*Cross-purse CR! he met a gaggle of Inaba folks and was pretty good friends with Haru in Syn, so he has a rough idea of what comes after SEES.
*If any of Ken's friends want to come try to figure out why he's so awkward around this guy... well, you're welcome to try, but I can't promise he'll get into it.
*oh right I almost forgot: I thought about the implications of Shinji choosing 'Helios' as a network username, but he sure as shit didn't. Confusion over whether he's a proper part of the God Squad is more than welcome.
Known Plans: He needs to pester the karaoke bar about a jorb in the kitchen (thanks, Makoto); he needs regular access to a real kitchen and he needs it last fucking month, so he and Kotone and possibly Yukari are gonna look into going in on a house at some point; his fire trauma says watching things burn is an overrated pastime; he's got things to figure out with Ken and every intention of avoiding Takaya forever now that he's punched him; Aki's gone and he's sad. Getting this idiot to participate in quests is heavily dependent on the quests. Oh, and he's semi-wrangling Nobunaga??? (Even Gekkoukan didn't sufficiently prepare him for this.)
Other: Shinji has a metric fuckton of trauma and isn't one to sugarcoat it. (What's self-worth, can you cook it.)

Oh hey, I have a Voltron, and they both have siphon as their secondary magic type. But if he's still working on his primary magic, has he learned the first thing about it yet?

Well, she could help him discover that, but I'm not sure how short of using some of those crystals from this month's TDM.

Yeeeeah, as cool as those sound I think Shinji would look at this big open cave with no obvious deterrents to poking around and go 'sounds too good to be true.' He's a cynical bastard at the best of times. XD Maybe if there's a way to buy things later. Otherwise, I'm sure I can finagle an opportunity for it to come up sometime.

hmm. Nothing in particular is springing to mind, but I am definitely up for Doing Something At Some Point! (A network post of 'why are there so many fires' is probably in the cards, as people go about quest-filling.)

She does have a nice collection that she gathered up on her own! Purportedly to help people, but a big part of it is because they are pretty and sparkly and should be made into nice jewelry.

That... is a fair observation to be making, and you can count on a reply from her. This month is gonna be a rough one.

No but I think it would be interesting for these two to chat in person at some point? Also if she ever comes out publicly as Medea I'm sure he'd have a field day with that.

Just a heads up though I got massively overwhelmed by everything last month (nothing major, just me piling a million things on my plate at once and then freaking out over how much is on the plate) and I've had to let Takaya go for the time being- apologies for not giving you the heads up sooner. Might reapp him when things calm down a little!

It would be interesting, and he would indeed have some Thoughts about that. (Chidori deserved better, ok ok.)

No worries! Life happens. Shinji will be quietly relieved unless and until the other shoe drops and he comes back.

She spoke a bit to Minato about the Medea of their world when they were discussing morality, and her reaction was largely "...Yeah that sounds like something I'd do, I can believe that other one was the same entity as me" (Chidori definitely deserved better). Helps that this one killed the first person who summoned her as well!
