Character Name: Ledo
Canon: Suisei no Gargantia

Info: 17-year-old child soldier from the Galactic Alliance of Humankind, an ultra-specialised militaristic space-dwelling civilisation in the far future. The sole purpose and objective for being alive as a human in the Galactic Alliance are to fight and annihilate the Hideauze, a highly resilient and adaptable life form that is capable of surviving in the vacuum of space. The Hideauze are considered an existential threat to humanity's long term survival and everything about life in the Galactic Alliance has been stripped down to only what is necessary to improve efficiency and success in the Alliance's forever war.

Desired CR:

I hate answering "anything" to these types of questions but I really am still super open to any and all types of CR!
- Every character and type of character has something potentially interesting for him to learn or at least consider and I personally enjoy goofs and silly scenarios as much as I do having ideological debates.

He can definitely use more friends!
- Ledo is making an effort to find allies or at least people who agree with his viewpoints he can make a note of.
- He is currently in the process of seeking "meaningful data" for Chamber which is just a fancy way of saying he's trying to gather all kinds of observations and such to plug into his AI's algorithm to make more informed decisions about things. From an OOC standpoint, it's just a convenient excuse to motivate him to potentially seek out situations he ordinarily might not otherwise.
- ICly, Ledo is (obviously) not actively looking for people who will drag him into (fun) things but OOCly, anyone who would like to do so at any time is welcome to!
- He is going to be seeking a teacher or other mentor-types so that he can start properly learning magic because he is woefully behind and is aware it's a Problem.
  - I do want to get in one (or more?) threads just for exposition / getting their explanation(s) of magic since however it's broken down for him will be important to his continued understanding of magic.
  - Even if a character only has a super specific-to-their-own-canon understanding of magic, that's fine! What he learns never has to be 100% accurate or correct (that's the fun of it!)
  - Most of the actual teaching and whatnot can obviously be handwaved as much as you like!
  - Ledo does NOT have a very positive or useful relationship with his familiar right now, but maybe that can change?
- He is going to be hurting for money soon and will probably have to start looking for a job even if he doesn't want to and is still hoping for a war lol.
  - Ledo has zero useful skills that do not involve combat so he will mess up even the most basic tasks.
  - Does your character own a business? Would you like an absolute disaster to attempt working for them just to shake things up (hiring and then immediately firing him after a day is also totally fine lmao)?
- He is absolutely here to join your militias, your raids, your potentially not-government-sanctioned missions to go fight stuff, your gang war, etc.
  - Even though he needs money he's unlikely to be motivated by it as a primary reason, but he's game if he can feel like his actions will be useful! It's all about efficiency lmao!
- Space folks come talk to him about space!
Known Plans:
- Ledo has not been shy about where he falls on the debate over what to do about the Fae, which is that he is big in favour of going to war.
- He will continue his info gathering and generally be learning about stuff and attempting to figure things out.
- He will likely try to help out in some way with the minotaur situation... especially since he is also gonna be seeing what magic rocks do and contributed to this mess. He guesses.
- I will probably be making a network post for his teacher hunt, so if that's relevant to your interest and I don't have you on plurk keep an eye out for that!
- Totally down to plot and write some closed prompts for a catch-all! Do you have any plans for future posts or involvement? See a quest you want to play out? Maybe you saw a prompt you wanted to do something with?
Other: I apologise to anyone I have a thread with currently!! I am about a week behind and very aware of it but I am catching up! I had my second COVID shot last Monday which set me back a little and am currently in double wrist braces over a lil carpal tunnel flare-up SO my catching up is slower than it would be ordinarily because I also write code for a living so mmmmm much computering requiring breaks! I haven't forgotten you but if anything starts getting too old after awhile and needs to be hand-waved when the time comes I totally understand! Thanks for your patience guys!

I can offer Kate for kinetic learning. she's got a pretty good grip on everything but flight and teleportation. She needs to ~~adopt more kids~~ have more CR with military types. :>

Space, you say. How would he deal with more humanoid aliens?

Honestly humanoid aliens would probably make a lot more sense than the people he's talked to in Avalon that mention being some kind of magical creature he's never heard of before. The universe is a big place even without dealing with intersecting worlds!
