It's that time again already! It's time for our current players to plot for the month ahead, get some new CR and chat together about things to come. Go ahead and copy/paste the form below. Or don't. We aren't your parents, we can only make really good suggestions. (Unless...? Nah.)

Info: a bloodthirsty, chaosmongering war devil whose primary motivations are, in no particular order:

1. Chaos
2. Chaos
3. Is this person useful in helping me spread chaos?
4. Raging against the ordering forces of the cosmos for sentencing him to an existence of pain and suffering.
5. Chaos

It isn't so much that he hates peace and quiet as it is that peace and quiet make him feel like he's going to die.

He tends to present himself as a cold, aloof and soft spoken man but it doesn't take much interaction to learn he has emotions. A lot of them, in fact. All of them even and as a being of chaos he experiences his emotions at 300% intensity. He's not at all likely to get sad and cry in front of you but he is likely to get sad, get confused over the fact that he's sad, get angry over the fact that he's confused and then stab you all in the span of 0.5 seconds. Yeah, he's one of those.
Magic & Familiar: Healing Magic (Primary), Death Magic (Secondary), familiar is a bone dragon. A smaller version of the type of dracolich his old servant was.
Desired CR: For obvious reasons he's bound to be a force of negative CR for most people.

It is possible to get neutral to positive CR with him. He is actually very motivated to save Avalon and resolve this whole Excalibur problem since dead universes and/or universes with stopped time are not chaos friendly. He is willing to work with others towards this greater goal, especially if they are willing to put up with his tendency to kill people. He doesn't think of himself as evil, he thinks of himself as chaos, so people with complex, weird or non-human centric views of morality will get his respect more easily. Beings such as gods, spirits, demons, etc who lost a lot of power coming to Avalon will intrigue him since they might be going through some of the same things he is.
Known Plans: He's a known killer at this point. Other than that he is very vocally pro war and may get involved in some fire starting for Polite Pyro. NEXT month is going to be quieter for him because it's important to me that people get some Yuber-free down time.

Canon: Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age

Info: A proud and stubborn man who isn't 100% human. He betrayed his country and humanity to a monster who gaslit him daily while wearing his adoptive father like a skinsuit. Can be rude but is courageous to a fault - and introverted to the point he withdraws from humans in favour of monsters. Has a wee problem with getting drunk due to being intolerant of stress. One shameful incident involves a wine cork shoved up his nose. He is also a complete gannet when it comes to dessert and literally bought out a bakery.

Magic & Familiar: Dark | Kinetic | Iron Maiden

Desired CR: Open for anything! Jasper has a temper but values honesty and brotherhood. His sympathies lie with outsiders so monsters who have faced persecution might find him understanding of their plight. Due to his demonic identity I'm interested in CR with characters similar in nature. He can be brusque to the point of rudeness if you want negative development. He is also preoccupied with an old companion from home and struggles with anything resembling a relationship.

Known Plans: Nothing much! I intend to have him respond on the network and go where things lead. He is staying out of the political conflict and will hold no opinion.

Canon: Dragon Quest XI: Missteps, Peccadilloes, Bad Calls, Backroom Hijinx, Sordid Pasts, Rotten Breaks, and Just Plain Dumb Mistakes in the Annals of American Politics
Info: An awkward teenager who rarely says the right things or does things the easiest way but means well. He's a living light being created by a tree to save the world and is still adjusting to this as well as some trauma suffered back home. Despite his uncertainties he tries to face every day with a smile and doesn't like people knowing his weakness.

Like any great shonen hero, he is eager to help people however he can.

He also loves pranks as long as they don't hurt anyone.

Desired CR: ALL OF IT. Eleven definitely needs more friends, enemies and exploration buddies. I'd like for him to get more involved in things.
Known Plans: He is anti-war and feels wooing Elphame via traders is the safest route. He may do some quest board missions too. Need a strong sword arm to accompany you into danger? Eleven has your back.

Character Name: Hawk
Canon: Ys IX: Monstrum Nox
Info: Hawk is a rather bloodthirsty fight happy sort of guy who is very often compared to a feral hawk (and not just because of the name). Since his first introduction in canon and arrival in Avalon, he's starting to gain a bit of chill and be a bit less murderhappy. Still fight happy though. Pretty much think solitary predator and you've got his personality down. He's also a bit of a troll and a shitposter because he just wants to liven things up so they don't get too boring. Also, he's got really cool wings like a hawk.
Magics & Familiar: Elemental + Kinetic and his familiar is a black feathered hawk spirit.
Desired CR: Friendships, rivals, enemies, quest buddies really almost anything except shipping because he's already got a thing for Chris Lightfellow and is failing at telling her this.
Known Plans: Well, totally dropped the ball last month with me losing my drive early on and it's still kind of not fully back yet. Still would like to try and do some quests and maybe some lighthearted stuff. Only quests I'm really interested in are No Buccaing Out and Holo, Goodbye though. Otherwise going to continue with the defense militia idea he mentioned last month and picking someone to lead it and eventually working with them to do regularish meetings. Pretty much just want to do stuff but try not to overdo and he's very much against the idea of invasion as strange as that may sound for someone as fight happy as he is. In the future I also have plans for his familiar to be an ass and troll him for the whole network to see. If that happens this month it will likely depend on how some things go.

Info: An outgoing and boisterous by nature tailed human (*coughcough*) that likes cute girls and pretty things. He's that rogue with a heart of gold that'll go out of his way to help people, annnnd probably forget to take care of himself. You know how some hero types be...
Magics & Familiar: Kinetic (Primary)/Bargaining (Secondary) with a moogle familiar (left version)
Desired CR: Zidane's up to meeting anyone and everyone despite what potential dynamic they might play. He's not big on trolling the network (not yet anyway), but he does like messing with friends and enemies alike... just how he does it is different (IE, harmless prank v. losing a few gold pieces). If a character does find themselves having a crush on him, sorry, his heart is actually enraptured by someone back home. It'll take a while or the right moment for him to divulge details into himself, and he's really here to learn more about others.
Known Plans: Zidane's here for Celliwig's challenges/trials whatever they may be or finding a way to speak with the Fairy Queen himself. He doesn't know about his Bargaining Magic yet, but with 'Holo, Goodbye', he will begin awakening it actively with the fairies in quest. Meanwhile, there are plans to make a network post with Eustace at some point, annnd he was like... delivering for a local bakery unofficially before the minotaur attacked and said bakery got destroyed. Just his luck, right?

... Also, if at all possible, he miiiight wanna talk to the minotaur. But you know, up in the air and if possible.

I am always interested in the sort of CR for Irhya that is just begging for trouble! I don't know if he'd hold her little prank from the network against her, but I think she'd be willing to talk with him more. She has a lot of opinions that qualify as morally grey at best, so I'd be interested to see if they get along or not.

Info: He's a battle butler used to fighting the undead that has gone from a very lonely existence to having these things called friends. It is an adjustment for him.
Magics & Familiar: Kinetic and Death Magic, with a Black Dog for a familiar.
Desired CR: Questing buddies. Always questing buddies. People to spar or train with. People to rope him into 'normal' activities. I also have a craving to write night-owl stuff.
Known Plans: After his recent purchase from the Elphame traders, he'll be giving the traders' wishes a shot for this whole debate going on. In the future, he'll be helping Darin with his blacksmithing operation, and working on ammunition casting. He's up to a few things on that front, actually.

Magics & Familiar: Animal and Siphon; he's got a white wolf following him around. He's yet to name her.

Desired CR:

+ Fellow soldier or mercenary types, or the Unwilling Human Experiment trope
+ People who have a good read on others. Geralt reveals very little and it'd be interesting if someone can suss him out anyway despite that

Otherwise, Geralt is new and settling in. Currently he's learning to get small animals to do his bidding, which may or may not mostly result in him getting accosted instead. His canon point is...a mess, so he's doing what he does best and ignoring everything he fucked up in favor of work. I'm pretty much just looking to throw him in different places.

Known Plans: He needs to pester the karaoke bar about a jorb in the kitchen (thanks, Makoto); he needs regular access to a real kitchen and he needs it last fucking month, so he and Kotone and possibly Yukari are gonna look into going in on a house at some point; his fire trauma says watching things burn is an overrated pastime; he's got things to figure out with Ken and every intention of avoiding Takaya forever now that he's punched him; Aki's gone and he's sad. Getting this idiot to participate in quests is heavily dependent on the quests. Oh, and he's semi-wrangling Nobunaga??? (Even Gekkoukan didn't sufficiently prepare him for this.)

Character Name: Darin Altway
Canon: Original Character
Info: Darin is a somewhat standard take on a hot-blooded shounen/classic JRPG protagonist tropes. He's a master blacksmith who just got his shop license in-game and comes from a world prophesied to be destroyed. How is that supposed to happen? Well, Darin is the reincarnation of a monstrous god of destruction and he's supposedly supposed to be the one to do it! He's lost access to his abilities since arriving in Avalon, but his familiar knows his secret and might be looking to unearth that power somehow!
Magics & Familiar: Primary: Healing | Secondary: Blood | Familiar: Giant Antlion
Desired CR: I am looking for any and all kinds of CR. Want to forge (Ha!) a lasting friendship/partnership/found family bond? I'm there! Are you a villain looking for a hero to argue semantics and ideology with but also want epic throwdowns? I'd totally want that too! Want to have someone to manipulate in a long, slow burn that will push him to a breaking point? Better believe I'm there for that too! In short, I love all CR. I'd love to get Darin wrapped up in some bigger events and plots, so please feel free to poke me!
Known Plans: Darin just got his shop license from the Elphame Traders and I intend to post a catch-all log for the grand opening of his forge as well monthly quests and whatnot. I'm also up for business partnerships/research partnerships when it comes to the forge. I love having Darin in a mentor position, so if anyone wants to apprentice under him at the forge, I'd love that as well. Aside from that, I have no major plans in the works for plotting. Geralt has the whole outsider not-quite-human vibe going on. He's also pretty brusque himself and one of his closest witcher brothers can be a grade a prick so if Jasper wants someone generally unbothered by rudeness, they might get along?

Character Name: Takuto Maruki
Canon: Persona 5 Royal
Info: Maruki is a kind, clumsy, and warm guy. The kind of guy who tries to get cats out of trees and doesn't think twice before offering his change to someone who says they don't have enough for the train. He's also a counsellor, eager to help people with their trauma, which is something he's noting as incredibly common around the people brought to Avalon.

He is also very much of the belief that all pain is useless and would be better off erased from the world, but surely nothing bad can come of this, right?
I will also link his permissions so people can get a better idea of what to expect, content-wise.

Magics & Familiar: Cognitive & Death Magic / Hastur
Desired CR:
— Maruki is, on the surface level at least, pretty easy to get along with! So positive CR is, for once in my life, quite a solid bet.
— People he can help! I am planning to gather enough Bonus AC to let him open a therapy business, but that won't be getting put into action until next month so until then... Bring me your traumatised and wounded so he can provide them questionably useful therapy!
— Also people who are interested in pushing the limits of the magic they've been given... cough. Maruki is very interested in seeing how much he can do and perfecting his magic, especially the cognitive stuff.
— People who will have a healthy amount of suspicion about his research because hoo boy. He is realising that, even if he helps everyone in Avalon, he can't help everyone in every world and That Is Bad.
— People who are interested in talking in depth about psychology and all the deeper topics. Let him ramble and discuss with you ;;.
— People who want to flirt with him and make him Awkward As Fuck. He is pretty much entirely emotionally unavailable and will be for a long time, but it would be fun to thread out the sheer awkwardness.
— He frequently hangs out in the library to learn more about Avalon and its magic, so if your character does too, we can totally assume a first meeting between them!

Known Plans: I'm planning on putting up an open log for Maruki in the next couple of days, but currently I'm interested in sending him on the Holo quest. Other things that will likely be in that log are library times, for researching the limits of Cognitive Magic (nothing can go wrong here), some general exploration and other slice of life things. And definitely something with his familiar since I realise I haven't used them at all yet.

Canon: Tales of Symphonia
Info: app is here with an older personality section from a previous app for Eachdraidh forever ago.

But. Basically. A sixteen year old who is the most gullible/naive and the most clumsy. Who also happens to be her world's (Sylvarant's) Chosen. Which is to say she is expected to go on a Journey to Save The World and sacrifice herself in the process, suffering with gradually giving up more and more of her humanity (eating, sleeping, talking, feeling anything eg pain, hot, cold) as she becomes an Angel (read as: a vessel for a certain someone's sister because they Cannot Let Go after Thousands of years already after said sister has died!).

Colette as the Chosen has had a Very Sheltered Life as a result because doing anything too risky/dangerous might have killed her and they couldn't have that before she went on her Journey! She also for example like. Has never actually had a proper birthday party (revealed in the manga) because it was a Church celebration of being a year closer to her Journey, yay!!! Everyone's treated her as the Chosen. Not really gotten to know Colette herself specifically as a person.

She has a huge crush on her best friend as a result of this because he is an exception! Lloyd is the best like that. but she has yet to actually tell him how she feels because y'know..../gestures to the whole......being expected to sacrifice herself thing....which. Lloyd finds out about and is understandably. Pissed as hell about this revelation and is a big Nope about it. Screw the world, gotta save his girl!

She's also a huge dog lover (that is legit a Title you can get in the game if you pet and name all the dogs!) and bffs Everyone (including assassins from the parallel world sent to kill her......yes, really.) Also, hilariously is the party thief by tripping up into enemies because tripping into traps/enemies/walls is just her Thing. She is legit known for it and her clumsiness is deemed blessed because the traps she sets off go off at their enemies etc somehow always working out like that.

Magics & Familiar: Light/Green Magic and her familiar is a Protozoan. Basically like Noishe in-game (a huge big white and green.....dog.....? creature?) except hers is smaller and female and Colette's called her Emerald.
Desired CR: : Friends, allies, found family, people to take advantage of how much of a ditz/how naïve she is? With so much going over her head sometimes honestly. It's all good.
Known Plans: I was thinking of the holo quest maybe? Otherwise I the other night got up a network thing for her if people wanted to poke at that as well. She's gradually kinda. Processing things Kratos told her regarding home. So once she's more settled with that, definitely keen for her to figure a job (prob something with dogs or maybe plants?) and moving out of the inn. Eventually? Get her in more practice with her Light/Green magic.
Other: I guess just uh. General sacrifice may come up with her stuff warning? Kinda. A Thing with being the Chosen and all. Yeah. And how that's obviously messed her up even if she generally tries to smile and brush it off that she thus has the lowest self esteem ever as a result of the way she was raised.

Canon: Final Fantasy 14 (MMO)
Info: Emet-Selch is the main antagonist of the Shadowbringers expansion (5.0). He and his brethren have been responsible for much of the world's troubles, the puppeteers pulling the strings behind each and every calamitous event in order to restore their fallen god, Zodiark, to His former power.

A grumpy, stubborn asshole on the surface, Emet actually cares a lot about the survival of his world. He is CRAU from another game and has slowly changed through the persistence of others. But some thoughts and habits are hard to leave behind entirely, and the recent debates have stirred up old hatreds.

Magics & Familiar: Alchemy/Death, Shadow Gwiber

Desired CR: Anything. I like to throw things at a wall and see what sticks.
Known Plans: No quest plans for this month (I'm open to ideas though!) but Emet will certainly be a vocal voice against war efforts. He currently has a store open and will absolutely be enforcing his 'no service to supporters of war' policy. If that potential conflict interests you, hit me up.

The game's grown too big for me to reliably keep track of posts but if anyone has plans and wants a grumpy alchemist/death mage then I'm happy to plot.

Canon: Original
Info: Grumpy former military from a world where science has made it possible for people to get powers via the ingestion of a pill, which was immediately snapped up by governments and bootlegged by drug dealers. She is cynical, stand-offish and despite it all, extroverted — just lost in bad habits formed after the murders of her parents. Basically thinks keeping her (adoptive) brother safe and provided for is the only thing she's good for any more. Restless, loves exercising and anything that can distract her from her own thoughts for a little while.

Desired CR:
Kate's making a pretty nice contingent of CR, but I am always up for more! As a general overview, she is good for negative or snippy / argumentative CR, morally ambiguous shit, and honestly she is more invested in protecting the kids / teenagers of this place than she lets on. It is easy to run into her in a bar, running / doing parkour through the city or doing various quests, so if you want to handwave a first meeting or two, those are good options! Opposites attract CR, platonic or otherwise, is always fun with her, so I love throwing her against intelligent and / or optimistic characters.

More specifically and long term, I'm looking for:
— People she can trust and open up to. This is not an easy task for Kate, as her circle of "trusted friends" at home is really just her brother and one guy she was in the army with at this point. So if you're in the mood for some slowburn friendships? Gimme.
— Subsection: people who will worry about her, because she doesn't realise just how badly she's been spiralling the last few months and she will probably do something stupid sooner rather than later.
— Gym bros, so to speak! Kate does just about any physical activity that isn't swimming, so whether you wanna go running, do parkour, yoga, sparring, cardio, weights... She's here for it.
— Magic bros - I.E. fellow Kinetic and Blood Magic users. I have magic practice starters in her current open log for anyone who wants to do some magic training with her.
— Anyone over 18 who is up for a casual, fun and sexy time now and again. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Known Plans: As mentioned above, I have an open log for her which includes magic practice, parkour and starters for the pyromania and incubabes quests. I'm also interested in the Party Rock quest, so if you want to do something with that, you can wildcard me or link me to your log so I can bother you!

Finally, I have a couple of long term goals! First, I want her to get the idea of a parkour training centre because she deserves to have a job she would actually like, so if anyone wants their character to learn parkour or otherwise plant that idea in her head, I'm here for it! Second, hoo boy, she hates Blood Magic sensing, so I'd love her to make more Blood Magic friends and maybe open up about why she hates it so much (tl;dr she had sensing powers at home and always hated them and Avalon finally let her be free of them).
Finally, I just want her to open up in general. Unfortunately that comes with a whole lorryload of trauma, so that is probably the longest of long term goals.
