It's the 5th and I'm a little late! Oops! Still, it's time now for our current players to plot for the month ahead, get some new CR and chat together about things to come. Go ahead and copy/paste the form below. Or don't. We aren't your parents, we can only make really good suggestions. (Unless...? Nah.)

Info: She has an about post here! Short version is that she is a lady who pretty much thinks she is a dragon, kinda sorta learning how to deal with human society again, has a big pointy stick which she's a little too eager to stab into things. Has very little proccessing time between "is this a good idea?" and "DOING THE THING NOW KEEP UP"
Magic & Familiar: Elemental magic, also she just got blood magic, tho she's not made much use of it yet. Her familiar is a moogle!

Desired CR: Barbara is starting to kind of get closer to people. She has the easiest time getting along with other warrior types, because martial skills are absolutely a 100% adequate substitute for social skills! However, if your character is the kind who isn't bothered by someone who speaks in rudimentary declarative sentences and acts like a dragon, that would also be fun! Or if they would not get along AT ALL but the ensuing disaster would be highly amusing? Yes. I'm open to various different kinds of CR.

Known Plans: I'm planning to have Barbara go for a Knighthood. She's here to protect her world (and other worlds) from destruction, Arthur needs trusted warriors to do that, therefore that's her goal now!! So she's good for a lot of combat-oriented quests. However, assistance quests can also attract her attention (e.g. the farming quest last month).

I still have to properely thread with here and I'd love for her and Link to meet? They both have a thing for winged buddies, right?. He will not be bothered by her rudimentary speech and he's a warrior, would you like to join forces for a quest?

Link isn't exactly going for knighthood, even if he was a knight back home, but he'd never say no to helping others.

Magic & Familiar: Healing & Dark / Fischer's Lovebird

Desired CR: She's very outgoing and gregarious, so even if you think CR between them could never work... let's try it! Something I really want to do eventually is ship her. Fight me. I want her to have something nice :V I'd also like her to have some kind of mentor for her healing powers, and for her to learn to use a weapon (she can use a couple of firearms, but that doesn't really count here). I did pick up some plans with Robyn's player to have her learn to use a crossbow (if you're still up for that!) but anything else can't hurt.

Now she's a bit more settled in I'm also up for people who can challenge her. I'd also love for her to have opportunities to be kind to people who aren't used to kindness because it's really my jam and she's very good at it.

Known Plans: Jane isn't too much of a questy person but seems to be falling into the Assistance quests fairly accidentally. I am interested in Tiny Jane, perhaps, this month. She could easily trip over people doing other quests as she is very prone to tumbling into danger, and she also tends to walk around the woods a lot.

Sorry I haven't been able to tag Jane lately, but I'm still around for CR if you are! I just really needed to hiatus in March. I don't have any plans to make open posts for Lucy or Nyuu this month, but if Jane has any I'll tag those. Or we could wait for the event that's coming up in a couple of days. I'm good either way.

POISON

Magic & Familiar: Alchemy & Bargaining | Atheris hispida

Desired CR: Poison really needs some friends. More importantly, she needs people who can be persistant enough with her to become her friends. She's not a bad person to be friends with but can come across as incredibly prickly and downright rejecting of company when someone first meets her, depending on the mood she's in. She's been through three different CRAUs now and though it's hardened her somewhat, it hasn't made her entirely closed off to relationships with people.

I'd definitely love an opportunity for her to need to use the Bargaining half of her magic.

I don't mind her getting some negative CR because her attitude is bound to rub people up the wrong way. I'd just note that unless said negative CR is challenging to her in some way she'd probably just end the conversation... because who has time for that?

Known Plans: At the moment Poison is very suspicious of this setting and is kind of waiting for the other shoe to drop after being through three horror/survival type games. She's basically surviving doing odd jobs and stealing the occasional apple off a market stall and absolutely hates having 'bargaining' magic because she knows too much about the fae (or 'phaeries') to want to willingly mess with them. She is interested in Alchemy however and will be trying to develop that further.

Eventually - and this is a long way off - she might open a shop.

Magic & Familiar: Kinetic & Death | Three-headed hellhound

Desired CR: Thanatos is a tricky one, because he's Death... and Death doesn't really get invited to anything. Even in actual ancient Greek records the only mentions of him in prayers etc are just to ask him to stay away. He's pretty solitary and awkward socially, and in canon has a tendency to escape conflict by literally vanishing.

So, naturally, he needs a few people who will aggressively impose their company and friendship on him. He will hate it.

I'm also up for anyone who might know who he is within the Greek pantheon, as long as it isn't a fourth wall break. Any other gods here? Come to me.

Known Plans: At the moment he isn't super involved in questing because he doesn't see the point in it, and he is hating so much about being mortal THANKS. However I wanna do some fun things with him like trying 'junk' food (the boy's never had ice cream and it's terrible) and also just... enjoying having time to do things? Thanatos works all the time. We're talking the ULTIMATE WORKAHOLIC. Now he has all this time on his hands he's going a little stir-crazy with it.

Well if Crow learns who he is, Crow would follow him around and impose himself on him. His band tends to throw Thanatos around as well as other metaphors for the underworld and heaven in their regular speech since their super committed to their theme.

Crow's also a big foodie, so he'll introduce Thanatos to a whole bunch of stuff!

Thanatos helped Hijikata a lot by letting him sit with him at Loch Manor! Hijikata may still be totally useless as far as dealing with ghosts goes, but that experience laid an important foundation for him, and he sees ghosts a little more as people now rather than just as "scary things".

He respects Thanatos for his proficiency and tolerance of his newbie ass, so he'll gladly help him with anything, be it finding out the best food (though he will cover it in mayonnaise, no matter what it is) or any other aspects of mortal life. It could be somewhat like a mutual mentorship in death magic and mundane life, if you'd be up for that - but anything goes!

Sam | Lethe | Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn

Info: A laguz warrior from Gallia who's still rather baffled by why communication devices need to be smart to function. Also, a cat. Sometimes a panther-sized one. She used to have a Problem with humans, but has largely chilled the fuck out about that. She still has a temper hidden under that character growth, and sometimes her discipline slips.

Magic & Familiar: Animal/Siphon, Eagle Owl

Desired CR: Anything! Which is the given answer. But really, anything. She tends to spend a lot of time in the forest hunting and scouting, and practices almost daily at the training grounds. She's open to sparring partners, but doesn't retract her claws. Git gud or get cool anime clawmarks to show your friends. Lethe is also here for bodyguard or escort duty for squishy wizard types, or just for people that aren't the fighting type but still need to go somewhere danger. Other punchy friends and warrior types are welcome!

Known Plans: Lethe has regained her ability to transform! Or at least has gotten her new magic to behave in a way she understands. She also has siphon magic now, but isn't very well versed on using it yet. Watch her get the zoomies because she absorbed an energy field bigger than her head.

As for quests, I'm interested in the Librarinth one and spoiders; she'll need help with the fire elementals in the labyrinth (thanks type weaknesses). She's too close to Lawful Good to do any of the dark web quests, however.

Info: 15 year old battle butler from WWII Britain who hunts down undead troublemakers and Nazis trying to weaponize the undead. Currently dealing with the dilemma of one of his friends/housemates thinking he has a crush because he went and did the almost complete reverse of the 'asking for a friend' approach to his best friend's crush. All of these people live together and he is suffering because he refuses to come clean because that would be outing his friend.
Magic & Familiar: Kinetic and Death Magic. His familiar is a Black Dog who still doesn't have a name.
Desired CR: Always quest buddies. Someone to prod him into giving his familiar a name already. Training and or sparring partners of the friendly or not-so-friendly rival sort. Any and all reactions to the black and grey morality of his background. Someone to discover and his trouble regarding non-existent crushes and either a, make it worse by trying to discover who the non-existent crush is, or b, be amused at his trouble.
Known Plans: He will be involved with Darin's forge! Specifically, the R&D part of the operation involving magical enhancements and tailoring weapon designs to be more effective against monsters and other dangerous supernatural entities. He's also researching into the Land of Rot and its assorted inhabitants.
Other: The house he lives in is flooded this month, so everyone is piling into his tiny loft room to rest. Please laugh with me about that.

Mari | Lucy/Nyuu

Info: Detailed IC write up I did here that comes with links to the wiki, but to give a short summary: This character has a split personality, hence the two names, but Lucy is the original persona. Nyuu was "born" when Lucy was already 18 and sustained a serious head injury when escaping a prison like research institute where she had been forced to undergo all sorts of unethical experiments and confinement. Now, the girls are 21 years old. Thanks to the time spent in Prisma, Nyuu has mentally matured even more, but she hasn't completely lost her sweetness and innocence, and can still be far too trusting for her own good. Lucy, while still wary when meeting new people, is trying to move away from a life of needless murder. However, she will still kill in self-defense, to protect those important to her, or if she thinks the person deserves it.
Magic & Familiar: Primary: Animal. Secondary: Blood. Hainu familiar (appearance)
Desired CR: Friends, frenemies, rivals, or people just to annoy Lucy in particular. People who would dare be mean to Nyuu, or something less sinister and more cute, such as people who like to tease Nyuu just to get her to blush. Fellow music lovers are always nice too, since the girls are into opera.
Known Plans: Given recent RL events, I'm not going too plot heavy this month. For quests, I'm mostly interested in The Librirynth (Part 2). No posts from me this month, so I'll just be tagging around other people's.
Other: Since I don't use plurk and I didn't want to take up space in the OOC comm, just wanted to apologize to everyone I had threads with for being slow on returning after hiatus. Toward the end of March, my 17 year old cat became sick and I ended up having to euthanize her on 4/6, so I needed a couple of days to recover from the loss. I still plan on backtagging my older threads with any partners who are still willing, but it's also okay if you'd rather drop them since it has been a while.

Hey there, I am planning to have Harry into doing the Libryrinth Pt.2 quest this month (which means he could get knighted soon, LOL) and, since recovering from C19, I’m hoping to post a catch-all post for him soon. Would it be okay if Nyuu/Lucy can possibly join him in there?

Plus, I won’t mind continuing the Pure of Heart quest as well. Not planning to drop it anytime soon.
