Barbara is not a nerd herself bu she can totally get along with grubby wilderness types, being such a one herself (and likewise VERY UNUSED to modern tech), so probably they could connect on that level!

Lavellan is a hilarious mix, he grew up in a nomadic clan of elves in a medieval, so if you put him inside he'd probably still try to sleep on the floor. Which could be funny if these two wind up encouraging the other into doing silly things like that instead of properly adjusting. Why bother using an oven when it makes such a nice bookshelf?
