It's the 5th and I'm a little late! Oops! Still, it's time now for our current players to plot for the month ahead, get some new CR and chat together about things to come. Go ahead and copy/paste the form below. Or don't. We aren't your parents, we can only make really good suggestions. (Unless...? Nah.)

Info: A Prince of Steam Punk China who is super chill all the time because otherwise he risks losing his mind because of a curse he's under. If a model housewife can do it then so can he. He's super competent and he's working in a clinic because he has healing magic (and also blood magic now, yay?)
Magic & Familiar: Healing and Blood Magic, pixiu
Desired CR:
- Friends closer to his age! His CR is mostly kids or teenagers and that's fantastic but some more adult CR would be nice too.
- Kids he can mentor? He doesn't get a lot of chance to do that in canon (minus one instance) but he's pretty good with kids. So like, letting him do that would be nice!
- People to please help curb his more self-destructive tendencies because...he has a lot of those. It's not the 'I'll recklessly run into danger because I don't value myself' sort so much as 'I will carefully weigh the risks before taking them except he doesn't value his own healthy and safety to the point that he would consider things like being stabbed as an acceptable risk'.
- People to talk about technology or politics or war.
- He's pining hard for someone so love advice or people who just wants to be on the sidelines witnessing this stupidity.
- ...I want to say negative CR but the worst he feels about people in general is 'apathy' (but that's no fun), but like...people who want to find him weird or dislike him while he just calmly smiles and continues to be polite would be fine with me too.

Known Plans: He's going to be playing with combining blood and healing magic. I also have quest starters here. Otherwise, I'm open to anything!

And people to talk about technology and politics and war is even much more Zuko's jam lmao..... that's... most of what he talks about, tbh. the Struggle™

I love the dynamics that have developed with both of them and definitely want more CR between them all, but I'm growing especially fond of Zuko's dynamic with him in our meditation tent thread so far! Really promising stuff~ ☆
But his disposition compliments Miwako well too in ways, he reminds her of her ex-best friend/ex-first love whom she has a lot of romantic shit to work out about herself, so that's a built-in foundation for love talk anyway, easy segue hehe...

They're rather late but I have event threads from last month for Zuko and for Miwako both, if any prompts interest you!

But yes! Both those CRs are very adorable and I agree with everything! Zuko and Chang Geng have so much in common but very different ways of processing it and Miwako is so full of energy and pep! Getting him to commission something from her is still very much on my list of Things to Do!

I'm kind of brain dead today but I definitely have those tabbed and I'll hit them up......hopefully tomorrow, lol. (RL, please calm down and stop killing my RP drive...)

By "curb his self-destructive tendencies" do you mean "be equally self-destructive" because in that case, Kate could help. She could also help with the war talk as she has Opinions about that after her own time in the military.

Of course, if you want... I was going to say "less disastrous" but that probably isn't correct. If you want someone who will try to help him via therapy, I can always offer Maruki.

Better to be self-destructive with company than to be self-destructive on their own, right? It would be an interesting discussion for sure since he's never been a soldier but he's Seen Some Shit also the person he cares about most is the Marshal of All Great Liang's Army and it's a wonderful title except for the whole 'probably going to die young' bit and he doesn't want that at all.

I want all the disastrous CR. The more disastrous the better. :D

Yes please their CR is so great! They should have more discussions about society and human nature and maybe try to get these serious losers into shenanigans as well if there's a chance for it!

I have quest starters here and I may add more prompts tomorrow related to practising with blood magic? Trying to form arrows as he draws his bow, trying to figure out how much blood loss is too much blood loss...that sort of stuff. As for event toplevel...that depends if I can think of anything, haha. But when it comes along if there's anything you want to do we can figure something out!

Please tell him more about technology they are still developing trains but he's interested in All The Things. Especially tell him about space travel that will blow his mind....I say but he'll probably just take it in stride while being curious.

I am sorry that Walter is only a teen but I will continue to plague you with him. Any quest you want, the kid can probably be roped into because CG is his best friend.

CG is getting introduced to the wonders of canning, and probably other bits of 19th/early 20th century technology as it comes up in conversations in the future.

It's so nice that these guys are getting to know each other! Hijikata really appreciates calm people since he's generally surrounded by chaotic weirdos back home, so he's already enjoying Chang Geng's company.

That said I'm mainly sliding in here to ask how you'd like to continue our thread! I'm feel like I struggle to make traditional sparring/training segments very engaging, but if you enjoy them I'll gladly give it a shot. Otherwise we can maybe skip to them hanging out in the hot springs or having dinner somewhere afterwards to chat some more, or we can just fade out here and toss them at each other again sometime soon (for example if you have any quests unaccounted for, or else perhaps at the event - there'll be opportunities for sure)! Do let me know what works best for you.

I mean, Chang Geng is also a weirdo but his brand of weirdness is a lot less chaotic and really only appears around Gu Yun, so. XD

You know what, I also struggle writing sparring/training segments so I am fine with skipping to after, lol. I do have some quest thread top levels but hot springs also sounds interesting? He's a bit of a clean freak so after training he'd definitely want to clean off.

In all honesty, Hijikata isn't really one to talk... he thinks he's a normal person among wildcards, but he's pretty damn weird himself.

That sounds grand! I saw that Chang Geng has quest buddies already (not that there can't be doublings courtesy of time loops, but that would have been my first priority), so I'll jump us ahead to some hot spring relaxation time.
