Honestly his ideal home is a lot like the ones in Camelot! Fancy, comfortable, but close to the earth and entwined with nature.

He really loves trees (technically his soul mom was one....Dragon Quest) so he'd like a house built up around a tree at some point.

He would have been a farmer living a rural life in Cobblestone. Eventually I'm sure he would have married Gemma, his childhood closest friend and left the village on small adventures since he has natural wanderlust.

I don't think he would be unhappy as a farmer. He genuinely loves Cobblestone and the people who raised him are good people.
