Character Name: Emet-Selch
Canon: Final Fantasy XIV (MMORPG)

Info: He's the main villain of XIV's current expansion, Shadowbringers. An ancient being known as an 'Ascian' to mortals, he was once compelled to serve a god known as Zodiark but has since been freed of it after events in his previous game. Now 100% tired old man trying to find a new purpose in life - or at least for the time he's here.

Magic & Familiar: Alchemy, Shadow Gwiber

Desired CR: I'm not looking for anything specific as I like to see what kind of relationships grow organically through his interactions with others. I'm definitely open to (and welcome) cross-canon CR! Ideally he'd make some new...friends? 'Friend' is a bit of a stretch considering how difficult he is to get along with. He's the sort of person who makes a big fuss over having to do anything but then will up and do it anyway and do it thoroughly so that there's no excuse to call him back to fix it.

Known Plans: I'm planning to take it easy in March as I'm still working through a lot of February threads, plus nothing is standing out to me re: the quest board right now. We'll see if that changes for the next event, but if you have something going on that you think might benefit(?) from Emet meddling in it then I'm interested!

I just came here to say that I laughed a little at the thought of Emet making 'friends.'

(That being said, I've been looking for an excuse to send Aerith his way. Maybe I can find a way to make that happen.)

What Emet really needs are bullies: people to bully him into playing nice with others.

And sure! If you're planning some kind of top level or quest, I can have him drop by? He's...got a lot of free time. Don't let him spend all of it napping.

I do in fact, have plans of putting up a catch-all tomorrow. Maaaaybe tonight if I can swing it into my schedule. I'm still deciding prompts and what not, but maybe something will catch his fancy.

The basic run down is that Hypnosis Mic is a canon about 6 regional division teams competing against each other in rap battles. Which sound crazy, but it’s true.

Jakurai here is the leader of Shinjuku’s regional team. He’s a doctor, and ex-assassin. He’s a pretty calm and rational character, one of the few older adults in this series.

He also vaguely knows of Emet through Megumi! The two of them were actually in Lunatia together. So he’s been rather curious about who Emet is!
