It's that time again already! It's time for our current players to plot for the month ahead, get some new CR and chat together about things to come. Go ahead and copy/paste the form below. Or don't. We aren't your parents, we can only make really good suggestions. (Unless...? Nah.)

Character Name: Aerith Gainsborough
Canon: Final Fantasy VII-R
Info: Aerith is a street-wise, sassy flower girl who presents herself as being unsuspecting and more demure than she actually is. She is the last of her kind, a hybrid of a race that was connected to the planet she came from, and as such possesses a great reverence for all things natural, floral, and living. Seemingly capable of foretelling her own future, her knowledge affects how she interacts with those around her and develops relationships. Aerith keeps most things about her past and who she is a closely-guarded secret, but is warm, welcoming, and inviting to those around her.

Magics & Familiar: Healing / Elemental + Cerulean Drake

Desired CR / Hooks:
- Aerith loves to poke, prod, and antagonise others (with good intention, truly). She's very friendly, likes to make groan-worthy puns, and has a deep empathy for those around her. Whether you're a grumpy sort or also a fellow menace, look her up.
- She runs a flower shop in the business district of Camelot with a slew of others on her staff. Yes, they do deliveries. If you like plants or know nothing about plants and want to learn, she can help.
- She frequents the training grounds to watch others practise their various magic types. If you want someone to train along, she'll gladly join in for some conversation on the side, too.
- Aerith is best when she's helping others, be it with healing magic or day-to-day tasks. If you're in a jam, just speak up and chances are she'll lend a hand.
- I've slowly been progressing through Aerith trying to discover what exactly she's capable of in Avalon's world, given that she doesn't exactly have the same connection to the planet as she did back home. I plan to continue doing this, which means Aerith can likely be caught all around the area doing strange things (like communing with nature, trying to use her connection to the planet / people, etc) or things that might seem a little suspicious.
- Given that Aerith is more than a little closed off about her past, her experiences, and who she is, I really enjoy the challenges she comes across with forming close friendships to people. I'd like to continue doing exploring this as Aerith attempts to keep some of those around her at arm's length.

Known Plans:
- I'm planning to put up a catch-all for the month, which will probably include some generic starters, and possibly some prompts from this month's TDM. Maybe... I will include some prompts for the recent event post. (Not sure about this one yet.) If you would like to do something special or specific, just say the word and I will be very happy to tailor a closed starter just for you.
- (See my last two bullet points from above regarding desired CR, because they fit down here, too.)
- Aerith is considering finally relocating herself from her apartment and into a relatively small and cosy house, so she can fill it up with plants, create a sanctuary, and clearly get lost in it. (She also contemplated having a place on the outskirts in the farmland territory.)

Other:
- As a forewarning, I will be travelling on holiday for the month of September. It's possible I'll tag during this time, but I don't want to make any promises, so my threads in progress during that point will be on pause whilst this is happening. I will, however, do all of the tagging that I can as time / schedule permits. You can still PM me or contact me via Plurk / Discord if you need me for anything.
- My rescue kitten that I spoke of on last month's CR is doing fine. I have kept her and named her Nyx.

Aerith can probably expect Claire to contact her soon. I'm aiming for her to reach out to friends to help cope with Sherry's drop. She could use a little empathy. And they're similar kinds of weird :P

I want to follow up on that vegetable gardening how-to thing they talked about when they first met. Maybe he could drop the finished product at her shop?

Yes!! She'd be very interested in seeing his work in action. She's going to demand a demonstration.

She's planning to do some house hunting in the very near future, too, so perhaps something like that will come with a little plot or something.

I'm trying to restart some CR too after having moved last month and got out of the loop. Can Gaius come say hello?

I want to drop kick whoever lived here before because as nice looking as this place is, they slacked on some regular maintenance. Which I have FINALLY tackled as of yesterday. There are some other things I could do, but I've finally finished everything that I really have to do. Other stuff can happen as time/money allow.

But yes, Gaius will say hello. Given that he's used to taking care of animals, I've been having him consider living somewhere with more space.

Hooray for maintenance being done, but holy hell booooo for the prior not... doing the maintenance. That's ridiculous (but probably altogether too common).

I haven't put up a top level just yet, but I'm thinking this will happen tomorrow. If you don't see a prompt you like / can work with, I can write something just for Gaius.

I think it might be fun for Barbara to meet Aerith, because it's always fun to throw dragon woman at people who know what manners are and why they exist. maybe teach her about puns She also has reason to visit a Plant Shop because she is a wild woman living in the woods and would like to know what kind of plants here have medicinal properties--does that seem like a good way for them to meet?

This definitely sounds very doable! Aerith is basically warm and welcoming to everyone, so should make it pretty easy for the two of them to cross paths.

I haven't written a catch-all just yet, but that's on my to-do for tomorrow, so if you don't see any generic starters that jive with you, I'm happy to write something specifically for Barbara.
