Character Name: Princess Allura
Canon: Voltron: Legendary Defender

Info: A warrior princess and a dispenser of deus ex space magics. Her father, King Alfor the Great, created the giant robot Voltron as a weapon to protect the universe. However, her planet was destroyed, the pieces of Voltron were scattered across the stars, and after being kept in stasis sleep for 10,000 years, she awoke to a universe completely dominated by the same empire which destroyed her people. Having lost almost everything, she decided the only sensible thing to do was start sacrificing everything else she could scrounge up to fight back. ... oh, and start fighting back with a ragtag group of rebels, I guess.

She's been raised to believe that a leader's purpose is to do everything for their people — and as a result, she's highly mission-oriented and not adverse to taking risks or making big sacrifices. While she can be a little hot-tempered and hold grudges, more often than not she's a sweet person who likes hugging people and has a soft spot for sparkly things. She also enjoys milkshakes, but can't bring herself to drink them after learning where the milk comes from.

Familiar/Magic: Balmera | Cognitive

Desired CR: Both positive and negative would be great! More friends are always welcome, but she's certainly not afraid to make enemies. Also, still need to come up with some kind of princess squad as I mentioned last time.

Known Plans: Uh, for one more week or two, I may still be spotty due to big stuff IRL. But looking past that...

I'm very motivated to get a lot of activity reward points, since I still have a goal of saving up to get all four of her pet mice in one go. But the other rewards are so good, how can I resist spending it? The only course of action is to just go hard threading once I'm back in the action full-time. She'll also be going for both Knighthood and Nobility, and... well, I mean, she won't be aiming for the Dark Web titles, but I welcome people leading her towards those quests regardless.

I'd like for Hijikata do meet Allura again! I feel like these two will keep getting sidetracked a lot due to their different experiences and priorities, which is hilarious to me, but also it would be neat if she got to see that he's actually a capable samurai and not just a total mayonnaise freak (though he definitely is that too).

Also he'll be completely "???" at her balmera familiar, so I'd love to have him encounter it one of these days when you're back in action!

Of course! Plus I figure the Gintama cast could always use some more weird amanto bothering them. (I'm a long-time fan, I played Tama... ages ago geez) Please, keep confusing her about Earth things, I fully welcome it.

I feel like getting any Gintama involved with a melon-sized rock creature is going to end with it being volleyball spiked into someone, it's the perfect mix of shounen action and slapstick

TAMA... I love her; she's such a darling! I'm happy you enriched the RP landscape by playing her! And yeah, the Gintamas are about the worst guides to Earth life poor Allura could have encountered, pffff.

I already feel bad for the poor balmera, but also I'm excited!

For CR with our ladies, not only are they stronk hero ladies, but Mako would be fascinated to hear about juniberries, or to just take Allura shopping and have her hang out with friends for more than two episodes out of the whole dang series.

Hello! It's nice to meet you too! I was actually considering hitting you up on the TDM, but free time has... not been a thing for this past week and a half. So yeah, I would love to get some CR going in the game proper!

... you know, I was typing something, and my phone turned "juniberries" into "juno berries". I'm taking this as a sign that it's a perfect launching point for CR with Jupiter.

And yes, shopping would also be divine, she's so thrilled to actually exchange money for goods and services (and not get stuck watching the ship). In fact, I'm eager to build some more slice of life CR -- with the focus on quests, she's still in the wartime commander mindset, and I love exploring her learning to relax and do more things for herself.

Ha, I feel that. That was the reason I took my Allura to Empatheias back in the day, so she could do things to save the world but have time to just... be a teenage girl. (And yes, haven't money that isn't from a 10,000 years fallen kingdom certainly helps with that.) Usagi and Minako actually took her out on a shopping in her first days to get a proper wardrobe. Maybe I should pay it... some sort of direction. Circular?

Yes. Honestly, I'm still angry her canon arc didn't go in the direction of "avoid self-sacrifice, embrace self-care". So if she tries to become the universe in this game, all CR has a blank check to pull her away and try some other things first.

Oh man, yes? I've even already started a wardrobe section for her inventory. Notice how so far, she's mostly been seen wearing... weather gear, mission gear, weather gear over mission gear...

Oh dear god, I know. Or let her be able to relax for two seconds or make a decision without the writers punishing her for her. It was strip misery poker, the worst kind of misery poker OR strip poker!

...... Princess. Even Season Two Allura (that was my girl's first canon point) knew she needed more than three outfits. (Although what she does have IS beautiful!) That's it, they need to meet and Allura needs to get kidnapped for a shopping trip, rekindle her love of sparklies.

Okay, okay, to be totally fair, this is only the clothing that's been relevant to the game itself. Things that she picked up from something in-game, or that came up in a thread. I assume she's probably picked up a few other things to wear!

also you don't have to worry about her love of sparkly things, at one point there was a thing with glitter bomb prank balloons and she was literally looking to get hit with them

For the record, my own canonpoint is end of Season 4, and it's specifically because giving her alchemy and then taking it away would have seemed needlessly mean.
