It's that time again already! It's time for our current players to plot for the month ahead, get some new CR and chat together about things to come. Go ahead and copy/paste the form below. Or don't. We aren't your parents, we can only make really good suggestions. (Unless...? Nah.)

Character Name: Tifa Lockhart
Canon: Final Fantasy VII
Info: Tifa is what you could easily call the "Mom Friend". She's a kind, empathetic soul who is always wanting to help and do the right thing, but don't let that fool you, she can kick ass too! She's much more reserved than she leads on, doesn't like talking about herself, and she doesn't wear her heart on her sleeve, even if she may look it. Internally, Tifa deals with a lot of grief, low self-confidence, and harbours guilt for what Avalanche is doing, but she hides it well. She's always trying to do the Right Thing, and will try to help anyone in need, regardless of who they are or where they come from. Recently, the gang has just left their fight against Shinra—the Big Bad Power Company that's sucking the mako life energy from the Planet—behind in Midgar to pursue Sephiroth.
Magics & Familiar: Elemental & Light / Dolphin
Desired CR: I'd love to get the ball rolling on any and all kinds! Positive, negative, It's Complicated, and everything in between. More specifically, I would love for her to find some people who want to learn martial arts so that she can pass down what she knows the same way Zangan did for her. I'd also love for her to find people who have suffered through grief and loss, because she could use some kindred spirits to help her cope with hers. I also think it might be really cool for her to learn how to use another weapon too, just for fun... so if anyone wants to teach her how to swing a sword properly...

Honestly, she's very flexible and works well against just about any type of character so she's really easy to toss at people to see if something sticks so if you'd like CR with her, I can make it happen! Only thing I am a pass on is romance, but everything else is free game.

What I can offer in return is a patient, kind, motherly/big sis type friend who can also kick a lot of ass and doesn't take bullshit from anyone, if that's your cup of tea. A great teacher, too. Someone who is willing to bend an ear and listen and help people however she can, and help keep them on the right path.
Known Plans: No specific plans at the moment since I'm trying to keep my inbox relatively light, but some things that did interest me this month were:

★ Don't Treep, Man quest
★ Assisting with the farm repair (her lemonade would rock!)
★ Invasive Species quest
★ She's at the open house so she'll be poking around there

Other than that, my only plan is to tag out and hopefully nab some new CR. The only other thing I'm working towards with her is maybe saving up enough money to open up a bar of her own, because why not? That's definitely a long-term goal though, but something that I am looking forward to someday!

HELLO we wanted to do things with monk ladies this month and I see they are both interested in Invasive Species! I know how fight scenes can burn out so we can do maybe a little bit before the actual task and then some conversation/getting to know one another in the aftermath if you're interested? Both of these girls have big compassionate hearts so I am sure they will take a similar approach to what Must Be Done.

YESSSS oh my god please! Tifa won't want to fight or harm any of them (even though they are icky scorpion monsters), and will want to try luring them back home so it will all work out, and it could bring about some fun animal shenanigans too. :D

That would be fantastic, yes please! Jade will also be for taking the non-violent route on this one as much as possible, together they will do their best to get this situation under control and have some good punchgirl bonding!

Honestly, it would be kind of rad for Tifa and Claire to connect via training and have the whole shared major loss thing come about. Now that I am off hiatus we should totally do some stuff.

Yess I'd love some CR with Claire! Maybe the two of them could meet at the training grounds, since Tifa's there a lot. Are there any other places Claire likes to hang out?

The training grounds are probably the best place. Though Claire does run a delivery service with her bicycle. so she could in theory meet Tifa through that?

Hmm yeah, training grounds would probably work better I think!! Especially if they're both there often :D

Do you have a log planned that I could tag into? Otherwise, we could plan something closed somewhere!!

You already know that I am very much here for Tifa and Aerith shenanigans.

On the weapon side of things, Aerith could probably teach Tifa how to use a staff. Maybe. Could be kind of fun.

Tifa can also help Aerith house shop...

Basically, I'm happy for anything and everything with Tifa.

Honestly, if it means spending more time with Aerith, Tifa is THERE. House shopping sounds real cute though 😳 might be good for her to see what's out there and think about what she might like later down the line.

But I am going to tuck away the learning how to use a staff idea into my back pocket for later. I am a little burnt out on threads involving any sort of combat atm so something light and easy might be better for me this month.

I think house hunting it is, then! (I don't have a catch-all just yet, but I'm planning to put that up tomorrow. I'll put in some generic starters, but if you end up wanting something special, I'll write something just for Tifa.)

We can explore staffings at a later point. (I have zero complaints here. I'm awful at writing anything combat related, which is my excuse for Aerith avoiding combat things and I'm sticking to it!)

And yeah, I'm all for avoiding combat stuff for now! I doubt there would need to be that much, but we'll hold off on the idea for a bit longer!

This good for one future meeting with someone also steeped in loss. Canon never gave him a family and yet also didn't suggest he's been where he's been for his whole life, so I followed canon tradition and made the backstory of their loss pretty horrific.

Fair warning though... he's basically half-nuts due to his accumulated traumas and being perpetually exposed to bad things and the worst of humankind and monsterkind alike.

On the plus side, he can definitely appreciate a lady who can kick some ass. And he has slowly been learning how to human in Avalon.

Ohh, interesting. I'm totally canonblind, but I am intrigued! Especially with how she would play off of someone being a little off from their trauma since she's never had to before. I'd love to toss Tifa at him!! Do you have any posts or plans I could look forward to hitting up? :D

Character Name: 2B (YoRHa No.2 Type B)
Canon: NieR: Automata
Info: 2B comes from a world without humans. She is a battle android created to fight on the frontlines of the years-long machine war against—you guessed it!—the machine lifeforms that have taken over Earth, and the goal is to make it habitable again for the humans to return. She is Miss "Emotions are Prohibited" and doesn't shy away from that, convincing herself and others that emotions just get in the way of her duty as YoRHa android. In reality, 2B feels a lot more than she lets on. She comes off as distant and cold, but deep down, she is extremely loyal and cares deeply about her friends. She's tiptoed on the line between duty and her own desires for a long time, and the war is starting to take its toll on her.
Magics & Familiar: Kinetic & Siphoning / Moose
Desired CR: Any and all CR would be great, and I'd love to expand her pool a little bit more! Friends, enemies, frienemies, it's all great and good. More specifically, I'd really like her to learn things from humans, whether it's something as mundane as brushing teeth or something like what it means to date someone? You get my drift. The innocent misunderstandings that come from that are always fun to play out with her. Some other artificial lifeform friends would also be super cool! Robots, androids, what have you.

I can offer a quiet, soft-spoken, very blunt, kind of standoffish battle android who doesn't know much about humans and our customs, but she is very curious so please be patient with her many questions! She's learning!!
Known Plans: Nothing set in stone besides tagging out this month and looking for some new CR but if anyone would like to plot something more specific, here are some things that caught my eye:

❖ Assisting with farm repair (she can do a lot of heavy lifting if needed)
❖ Invasive Species quest
❖ Mandraconian quest
❖ She is poking around at the castle's open house

I don't really have any long-term goals set for her right now, besides just making some friends because god knows she needs them. Maybe later down the line, her real role in YoRHa will come to light in some way, and she'll really need some people to back her up and help her when that happens...
