I have not investigated Royal, but I also stopped caring about spoiler-dodging a long time ago. 'Try' would definitely be the operative word - Shinji is firm in his belief that all the SEES kids are supremely fucked up (look, Evokers. Just... Evokers), and while the CRAU means he's slightly better... it's only slightly.

Also, if Maruki shows even the tiniest inclination toward puns, Shinji's out. Got more than enough of that from SEES' Supposed Adult Oversight, thanks.

Yeah, if he finds out just how SEES summon personas, he will very much want to help them because that's not right, kids.

He's more, uh, clumsy than punny. Man smashed his head off the same microphone twice by trying to bow. :|

Shinji's ditched the Evoker by now and wouldn't really try to get his Persona back anyway (it's caused him enough trouble, even if he did make his peace with it in Syn), but like... normal people would not want to use those things. His best explanation is 'the Kirijo Group used to be staffed by sick fucks,' since Aigis and Koromaru stand as proof that it doesn't have to be a gun.

Clumsy he can work with. Puns would be asking for trouble, at this point.
