A ⦿ Soaking in Your Arrival
    KERPLUNK, SPLASH!

Regardless of what you were in the middle of, you and your familiar have been magically pulled into the world of Avalon just above the Bay's waters. After a brief plunge into the Bay, the rush of water filling your ears and soaking up into every creak and crevice of your body, you may need to cough to clear your airways when you rise above the surface. It's still chilly, but not enough that you can't manage on your own. The Lady of the Lake is swimming around under the water, helping to rescue any wayward travelers who look like they're struggling in the water. This month's helpers are giant pillow jellies, a species of jellyfish that is capable of ballooning itself at the surface to create bouncy pads for characters to hop across to the shore, should they choose or not be able to swim. They come in a variety of bioluminescent colors, but do not seem to be very talkative even to animal magic users. Those who try may find themselves being ignored, even if they hear the jellies talking amongst themselves about this and that.

If anyone tries to ask the Lady of the Lake for directions, she will direct you to Archimedes at the Rent-a-Ride. The shores themselves are littered with new arrivals complaining their way up a staircase carved into the walls of the White Cliffs. There is no railing, so be careful, but if you do fall, be prepared for a mysterious sand hand to reach out of the side of the cliffs to catch you. The hand will pat you atop the head twice before retreating back into the wall. This is the Cliff Beast; despite the name, he is quite friendly.

*Reminder: Your character's familiar may or may not be with your character in their initial plunge. If the familiar isn't partial to water, it may meet your character on the beach or sit atop their head while they swim. Or if they are, they might splash about and swim alongside your character. Familiars have different personalities and body specs and we leave those up to the players.

B ⦿ The Caravan to Camelot
Once everyone is wrangled up to the top of the White Cliffs, the handsome owner of the Rent-a-Ride, Archimedes, will distribute smart phones and a pair of special ear buds (the supplier was out of the regular ones) and tell them to "Check the Shit Box." The "Shit Box" refers to wardrobe more formally known as the Wardrobe of Finding, a hammerspace-like wardrobe that opens to each person's items and pets when the person touches the handle. It was recently enchanted by Merlin to prevent people from having to fish their waterlogged possessions and pets out of the water with them. From there, Archimedes directs everyone to settle in groups into modernized carriages pulled by horses and gives them a basic explanation of why and how they've been brought to Avalon: The rest of the universe is frozen in time and your character has been brought here by a familiar that was able to bond with them. They'll have to learn magic to help save their own world from destruction, but first they've got to get them to Camelot. It is here that you have the first opportunity to decide who they will be in their new home. You'll have about an hour to wander around here, meet and greet, and pet the horses before it's time to go.

These carriages use fae technology that combats weight, so your character will be able to get in regardless of whether they're light as a feather or weigh two tons. The carts have air conditioning when it's hot, heating when it's cold, and a mystical shield to protect from bugs. There is also a mini-bar that pops out of the console with nip bottles. Characters can use their smartphones to connect to Camelot's internet service, [community profile] avalononline (AOL), to chat with other characters, watch dumb videos, learn about the world, contact Camelot Support (they'll answer any questions they can for you, from how to use a smart phone to where to find quests and resources to learn more about your magic). Be careful if you decide to use your phones while in the caravan-- if you don't use those earbuds and start forcing everyone to listen to your nonsense, Archimedes may make you walk.

C ⦿ The Red Spring
The journey from the White Cliffs to the City of Camelot is a long one, and the first evening you arrive you'll end up spending at the Red Spring, a booming resort town. Because of the volume of new arrivals and vacationers, inn rooms are assigned two-to-a-room. The rooms have two twin beds, a bathroom, a mini-fridge and microwave, and a TV equipped with a couple of entertaining video games and a few free movies.

If you don't want to relax in the room, try taking a dip in the spring for another chance to meet your fellow travelers. The waters have restorative properties that help horses and travelers recover quickly when drunk. It is known to relieve stress, improve energy levels, and mildly accelerate healing. It may be a little chilly when you get out though, so make sure you don't slip rushing back indoors when you get out!

The springs are also home to a large training grounds just outside town limits, where there are teachers who will teach basic magic safety and help you discover what kind of magic you have together with other new arrivals. Try target practice, obstacle courses, meditation circles, and other ways to try to figure out just what you can do... if you didn't already have an accidental discovery on the ride there.

After the new arrivals come in, they'll find that this month they came in on the middle of a rather tumultuous time... people are arguing and debating about a future decision to be made. King Arthur recently tried to negotiate with Celliwig's people to open the doors to Camelot, but they refused, and the people have been left with a decision: 1. attempt long-distance, slow wooing of Queen Elphame via the Elphame Traders of the next couple of months, 2. attempt to prove a balanced and deeper understanding of the need for both pure and impure hearts by suggesting an acceptance of trials from Celliwig, or 3. band together under Camelot's flag to invade Celliwig. Celliwig is a place of communication between Elphame and Camelot that bypasses the need for weeks of dangerous, often fatal travel, so the choice is very important in regards to how Camelot both presents itself to the fae people in the future. To that end, people with strong beliefs about particular choices have arranged gatherings to draw people in to hear their perspectives on what the choice should be.

A ⦿ Honey Over Vinegar
A wide variety of people have sided with this group, including the Elphame Traders, as cutting Celliwig off from them would mean a much harder journey each month to the city of Camelot. (Though commerce always does find a way.) This group is hosting a Tree-Picking Tournament! Of course, the trees to be picked are out in the farmlands, and members of the lobbying group will be giving people free one-use Farm Totems to get to the tournament. The trees in this grove are a little different than normal trees, however. For one, they don't bear fruit. This is Camelot's cookie orchard, composed of special fairy tree hybrids that grow a variety of sweet treats on their branches instead of fruits. There are your usual chocolate chip and peanut butter cookies, but also little puff-like wedding cookies on bushes or checkboard cookies blossoming out of stems instead of flowers. There are even some trees that have clusters of miniature French macarons! The best part, at the end when you turn in your cookies for the count and get your participation prize (and bonus pamphlet about how slow and steady wins the race), you can totally keep and eat them, so be careful not to drop them! How you get them down from the tree is up to you, of course. Try some magic, or maybe just some regular old tree-shaking will do the trick.. just be careful you don't accidentally knock down any wasp nests. Those stings will hurt bad!

B ⦿ A Balanced Approach
The party of people who want to try to woo Celliwig over to smooth things over see this little political gathering with cookie-based bribery and quickly fashion their own event to make sure the fanfare isn't all for just the one idea. To gather people in to hear their side of the story, this group has decided to host a bug catching contest! Head out into those flower fields between Camelot and the Red Springs that are now thriving thanks to April's plentiful rains. Whether you use a net or figure out how to use your magic to get the bugs, it's how many you catch, not what kinds you catch that count-- so make it fast and make it plentiful! And at the end of the day, what you choose to do with your captured bugs is up to you. Crush them or free them, keep them or eat them, whatever it is you want to do... ultimately, all moral choices are valid, right? So let's go along with what Celliwig wants! Don't forget that May is the season of the frog, however, and you'll be in competition with a variety of sentient and wise members of the Frog Tribe, a group of bipedal frogs who live in the southernmost part of the lake and come up to the flowerfields to stick their tongues out for some delicious bug treats. They have no problem sticking their tongues right into your captured bug nest, hopping on heads to steal your catches, and do all kinds of crazy interferences like snipping belts and tonguing ankles to trip people. You may want someone to watch your back for this event, lest you get done in by a hopper.

C ⦿ A Show of Strength
The more war-hungry citizens of Camelot seek to go to war. This whole issue will be over if Celliwig itself isn't the one in charge of communication and it's just made directly between Elphame and Camelot, rather than having a mediator who refuses to mediate. They believe that a show of strength is the only way to solve this problem, and as such, they'll be demonstrating that the greatest rewards come from strength by organizing an expedition to a cave at the base of the Ash Mountains. Taking a path squarely between the Dusklight Woods and the edge of the Lands of Rot to the base of the Ash Mountains, this expedition will lead into a cave known as the Giant Cave. It's a pretty on-the-nose name, since it really is a big cave. One of the cool things about this cave is that it's filled with geodes. Those who have enough strength can use provided pickaxes and drills to dig up their own crystals and gold, both great for jewelry and enchanting. In particular, there is a large amount of:
      • Rose quartz: dark mages can make their love spells much more powerful and healers can use this to enhance spells that soothe anxieties and self-doubt
      • Amethyst: siphoners increase the potency of counter-curses and light mages will find this stone makes their hard light shields stronger than ever
      • Agate: strengthen cognitive abilities like post-cognition for a clearer picture of what happened by enhancing perception, and death mages will find they're able to extend their possession times by about 30 minutes by using an agate to stablize their aura
      • Moonstones: will increase navigation as a traveler's protection for kinetic users-- no longer will you risk tripping over a rock while going at enhanced speeds, or can be traded to fairies to potentially bring down a steep price to something more reasonable
      • Black tourmaline: a crystal that shields from opposition/negativity-- for technomancers and elementalists, this means that technology is more likely to side with them over another technomancer, or elementalists will find that when using opposing elements, theirs will come out stronger-- like water vs fire, electric vs rock, etc.
      • Hematite: can soothe blood, leaving it a good tool to enhance animal and blood magic-- animals may trust you more readily by having a calming effect on them, and blood mages may find that they heal more readily after using their abilities
      • Boji stone: alchemists will find that this is a good stabilizer for for particularly volatile potion combinations, and the properties of this stone leaves green mages to sense new types of plants they haven't yet encountered in passing, even if they're not looking at them
It's not particularly a contest in this case-- you can keep and use what you want, and this show of strength has given you more power than ever, so why not consider the same concept for how to deal with our unneighborly neighbors in Celliwig? It may be sweaty business, but surely hitting some rocks will show you the value of strength!

With the surprisingly tame day in the Giant Cave, one would think that the Ash Mountains were something of a safe place. No one really bothered the travelers, but that's because no one had been home at the time. as it turns out, the Giant Cave is home to a giant... douchebag of a minotaur. Not a giant, despite the name. His name is Simon and he doesn't like to share, and now that a bunch of people have gone and taken his rocks (he didn't even know there were crystals inside, nor does he do anything with them). Now he has to take his revenge, regardless of not knowing who actually took the crystals that were never really his to begin with, they just happened to be in rocks near where he sleeps.

A ⦿ A Stone's Throw from Revenge
The minotaur is a very instinctive creature, and his instincts say that the people of Camelot, the nearest settlement, are the ones who need to be punished for this. He uses his superhuman strength to drag huge rocks and boulders all the way to the north-east edge of Camelot, seemingly for no reason, until he's got practically a wall built. At which point he starts picking them up, spinning, and then vaulting the rocks into Camelot's buildings. You may find yourself inside of one of those buildings and scrambling to check if everyone and yourself is okay, or perhaps you're rushing out to stop the minotaur from throwing another. Either way, it's a sudden attack and you're going to have to act fast. Trying to attack the minotaur will be difficult, since it has superhman strength and durability, sharp horns atop its head, and can smell you coming from a mile away. Get creative, and stop the minotaur before it's too late!

B ⦿ There's Safety in Numbers
Once the minotaur's attacks stop, it flees to recover its wounds, promising it will come back to destroy Camelot once and for all. It's a time for reprieve and to help clean up the damage. Use your magic to help clean up broken buildings and structures, or heal and help others who were injured in the sudden, mostly unprovoked attack. Many of the uninjured citizens will be going around town and providing drinks, towels, and cups of noodles to those who are helping out. Because of the impending threat of the minotaur's return, it's recommended that otherworlder's use the (Recipe) Buddy System spell. The way they explain it, it's a spell designed to alert your buddy if you're in danger and lasts about an hour. The way it actually works is you must be touching your buddy in any way at all times for the next hour. Unfortunately, it seems like the volunteers sharing the recipe may have missed that it was created in a kindergarten class, not for adults.

C ⦿ Gross
Thankfully, the Buddy System wears off before the Minotaur is back for round two. When the Minotaur returns, the castle has since gathered forces to the edge of town to defend it from another attack. It's unclear where the Minotaur went to get healed, but whoever he went to apparently had some advice, however, and the instinctive minotaur gave into a different instinct for part two of his revenge. Rather than go right back to his pile of rocks, he instead travels the day to get to the southernmost part of Camelot and barrels into town unopposed, as most of the troupes are where they had thought he would come from again. After all, minotaurs are not known to be big thinkers. Instead of violently destroying this time, however, the minotaur instead heads straight to lowertown's well-- and takes a pee in it. It turns out, not only does he have a giant-- ahem, but he is a giant dick as well. Now the entire lowertown has to be evacuated due to contaminated water up to other areas of Camelot. Many people who live there are relocated to live in extra castle rooms. After all, Minotaur Urine is known to be incredibly potent and stinky.

Mages who are able to handle the smell are asked to come help perform a ritual of water purification for the lowertown's water system. This ritual involves multiple groups of people performing synchronic magic, a magic type that requires you to be in perfect sync with your partner. Draw a special ritual circle with four candles at equidistant points. Chant a spell in sync with your partner, and blow a special powder made of ground jasper, charcoal, and rosemary into the center of the circle. It will be drawn into the candles' flames and with enough people doing this, all impurities will be removed from the lowertown's water and dissipate into the atmosphere.

KEY POINTS
  • New arrivals drop into the lake and have to climb up a cliff to the Rent a Ride, where they are given their device and some headphones and can retrieve their personal materials. They travel to Camelot, which is a multiple day journey, so they stop at the Red Springs along the way and stay at an inn there.
  • There is a vote pending for Camelot and each side of the issue is trying to engage otherworlders to their side of the vote. The slow/steady approach is hosting a cookie harvesting tournament from a grove of cookie trees, the middleground group is hosting a bug-catching contest, and the group that wants war is hosting a mining expedition.
  • The mining expedition aggros an asshole of a minotaur, who throws rocks at Camelot. Driven away, the townspeople try to help by distributing a spell called "Buddy System" which binds two people together, not realizing it was intended for kindergarteners. (Oops.) The minotaur returns and pees in the lowertown's water, so a ritual of water purification must be performed because it's gross and stinky. The minotaur is still at large.

**** The above key points are a new feature we're going to start including on TDMs and Events. Since it's new, the format is still fluid, so please let us know if you have any feedback for this section here. It should just include brief summaries of each prompt to make parsing information easier and more accessible. The original prompts should still be read and referred to for complete information and details. ****

MOD NOTES:
• All test drive prompts are open to anyone in the game at any time to create your own logs with, but this post should have top-levels by potential new characters only. Current characters may reply to any threads, but should not top-level comment on this post.
• If your application is accepted, you may accept TDM threads as game canon as long as both players consent. Characters may begin threading as soon as their journal is accepted to the communities.
• A poll will go up a little later this week regarding the mentioned voting, which should be answered ICly by each character you play. The poll will remain open through the 15th so that newly accepted characters may also vote if they choose to.
•If nothing here tickles your fancy, try one of this month's Quests for your TDM prompt.
• The first "Arrival" prompts are present on every TDM, but contain seasonal tweaks for flavor. All other prompts will change monthly.
• Questions about this TDM's content? Comment here! If you have a question about the game at-large, please head over to the FAQ.

Chongyun || Genshin Impact || Snow Fox - Cognitive/Syphon

[personal profile] pureyang 2021-05-03 05:37 am (UTC)(link)
Caravan to Camelot
[The caravan ride is a good way for a newcomer to gather their bearings and sort through just what it is that happened. It’s certainly been a whirlwind of events; falling into a lake, washing up to shore, learning about what happened to Teyvat… it’s almost a bit too much for Chongyun to believe, but yet here he is. So when he reaches the caravans, he mostly spends the first bit of the ride on his own, processing what he’s learned. Beside him, a small, fluffy fox is curled up, seemingly sleeping soundly as they ride.]

[That changes when they’re given the smartphones and earbuds. though. Not wanting to bother the other passengers, Chongyun tries to figure out the strange device he’s been given. How strange… was it magic? Alchemy? Some other sort of magic? Chongyun just finds it strange.]

[But while he’s fiddling with the phone, he presses something on the screen, and he jumps as loud music begins to play.]

Ah..!

[His little fox companion is roused from its sleep as he quickly fumbles with the device. But that seems to only make the music louder.]

Ah, no… How do I turn it off..?

[A little help..?]

The Red Spring - Training
[Fortunately for Chongyun, training is something that is quite familiar to him. So when he hears of a place that newcomers can go to practice their newfound skills, Chongyun wastes no time in getting into the familiar mindset he’s spent years honing during his own personal exorcism training back home.]

[Things like meditating and target practice come easy to him, until it comes to actually practicing his new magic. So used to calling upon his thaumaturgy skills or his Cryo Vision, it’s not difficult to call upon his new magic. However, actually using it is another matter entirely. Cognitive magic best worked if you used it with someone, did it not..?]

[So after a moment’s debate, Chongyun will approach your character, politely clearing his throat to get your attention.]

Excuse me. I apologize for the interruption, but would you be willing to assist me in something?

A Stone’s Throw from Revenge
[It’s just a regular day, as far as regular days go since being spirited off to a new world. Chongyun is fairly settled in by this point, to the point of even going about on a couple small errands. Nothing too strenuous, just going to get some food at one of the nearby restaurants. Some place that he recalls advertising a cold fish dish, and he’s eager to try it out.]

[He’s in line at the restaurant, waiting to make his order, when the first round of screaming starts. Chongyun perks up, brows knitting in concern, before the wall of the restaurant is suddenly burst open as a large bounder crashes into it. He crouches down to avoid debris, but once the dust settles, he springs into action. Abandoning his spot in line, Chongyun runs forward to the broken wall and the fleeing people outside.]

What—?!

[And then he sees just what’s going on outside. Flying boulders crashing into buildings, causing damage and forcing people to flee for their lives. Chongyun can see one sailing through the air, missing one of the buildings but about to hit someone nearby. Without thinking he rushes forward towards the person.]

Get down!!

[If you didn’t hear his cry, you’ll definitely feel the way he tackles you out of the way of the latest incoming boulder.]

Quest - Party Rock Anthem
[Normally, Chongyun avoids parties like the plague. Given his congenial positivity, things like parties were just too big of a risk for him to even attempt approaching. Too much positivity, too much stimulus, too much excitement for one such as him, with his delicate condition. But when he hears about the reason for the party, and how it hasn’t stopped in days, and how people could be trapped and unable to leave? Well, that makes him consider more seriously, weighing the risks of going versus the needs of those trapped within.]

[Ultimately, he decides to go to the party. As an exorcist, it’s his duty to rid the world of curses and evil spirits, and it seems that such a need exists even in this world. And if people were truly trapped, then someone needed to go and help them escape.]

[That was easier said than done, however. The party atmosphere alone is enough to make him break out into a sweat, and even lingering on the outskirts of the party isn’t truly enough for Chongyun to not feel his heart rate quicken. He’s got a cup of ice water in hand, which in itself was difficult to acquire, especially since the partygoers kept trying to give him alcohol despite his many protests. But as he tries to look for the vessel to destroy and free the party, it’s clear that he’s having a tough time keeping his composure.]

[Will you try to help him calm down? Or perhaps you’re one of the revellers who want him to cut loose and have fun?]

A Stone's Throw from Revenge

[personal profile] tantailizing 2021-05-03 06:27 am (UTC)(link)
[In the middle of his new work route - okay, finding an alternative route to his destination - the screaming starts. Looking up, Zidane sees the boulders coming in and decides that work might have to wait. Whatever's behind this has to be stopped and considering one boulder is now headed right at him, that's gonna be stopped.]

[He sees it losing its momentum as he concentrates, but he yelps when he's knocked out of the way. Him, the package he was carrying, and the person who tackled him - sorry there, his tail just kinda grabbed on - are all going down to the ground.]

[... What the hell just happened? And that... that was a crushed box beneath him.]

[Well... shit.]
pureyang: (I just can't accept that)

[personal profile] pureyang 2021-05-04 12:19 am (UTC)(link)
[The boulder goes sailing past them, crashing to the ground with a resounding crash! But other than some kicked up dirt and rubble, it looks like they had managed to avoid the worst of it. Chongyun lets out a breath.]

Whew... that was close.

[He gets to his feet, then turns to the person he tackled, offering a hand.]

Are you hurt?

[He doesn't notice the crushed box yet.]
tantailizing: Artwork by: Unknown (I'm not mad!)

[personal profile] tantailizing 2021-05-04 12:43 am (UTC)(link)
[Zidane's tail pops now that it's free and he pushes himself up. He doesn't even notice Chongyun's hand as they look down at the box. Yup, its flattened.]

My face stings, but my wallet took the brunt of it...

[He stands up and dusts himself off. Looking at Chongyun, he looks back at the boulder that missed them... now barely. Just what happens when you slow its momentum too.]

Dammit! And that would've been so cool...!
pureyang: (?)

[personal profile] pureyang 2021-05-04 03:28 am (UTC)(link)
[Chongyun stands back a little awkwardly when Zidane stands up on his own, quickly moving his hand back to his side. Be blinks in confusion, looking back at the boulder before sending a bewildered look to Zidane.]

Excuse me..?

[Did he perhaps hit his head??]

Listen, it's not safe here. You almost got hit by that boulder! You need to get to safety, quickly!

red spring!

[personal profile] saxum 2021-05-03 08:35 am (UTC)(link)
[ Even though he's not a new arrival, nor does he need any degree of training to speak of, Zhongli likes to visit the Red Spring once in a while, and after having been shut down for some time due to the torrential rain it comes of relief to him to hear it has opened back up. He never really does much, just walks about, tries to strike conversations with the employees and individuals who seem like they could use someone to talk to. There's a flurry of new visitors so he wonders if it has become time for new arrivals. It'd be good for him to lend a hand and give the assistance they might need to acclimate to the city and this world.

While passing through the training ground, simply observing, he finds himself stopped by a young man. Once he gets a good look at him though, he knows exactly who he is. It's difficult not to with all the chatter he hears within Liyue of their honored exorcists... not to mention the way Xiao and Hu Tao speak about them. At least Zhongli has more tact than those two. ]

No apology is necessary, Chongyun. Please continue with your request.
pureyang: (?)

[personal profile] pureyang 2021-05-04 12:19 am (UTC)(link)
[It's not until Zhongli turns around and speaks to him that Chongyun realizes just who it is he asked for assistance. He unconsciously straightens his posture, eyes a little wide in his surprise.]

Master Zhongli?

[Of course he's heard of Zhongli, Wangsheng Funeral Parlor's curious consultant, the one known for performing the burials and last rites of the adepti themselves. But it's a surprise to hear the older man refer to him by name. Had his work as an exorcist truly traveled so far?]

[But despite his brief moment of surprise, he gathers himself enough to offer a quick, polite bow.]

Forgive me for my interruption. I did not know you were in this place as well.

Huh?

[Bennett is someone who is.... not the best at noticing his surroundings. When you're used to getting hit in the head by small rocks, what are the chances you'll notice big rocks coming at you? But when he hears Chongyun call out, he pays attention]

Get dow--Wha?!

[He lets out a yelp at Chongyun tackles him to the ground. At first, he's confused and alarmed, but then he sees the boulder sail directly over his head and crash into a nearby building. Yikes!]

Whoa... you... saved me...

pureyang: (Your methods are not the true way)

[personal profile] pureyang 2021-05-04 03:28 am (UTC)(link)
[The crash is deafening, and the sound of stone crashing through building is definitely frightening. But as Chongyun slowly looks up, he lets out a relieved breath as he sees that they managed to avoid being turned into paste by the boulder in question.]

That was close...

[He slowly stands to his feet, before offering Bennett a hand.]

Are you hurt?

[personal profile] rotacalamitas 2021-05-04 03:44 am (UTC)(link)
Nope, I'm right as rain. You really saved my butt there, today must be my lucky day!

[Bennett flashes Chongyun a thumbs up. While for most people, saying it's your lucky day was little more than a saying, for Bennett it was quite literal.]

Boulders don't go flying through the air for no reason, though. Any idea what's causing it?
pureyang: (I just can't accept that)

[personal profile] pureyang 2021-05-04 09:05 pm (UTC)(link)
[Chongyun lets out a breath, relieved when Bennett says he's ok. But he frowns, looking in the direction the boulder came from.]

I'm not sure. If I had to guess, some sort of monster or violent spirit.

[He's an exorcist, it's usually one of those things!]

It needs to be dealt with, before more people get seriously hurt.

Quest - Party Rock Anthem

[personal profile] lunarchain 2021-05-04 04:51 am (UTC)(link)
Wanna ditch this place?

[ Mona passes him suddenly with the most obtuse catwalk strut ever, she is flips one of her tied up hair. Noting that initially he were feeling discomforted, also noting of the vision (?) upon him meaning he too was from Teyvat. ]

The Night is still young and the stars have yet to prattle on their destinies for us, this party isn't going to tell me anything other then people dont like listening to the truth.

[ Mona clicks her tongue. ]

So are you gunna come with me or not?
pureyang: (...!)

[personal profile] pureyang 2021-05-04 09:05 pm (UTC)(link)
H-Huh?

[So focused on his breathing exercises to get him to calm down, he hadn't noticed anyone approach him until the girl was up an in his face. He takes a step back, clearing his throat.]

Ah, I... I'm afraid I will have to decline your offer. I have some business here still...

[He's also trying to speak carefully, not wanting to be overheard by the "hive mind" that seems to be keeping people partying here.]
lunarchain: (Default)

[personal profile] lunarchain 2021-05-06 02:04 am (UTC)(link)
Alright, well no harm.

[ For the Astrologist, fun meant enjoying her introspection. In fact the Drones were bewildered at her discontent in how she was speaking to others!! ( She was getting kicked out for telling truths, that were ruining peoples moods ). Its around this time she realizes that something was afoot. Rather then find herself getting into trouble, she rewards her introspection and removed herself from the party. Coming across another Vision user, was fate in itself. ]

If you are interested in a little peace of mind and good fun, I'll be over here.

[ The way she talks is truthful, but it also eludes to the fact she is looking for how the spell were made. Foolish and coy, she were but a woman who enjoyed truths. There was another building nearby(More like a Shed) seemingly uninhabited and looking rather uncomely. She thought there, would be the proper place to store a cursed relic or item.

She is having soooo much fun, and she is ever prideful walking taut into the building drawing no attention from the drones thusly. Mona offers the other a little wink, but it would be all she would afford the other as she goes hunting for the items causing this hectic party from never ceasing. ]

If Fate welcomes you, then so be it~.

pureyang: (?)

[personal profile] pureyang 2021-05-06 02:51 am (UTC)(link)
Huh?

[He had assumed she was simply another party-goer here, and in his attempts at keeping himself from overheating he had misinterpreted what she said. But the way she talks, now that he's actually focusing on her, causes his brows to knit. Was she also looking for the vessel?]

Wait..!

[He takes a step towards her before she leaves, glancing around to make sure the drones aren't overhearing them. When he's sure they're not being overheard, he turns back to her.]

Forgive me for misunderstanding. But, are you also looking for what is causing this party?

[personal profile] dolcedeleche 2021-05-04 10:07 pm (UTC)(link)
Okay. What do you need?

[Glances him up and down, a little warily, but not too badly. Usually it's ghosts who ask her help though, so she's trying to make sure he's not a ghost.]
pureyang: (Discipline is everything)

[personal profile] pureyang 2021-05-06 02:51 am (UTC)(link)
[Not a ghost at all! In fact he is very much flesh and blood.]

I was hoping you could assist me with my magic. It is cognitive in nature, and it appears to work best if I have a subject I can focus on.
dolcedeleche: (hmph)

[personal profile] dolcedeleche 2021-05-06 05:04 am (UTC)(link)
How do I do that? [It remains to be seen if he's dead or not! Now that she knows everyone here could be dead, and still solid, EVERYONE IS POTENTIAL GHOST -- in a weirder way.]
pureyang: (Why not come with me some time?)

[personal profile] pureyang 2021-05-09 06:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, one skill involves sending messages telepathically. I would like to try that on you, if I may.

[Since on his own he really can’t tell if it worked or not.]

Would that be alright?

Training!

[personal profile] whirlwindthrust 2021-05-05 01:59 am (UTC)(link)
[ Xiao himself doesn't do much in the way of training himself. Not where others can see. He does, however, like to watch. Observe.

So color him surprised when someone actually thinks to approach him. Even now, that isn't really overly common. ]

In what way do you think that I could assist?
pureyang: (...!)

[personal profile] pureyang 2021-05-06 02:51 am (UTC)(link)
[Chongyun pauses when the other person turns to him. Something in his appearance and the way he carries himself... it's curious, and nibbles at the back of his mind. But he brushes it off for now, focusing more on his question.]

I was wondering if you could assist me as I practice some of my cognitive magic. It's proving to be difficult without someone to be the focus of it.

[ Xiao, on the other hand, might not know this child by name... But he does recognize the attire. An exorcist of Liyue. Combine this with the Vision about his waist?

He supposes that he might be more liable to let aid to this one over others. ]

What would you like to practice?

caravan to camelot

[personal profile] concierto 2021-05-05 03:21 am (UTC)(link)
[Venti isn't a new arrival but he uses the caravans for faster easier travel sometimes. And that is why he finds himself saddled up with a poor boy who looks halfway to a heart attack for the loud music coming out of his gadget.]

Oh, you don't need to turn it off?

[Don't turn off the music? Just suffer!]

All you need is to learn how to turn it down first.

[Don't worry, Venti is leaning forward to press the volume key to lower the music to a more tolerable level.]

Ehe, is that better?
pureyang: (...!)

I didn’t get a notif for this tag, sorry!!

[personal profile] pureyang 2021-05-07 04:15 pm (UTC)(link)
[He hadn’t intended for the loud music to play! Don’t leave him to suffer like this!!]

[But when someone reaches over to lower the music for him, Chongyun lets out an audible sigh of relief. He turns to the person travelling with him.]

Yes, it is. Thank you for your assistance. I don’t know why it started making such noise...

[personal profile] concierto 2021-05-09 05:39 pm (UTC)(link)
[Venti smiles knowingly. He's been very good at learning all this new technology fairly quickly so it's kind of fun being the one to teach.]

No need to worry, these things are rare in most worlds I've come to find. But they're handy. You can play music, take photos and contact others with it. Doesn't that sound brilliant?
