire without overdoing it yet, heh. I don't suppose you're an elementalist too?"

Perching on his shoulder is a winged rabbit, his familiar talking to him chittering next to his ear about what's in front of him, which is a tray of snacks and a soft drink left by the bartender. To him, he can hear people chatting around and the sound of glasses around him.

He turns his head to the man next to him. "Hello? Oh no. I'm a healer, as in healing. But like yourself I couldn't managed anything yet. I just arrived a few days ago. Are you making a drink?"

He's still a little irritated when they stop for the night, but now it's more of a simmer than a boil.

Whoever has the luxury of rooming with him can catch him focused on learning how to use his shiny new phone, not seeming to pay much mind to the TV.

After a while, he'll deign to visit the springs, being sure to bring a fur-lined cloak with him; thankfully, it was hiding in that wardrobe when he first arrived. His gauntlet is missing, and he takes care to keep what remains of his left arm above water. He doesn't seem to mind if anyone joins him, but he does give a rather pointed look to anyone that stares.]

I. Arrival at the bay
For him, his world has been dark for years. A blindfold wrapped around his head to cover his eyes. He woke up in darkness, upon taken his first breath. There's a thin scar over on the left side of his neck, healed upon arrival. He woke up to the cold chill of water, his robes practically soaked in it which he is quite freezing to wake-up. He coughed to clear up his lungs, and it was quite a shocked to find himself alive again. He's disoriented but once he's ou and he can hear the water and the fresh scent of the forest and the birds in the trees as he wobbled out.

This is where he flopped on the beach and curled up. He cries tears of blood in anguish, wanting to scream out from the sheer shock from the emotional residue of the pain from his previous past life, which he did. He cried out and sobbing for all to hear.

It took a while for the animals to realized the man is blind and cannot find his way around. His heart is shattered from the memories of his previous life. To calm him down, his familiar appear, and eventually after hours of being surrounded by animals and spirits, he managed and eventually is persuaded to go with the others to the city.

II. Camelot and The Red Spring
After the ride to the city, he got himself dried up and become oriented. His familiar, a winged moon rabbit, perched on his shoulder to whisper directions, and watched out for the horse and the people on his way around.

As for technology, he has no idea what they look like. Too noisy, that he refused, but eventually kept what is offered. The journey to the city is a long one, and he finally get rest in one of the rooms.

Resting on the bed in one of the inns, his familiar hopping around, keeping his owner stable, as he curled up on it, while housing with one of the travelers.

"Hello, who goes there?" He managed to speak, looking around to hear voices while his rabbit is in his arms.

III. Moon garden and rabbits
He made preparations for the banishing ritual, with the full moon out, he is surrounded by so many rabbits, climbing onto him. His familiar is happier for him. He didn't bother to do anything after other than to lay in the garden to be surrounded by so many happy bunnies under the moon, surrounding by flowers to welcome in new energy.

IV. Crown of flowers
a) It's spring in Camelot and there is flowers everywhere. Although he cannot, his familiar told him so, and his familiar told him all the names of the flowers in Camelot. He got used to his first week here, that he started to take a hike and stroll through the forest. Much calmer, and able to feel magic give him new life.

His familiar let it be known that there are baby dragons in the area, coming down from the mountains. He avoid the areas less they become territorial and attack unable to see them close by. It's only then his familiar puts a flower crown on his head, that he's surrounded by baby dragons, unharmed and unscathed. His flowers all white, to denote his innocence and purity in his heart.

b) Xingchen is in the wrong area at the wrong time after hiking through the forests too far. Perched on his shoulder is his familiar, a winged rabbit, whispering directions to him, but then the dragons are in the way. The only way to pass through safely is to pick flowers and make it into a crown.

He heard someone close-by. "Can you help me see the flowers? What kind of flowers are out there?" Xingchen is completely blind with a blindfold wrapped around his head and using a bamboo stick to find his way on the path. "Do you think the flowers will work to calm the dragons and is it all right to pick?"

V. Brew tent
In the brew tent is a tall man with long black hair and a blindfold around his eyes. It's quite evident the man is blind. Perching on his shoulder is a winged rabbit, his familiar talking to him chittering next to his ear about what's in front of him, which is a tray of snacks and a soft drink left by the bartender. He wasn't used to being poetic, far better to leave that to the skalds to tell the tales and sing songs of the world and those therein. Still, the man in front of Beowulf was quite obviously sightless.

He frowned, placing a hand on him; light but still strong enough to help guide him and make him better aware of where the stranger is. "But I will help you see."

The large man grunted, not commenting on the dragons. The accursed and troublesome, scaly beasts they were. Better for a meal on the plate than to be helped.

[ Admittedly, this is not how she thought she'd be spending the day. Or the night. Or... or whatever happens between blinking. She'd never heard of anything like this, of being suddenly whisked away by some unknown force and dropped into an unfamiliar lake with even more unfamiliar creatures. As she wades out of the water, she rings out her hair and shakes out her hat. What a mess this was... Though, the strange black bird that's perched on a rock and watching her intently was certainly curious. ]

Well, hello there. Do you often see people fall into the lake like this? It seems rather harrowing. I don't even know what I fell from!

[ The bird blinks, tilts it's head and then seems to turn to look at something else. Hu Tao follows it's gaze- as it seems to want- and smiles brightly at the person beside her. ]

I see we're not alone!

ii. the red spring - inn rooms

[ It didn't take long to come to the realization that this was very much not Teyvat, let alone Liyue. The architecture had some... vague resemblances, but. There were too many differences, and the technology was unlike anything she had ever seen before, aside from perhaps the kamera. So this is likely how we've come to her current state: bent over in front of the television in absolute awe, testing what each button does. She might not notice you come in, even if the black bird- who's feathers are now noticeably tinged with an ember-like glow- does. ]

iii. the lesser banishing of- wait, nope, that's a lot of bunnies.

Oh, this is a lot. I only sat down for a moment!

[ A rather understated reaction to being swarmed with bunnies, really. As a few clamber across her lap, her lovely bird friend shakes it's head... before perching beside her just as cozily as the bunnies are. Well. ]

Yeah, I'm rather enjoying this too. I think they like our new garden! We should see if we can find more nocturnal seeds!

iv. the language of flowers

[ Now this was.. Hrm. Teyvat had it's oddities, but this realm was incredible and Hu Tao finds herself delightedly surprised every time something new happens. With the Staff of Homa at her side for any non-baby dragon events, she had managed to pilfer a few flowers from a hoard- but oh, how it cried as she darted away. ]

It's not the first time I've had to run away from something big and scaly, but it's certainly the cutest. [ And now she's waving someone over with a free hand. ] I was able to obtain some goldenrod flowers, what about you?

[Zagreus hears a voice and immediately turns to hurry in its direction. There's a woman here, talking to a...a something. Some kind of bat? It really doesn't look like a bat, but he thinks those are wings it's got, so maybe. In any case, he gives the woman a friendly smile.]

A. Soaking in Your Arrival

[The waters of the River Styx closing over Zagreus' head is a familiar feeling by now, although he doesn't normally feel like he's fallen quite so far. What isn't familiar is staying alive once the river's taken him.

He blinks as he slowly descends and realizes a few things all at once. One is that the water isn't blood-red; it's clear, like the pools he's seen on the surface. Another is that his chest feels awfully tight and strange, and he isn't quite sure why. The third is that he has no idea how to swim--he's usually dead in the water by now. Literally!

He sort of flails about uselessly for a moment, until some sort of...creatures (what are those?) appear and buoy him helpfully back to the surface of the water, where he gasps in an enormous breath and immediately squeezes his eyes shut.]

Augh, it's so bright. Say, I don't suppose any of you can tell me what's going on? Is this the surface, or...?

[Unfortunately, the creatures don't--or can't--speak. Instead they ferry him to solid ground and then slip back off into the water, as Zagreus cracks one eye open and then the other, holding up a hand to shield them from the...]

...is that...it can't be the sun? Does it really get this bright? And here I thought it was hard to look at before...

[He gets to his feet and shakes himself much like Cerberus might, but unlike the Styx's water, this doesn't seem to want to just evaporate within seconds. So this is...new. He hugs himself and shivers as he just keeps muttering to himself.]

There's no snow here, but it's still cold. This must be the surface, somehow. I could have sworn Father bested me back there. Well, no sense looking this gift horse in the mouth.

[With that, he hops up and down in place a bit to warm himself up and then begins to jog away from the water. Keeping active will help him get warmer faster, he thinks he's heard that somewhere. He'll just keep going until he runs into someone. Once he does:]

B. The Caravan to Camelot

So Zagreus expected to definitely be dead again by now. Strangely, it hasn't happened. Who knows why, but that's honestly one of the less strange things happening at the moment. For one thing, he noticed not long after he left the water behind that his feet aren't fiery anymore, but he's still alive anyway...somehow. For another, he has much more to learn than he ever thought he might.

It's been a bit of a blur, really. The fellow who calls himself Archimedes has said a lot of things, but many of them went over Zagreus' head. Probably referencing surface things that the mortals already know. What he does catch is that somehow he's been transported out of the Underworld to somewhere not only out of the Underworld, but outside Greece entirely. And that he's supposed to learn magic all over again. Well, that part shouldn't be too hard, he thinks.

C. The Red Spring - Inn Rooms

Hours have passed, and Zagreus still hasn't died. Could it be that somehow he's escaped not just the Underworld, but his ill fate, too? He dares to hope.

There's still so incredibly much he doesn't know about the surface and the mortals' lives. It's all quite overwhelming, actually, but he doesn't mind. Much.

He's even hungrier now than he was before, but the nice people at this place to which he's been delivered--an "inn," apparently--have said that he'll be sharing his room with someone else, so he decides to go there first and see if whoever it is might want to eat with him.

He pushes open the door to his room and peers inside.]

Even though things between her and her father were a bit strained before she was taken here, so she's a little unsure about how she'll handle that.

Since she's focused on scanning the new faces showing up, she startles a little when Zagreus taps her on the shoulder, though she calms down when she sees it's just someone she doesn't recognize who's asking a question.]

[it's hard to miss a 6'2" dude all in black with leather armor and an eyepatch roaming around. He's looking for something common to every inn he's ever been through; a tavern. He hasn't yet caught on that there's booze in every room, if very small amounts of it. Mini bars won't slake his thirst, anyway, but one is welcome to try to point him that way.]

[maybe you saw him getting slightly belligerent toward the trainers trying to patiently explain that his magic could be 'any element,' insisting that he only has Lightning Runes and how dare anyone suggest he use Water gawd...if not, it's pretty obvious after a short time that Geddoe is getting frustrated with this new world situation. He seems to be muttering well-known spells under his breath and thrusting out a hand to create a specific effect, and while he's definitely making sparks, it's not what it's supposed to be and that bothers him. Intermittently, he stops to look at his right hand, balled into a fist. A glove hides what's really there but it's like he's mad at his right hand. That much is obvious.

Uh oh, looks like his annoyed glare has been turned on you, for watching him.]

[Eleven is roaming around the Spring, warmly greeting the new arrivals. Originally he'd been passing out scones but he'd run out a while ago both to baking too few and due to his familiar eating nearly half of them.

The Tockle had insisted they were very bad scones and she was sparing people by taking them off Eleven's hands.

When he sees Geddoe apparently practicing magic he sighs. He knows that expression, he's worn that expression...

Then he notices the glare and flinches.]

[She's not sure where this ranks on the scale of weird stuff she's experienced in the last couple years, but Miku is entirely certain this is pretty weird as she hits the water. Instinct and training take over as she submerges, and she breaks the surface again in just a moment, gasping and looking around in a mild panic. Just as instinctive-] Hibi-?

[But Hibiki isn't here. She doesn't recognize anyone here. So she shakes herself and looks around again. Between the others swimming to shore and the manatees(?) generally helping anyone not quite able to swim themselves, she recognizes pretty quickly shore is where her answers will be, and she marshals herself onto solid ground, taking the steps at a brisk jog to the top of the cliff... where she feels out of her depth all over again rather quickly, as she hears the explanation at where she is, and what she's in for. It's strange, but... she can deal with it, she thinks. It'll be. It'll be fun? Maybe? Time's stopped at home, so Hibiki won't miss her, and she has Shen-]

Oh. Oh, no. That's- [The words aren't coming. As she turns her focus inward for the song in her soul to activate the ancient relic around her neck, she hears only silence. In a moment of horrible clarity, she remembers Hibiki having this same problem, a year and an eternity ago. Except she has a feeling it's not something she can solve by talking through her problems. She feels her breathing picking up, and with an effort of will she forces herself to stop, take a deep breath, and attempt to relax. Whatever's coming, she'll have to deal with on her own, without her Gear. Just her wits, and her speed, and whatever this magic she's hearing about turns out to be. And the other people around her, if they're willing to help her. To that end, she begins to mingle in the time between their learning about what's going on and their carriages departing. She's cheery enough, even if she's visibly a little tense.]

Whew! This is quite a workout, isn't it?

[That would be Miku after stretching into some absurd pose yet again; she's been caught more than once and doesn't seem to mind. Really, it isn't that different from her workouts with the track team so long ago, just in shapes she's never really done before. She almost looks graceful, which isn't a word she'd use to describe herself. As she curls back to an idle position after several more seconds, she glances over to whoever else got stuck alongside her.] Are you all right? Need an extra set of hands, maybe? You have to stretch some strange muscles for this one.

[She can be found later hanging around a smoothie stall, deciding if she wants to try something. Jasmine in a smoothie sounds weird, but maybe it'd be interesting?]

[She can't say she remembers this from sports day, but Miku isn't terribly put out by the idea of a barrel race. It sounds interesting enough, and it'll be a good way to get some tension out, she hopes. So as she walks up, she smiles at whoever turns out to be her teammate for this one.]

Pleased to meet you! Ah, I'm a pretty good runner, so I might do better pushing the barrel, if you're okay with it? Oh, or if you have any ideas, I can work with something else.

But that familiar head of black hair and the (soaked) Lydian uniform were what was waiting for her, causing Chris to be taken by surprise. She blinked a few times, before running forward.]

[Most would be panicked when dropped into water suddenly. Most would be distressed that unknown sea creatures were booping and bumping into you. And most would probably voice such distress. 'Nneth, on the other hand, watches and follows along quietly. But appearances can be deceiving. For all of the body language reading "This is fine", all of 'Nneth's facial features contort to a much more telling "This is not fine". Brows furrowed, eyes darting, and a lower lip being gnawed on with dread.]


[B: Training Grounds]

[Strange how the most familiar can also be the least. 'Nneth stands at the edge of the training grounds with arms folded over and watches anyone going in carefully. There's some earnest to try, something that wants to run in with the next person, but 'Nneth's feet stay planted on the ground full of hesitation. There's no telling what is safe to do, safe to say, safe to... be?

It takes an hour. An hour of frustrated staring and quiet calculation. Then 'Nneth steps forward and...

Attempts to copy you. If others are doing it, then surely it's safe to try, right? Are we even doing this right?]

['Nneth is not the best at following directions but swears they were listening to everything they were told this time in particular. Nevertheless, too much may have been added and now very little of the drink remains where it should be and most is where it shouldn't be (everywhere else).

'Nneth looks over to you in mild terror, like a kid caught drawing on the walls.]

[So he's been assigned a room alongside a complete stranger, a fact which makes his nose wrinkle. He grimaces but doesn't protest much, heading to the room. He's been united with his familiar, at least, the boar piglet making itself comfortable in his arms. He doesn't bother knocking on the door of the inn room - if there's someone in there, he'll just give them a scowl and a once over before crossing to the free bed.

If the room is currently empty, he'll let out a relieved breath and claim one of the beds for his own. He's...

He'll be fine. He knows it. And he's not upset! Or lonely! It's just been a very tiring day.

He pets the piglet, sighing softly. It's okay.]

...They are pretty cute, though, and he can't deny that they're kind of sweet. Any passerby will see a teenaged boy sitting on the ground, a pack of kits crawling and jumping all over him. There's a bright smile on his face, and he seems to be singing a gentle lullaby to them. They are babies, after all, and the ritual can wait! He's not in any sort of rush.

The Inn

[Unfortunately for both of them, the room isn't totally empty. 'Nneth isn't trying to be hostile, we swear. But that doesn't stop someone who is very on edge from taking a step back when the door opens, putting hands on daggers.

It doesn't take much for 'Nneth to realize that was a mistake and try to make the sudden movement more...er, casual.]

Sorry. You- uh. Are you staying here? I mean, is this your room as well?

Arrival
The last thing he expected was to find himself suddenly underwater. It is a very good thing that he is a great swimmer because otherwise he would be panicking about his current predicament. Luckily he keeps a pretty calm head considering strange occurrences are kind of the norm for him for the last year. He easily gets to the surface and sucks in air once his head is above water again.

Once he eventually makes it to the shore, he squeezes the water out of his jacket as best he can before walking up and accepting a phone and earbuds. Okay...so this is a little different from the other portals he has wandered into. Usually they aren't so willing to just give things like this. As he starts to flip through the videos and the internet, he starts to get a sinking feeling that this isn't going to be just a casual day trip.

He settles down to look through the little phone he was given, told he won't be going anywhere for about an hour.

"Where is the number to contact the Bureau for an extraction?" Because he would rather not spend the rest of his day in this fantasy world.

Caravan
Wei Wuxian sinks down in his seat on the Caravan. "I don't think I'm in New York anymore." He glances at the strange animal that seems to be following him around. The device told him about a familiar and he is assuming it is this thing. He can't really tell if it is supposed to be a cat or a rabbit...or some blend of both. As long as it doesn't start talking to him he will feel he has retained some of his sanity.

He looks ahead and spots the mini bar that he is definitely going to be helping himself to. If he has to be in a strange fantasy world, then he is going to need a lot of alcohol.

Red Spring
Bedroom
The mini-bar was generous and Wei Wuxian stumbles a little as he exits the carriage and looks around Camelot. That cabbit has decided it is safer to walk slightly behind him while he wobbles his way down the street. It's not hard to figure out he is supposed to be spending his evening in the resort and he suddenly thinks this place might not be so bad. He gets told he has to share with someone and his eyebrow quirks up slightly, a small playful smile as he flirts shamelessly with the staffer and asks if they are the one he will be lucky enough to spend the night with.

Eventually he is shooed away to go to his room, which is actually not too terrible a space and currently unoccupied except for himself. He flops down on the bed and stretches out.

"Maybe I will get lucky and no one else will get assigned this room."

Spring
Eventually he wanders down to the spring. He is very disappointed to find out that as soon as he is in the water, his drunkenness disappears. At least the water is nice so he will simply enjoy this comfort until he manages to find some more alcohol. He sinks into the water up to his chin.

"That's the fastest I've ever sobered up in my life. I'm not sure I like it."

Training
Wei Wuxian is almost relieved to find out that the powers he had been gaining back home are gone. But then he becomes more dismayed when he gets informed that he has new magical abilities. Why can't he just be a normal boy?

He is even more dismayed when he finds out he has something called "Dark Magic". He lets out a heavy sigh and listens to what the teacher has to say about it. He finally plops down on the ground and folds his arms in front of his chest like a pouting child.

"I'm not doing it. I had enough with dealing with dark forces back home. If I need t learn it again here, I'd rather just forget about magic altogether." Not that he had any desire to have magic powers anyway. But maybe if he puts up enough of a fuss, the teacher will tell him how best to not use his powers.

Spiritual Cleansing
Wei Wuxian has managed to avoid all the crazy flash parties that are cropping up everywhere, but he did not run away from the prospect of smoothies. He should have realized that when in a magic world, everything would involve magic. But it seems he hasn't quite figured that out yet as he decides to enjoy some of these fun smoothie flavors.

Strawberry-Rose: Romantic Spirit
He doesn't know what was in that smoothie but he was suddenly feeling very affectionate. He was a flirty guy on a normal day, but add alcohol or a Strawberry-rose flirty and he becomes downright clingy. He isn't particularly fussy either at the moment. The first person he encounters gets an arm around their shoulders as he leans close. "How about you and I find the nearest restaurant and have a meal together?"

Jasmine-Peace: Friendship Spirit
He should have stopped with the first smoothie but he apparently didn't learn. But this one seems to just be making him even more friendly then he usually is. Nothing can go wrong with that, right? He falls into step with someone who looks particularly interesting and flashes a smile. "I think you and I should be friends."

Gettin' Brewy
All someone had to say was alcoholic drinks and Wei Wuxian was there in an instant. He knows quite a bit about mixing his own drinks (He works in a night club after all...). So he figures brewing using magic couldn't be that complicated. It's all about portions and he knows exactly what makes a perfect drink.

He studies the ingredients he was given and then starts to do the work necessary. He wasn't a complete ass to his teacher at the spa so he did pick up a few things. He had to learn how to control this powers better then he was able to control his other ones and that comes into play when making the perfect drink.

So at the exact moment, he adds that little bit of magic, making sure not to add too much. He holds his breath once he finishes just to make sure things don't explode like some 6th grade science project. When everything appears to have worked he grins and holds up his creation, holding it out to the person next to him.

"How would you like to taste the perfect drink?"

[ooc: WWX is a CRAU from Tramitem which means he comes from a modern AU New York City setting and not the ancient Chinese world of "The Untamed." He only managed to recover about 70% of his memories of his previous life so anyone who knew him in that world is probably just going to confuse him. Open to wildcard options if you have anything specific in mind. ANd I default to prose for my toplevels but I will definitely switch to action if you prefer that!]
