Enable me, please!

Victor is a polite young doctor who is by no means a bad decision maker! His scientific work made his home known as a land of everlasting life. He believes people have common ground in living and feeling emotions and claims that outweighs any differences.

But he also disregards boundaries and violates ethics to keep a dying girl alive.

Consequently he would be eager to delve into Avalon's magic for perfectly good reasons. I could go with the obvious combination of light and healing magic for him but given his character blood or death might be interesting? His familiar will be a fairy - and if you've played Bravely Default you'll know she will cause no trouble whatsoever.

Oooooh Victor! I like Victor and he definitely made good decisions. Many, many good decisions. It would be interesting to have Adelle meet him and have some of the similarities and differences with Luxendarc and Excillant come out?

Not to mention, like, the efforts to keep someone dear alive will resonate with Adelle. In good and bad ways.

Oh, I'm all caught up to the true end so feel free to spoil!

I'm thinking the Crystal and Rimedhal Orthodoxies would be an interesting topic? Victor's a spiritmaster but he's nowhere near so coldhearted and conniving as Helio. Orthodoxy has impacted on their lives to a great extent so it seems like a common point of interest?

Oh, huzzah! Adelle would get/be upset by the thing with Victoria; I took her from the start of Chapter 4, so Edna is fresh on her mind and unresolved for her. This could be fun, especially given the ways they diverge?

And yes! Adelle has a lot of opinions on the Orthodoxy in Rimedhal, and I'm interested in how she tries to square the oppression she saw with them with the fact that the religion was left intact. She's not really over it, and given that they hated fairies, I don't think she's gonna get over. It'd be fun to see her be reminded of Helio, but also how Victor's just... on the other side of that, ideologically?

Yeah. Adelle revealing herself as a fairy to save Martha, to be labelled a monster by the Orthodoxy, might be something Victor has strong words for. He would assert that the Orthodoxy should be stamped out, given its effect on society in general. He and Helio might not be too different given they have been tasked with spreading anticrystalism and Holograd's influence.

Otherwise, they've got the asterisks to mull over? There's a difference between Yulyana and Edna dishing them out to people. It's a fun little thing to chat about.

I'm also certainly looking at alchemy for Victor. His issues surrounding his father just make me go "Yes. This is a good idea."

Yeaaaaaahhh. And Adelle'd be conflicted... because it's hard for her to separate! She'd want to yell that's not the case. But there's still a lot of dead people and forgiveness is hard.

And there are! Adelle came over with (now useless) Swordmaster, Dragoon, and Gambler Asterisks. They're just keepsakes, but she could show them, and discuss them. And the differences, to say nothing of... well, Edna's spreading them caused a lot of strife and sorrow.

Alchemy sounds fantastic for him! Poor Victor.

And sometimes forgiving yourself is the hardest thing of all, right?

Other than the asterisks, there's the differences in fairies between each game we could get into. Fairies are familiar in some fashion to Luxendarc, not regarding Airy, considering they're known to the Crystal Orthodoxy. It would be interesting to explore that if I bring him in with a cryst-fairy as his familiar. I'm also considering a Frosti but that doesn't have as much potential, sadly!

It sure is! And the game never did much with it, but like... Adelle waited at least two executions before she brought out her wings. She has the (not entirely fair, given it could have gotten her killed, but still) thought rattling around: "I could have stopped this." Especially with Margaret.

And that makes a lot of sense! Since fairies in Excillant are... almost mythological, since they sealed themselves away. The reports about them are sketchy, and they had a lot of conflict. I think Adelle meeting a cryst-fairy familiar would be pretty amazing. It'd also poke at her, since she's hiding what she actually is.

"I could have stopped this." That's a good summary of how Victor feels regarding Victoria. He refers to her as his crime and redemption so It'll be interesting to see how they might discuss their feelings. It's quite a personal subject but the feelings seem essentially the same at their core. Both come from a place of guilt - and it'll be interesting to see how differently those feelings have come about in their lives?

Regarding cryst-fairies, I'm certainly choosing one as a familiar! I'm interested to see how Adelle might interact with her - and with fae in Avalon in general. It does help RP that fairies on Luxendarc are capable of speech so she'd be able to hold an actual conversation.

Yeaaaah. It's something they share, and the differences are interesting, too. It'd be a very good talk!

I can see a few things to get them talking -- like on Adelle's end, I feel like the events with Celliwig and the faeries is something that could prompt her to reveal what she really is sooner or later. They're not her people, but she feels a kinship. I could see that coming out, maybe in front of Victor?

And that sounds fantastic! Adelle would be happy to converse with one -- and fae in general, of course.

(Her familiar, as an aside, is less interesting; it's a wiki-wiki, one of those funny birds that gives a lot of XP/JP/etc.)

I can see that! Victor's seen what happens when people label each other monsters so he'd see Adelle as who she is beneath that, which would be nice?

I've thrown up something on the TDM if it takes your fancy. I haven't played Victor in a few years so I'm still working things out.

(Also please tell me her Wiki-Wiki keeps running away. It'll have me laughing for days.)

That would! There's a part of her that worries that the people she's befriended her will see her differently -- or even suspect her -- if they knew, so she's been guarded. She'd be glad to see people not do that.

And oooh, excellent! I will hit that up later tonight or tomorrow.

And yes, it absolutely runs away. Sometimes it does so after flopping around or falling over. Or sparkling.

omg holy crap yeah? I mean I am not a castmate but i adore and love victor. I would love to see him here & I would love to see the dynamic you would concur with him not having Victoria with him? I want mona to have more science friends tooo! even if her science is about astrology, and in otherworlds. Astrology isnt inherently legit.

Victor will be able to... make friends?... without Victoria around. Though that might take some time to happen for obvious reasons. It'll all be well and good until Mona talks about astrology as a science and yeeeeeeah. This friendship would be absolutely fine with no problems whatsoever.
