Colette Brunel Tales of Symphonia Enable me, please!

Colette is the most sheltered, oblivious and clumsy teenager, raised in her little town of Iselia being told she was to be sacrificed at sixteen years of age on a journey to restore their world, essentially. She has a lot of insecurities and issues regarding her self worth and such in having grown up with this knowledge in basically being told and expected to die for everyone else at such a young age and how that (obviously....) is in major conflict with her friend's vocal and displeased protests when they find out the truth about the Journey of Regeneration and what this means for her. She's basically the most kind, sacrificing, dog loving girl that is in the process of/actually becomes an Angel for her people. (Spoilers being an angel means gorgeous wings but the process is horrible....do not recommend. At all. The worst.) lbr her familiar would prob be some random doggo she named 'Caramel' or something. Probably light magic?








Elsa Frozen Enable me, please!

Pretty sure everyone knows this one but. Basically. Sheltered princess turned Queen of Arendelle who was terrified of her ice abilities after an incident with her younger sister until years later said sister helped her start accepting them and learn to control it once Elsa stopped shutting herself away. I'd probably take her after the Forest of Shadows book but prior to the sequel film? So she is most of the way in controlling herself and in her confidence and such in dealing with her insecurities for the most part at least. And I'd say probably elemental magic because /gestures at her general abilities with ice anyway and also the whole spirit thing in the sequel film. I'm just less sure on the familiar aspect in choosing there? Things like Olaf or Marshmallow that she created herself are prob a Nope but. The Nokk? Maybe?



I'm waffling in deciding on who exactly to app here for a chill second game alongside Deerington. Basically. I also have other options as well. These are just the two I am apparently currently nostalgic for I guess.

Should have figured Elsa would obviously be the more popular option. She might be the one I go for. If someone else doesn't beat me to it when I make a decision next year at least. We'll see!

That's okay. Most are prob way more familiar with Elsa. Even with JRPGs Tales isn't as huge as the likes of say the Final Fantasy series. And Symphonia is an older one of theirs too for that matter, originally coming out back with the GameCube.

Elsa does seem to be the most popular one people would want out of the two lol. For. I guess obvious reasons in Disney and her being more recent a franchise given Symphonia is an older Tales now I guess. Like I said, if I went with Elsa I would just be less sure on her familiar even if I figure she would go for elemental based magic.

I have watched through Avatar: The Last Airbender! I just haven't gotten to Korra yet. Let alone. The comics? iirc there are comics too. But yeah their cr could be. Interesting, for sure. (I do have Aang but idk I'd be comfortable enough to actually. App him anywhere, ffff.)

Honestly, for my other character’s familiar (Miwako from Paradise Kiss, who’d lol much better get along with Anna tbh haha) I legit just looked up the comprehensive list of mythological creatures on Wikipedia and tediously went through until I found one I liked. Perhaps there’s a Scandinavian legend you could build on!

I’ve also not gotten to Korra and only read a couple of the comics, like when Zuko and Azula find their mom. But I’m a Netflix newbie to the fandom and having a blast so far. I’m taking Zuko with CRAU from another game that’s closing, Prismatica, where I’ve played him since July, and everyone has treated me very kindly and been very supportive, even if they’re more seasoned pros of many years, like our Azula! She’s coming to Avalon from Prisma with me; unsure if our Iroh will come or not. And we have also a Sokka and a Katara fresh from the end of the show who are already in Avalon. I know both the players are sweethearts! So you’d definitely not be coming into a judgmental cast, we’re not a critical bunch, if that soothes your nerves about Aang at all. We’d all be thrilled. And I’m sure if you’d like to voice test any of us would be happy to throw up some PSL logs with you!

Regardless Elsa and Zuko would be interesting. Prisma has made him slightly more socially open. I brought him from just before his Agni Kai with Azula in sozin’s comet. Azula is brought from the end of the comics so she can actually uh make friends ish and be a slightly normal person rofl. But the rest of us are pre-comics.

And lol good to know! I got the blu ray for Avatar and Korra and oh look then they were on Netflix now okay then. After me having wanted to watch them forever and not found them on streaming before then. Of course that timing. I'd be keen for some psl/meme things though sometime!

I feel like they could be interesting though. Elsa with the ice and him with the fire and her prob going with elemental here...

Zuko is going with elemental magic too, they could train together and lament the loss of their native elements haha. but idk I feel like there are unexpected personality parallels, too! there's a video out there somewhere of the voice actor of Zuko singing Let It Go at a convention by popular request ahaha

Elsa definitely seems to be more the consensus in being more popular lol. Which. I kinda figured. Since Tales, with Symphonia being older, and Tales generally being a more niche series in comparison to some other JRPGs ala Final Fantasy or such. I'm just less sure on her familiar. If I go with her and not someone else.

The Avatar cast tempts me but idk I am that confident to attempt to try Aang in a game though.

Hahah, Frozen series just happens to be one of of my favorite Disney things ever, so I'm always excited seeing muses from it. And actually canonblind to Tales and most games in general since never played much of anything... Colette sounds really great though! I think Nokk is a cute idea for familiar for her?? It couldn't be the same Nokk since familiars can't be a specific creature from canon but Elsa could probably bring the Nokk and Marshmallow and tiny snowmen or whatever in her inventory same way like pets are brought here??

Heeeeey, we would absolutely love to have your Aang here and we would welcome you / him with open arms! I just recently rewatched the series myself after focusing on playing Korra for years and Sokka's player watched it with me for the first time, so we're both also pretty new to playing from this... Haven't read all of the comics myself. We're all very chill but easily excited about more Avatar castmates. So like no worries about confidence with us, if he sounds like a fun option to you here, we would be happy to see him! (I say but I always have my own confidence issues too, so I get that, but trying to worry less about those.) Avalon could be a good game for trying him, maybe? The app is fun to write instead of normal personality section style even if I love writing those too.

Your FMA and Fruits Basket journals remind me how I should add more of those to that plurk meme about characters I wish to play next year-ish.

Frozen isn't my overall favourite in regards to Disney but. I did enjoy it and the books have added to it well, imo. Especially Forest of Shadows. And yeah. Tales of series of video games have been some of my favourites since a friend got me into them over a decade ago. With Symphonia being the nostalgic first Tales I played, Colette being my favourite from that one. I figured even if not the same Nokk, she might be able to bring in another? It doesn't seem as specific/actually properly named the same way Olaf or Marshmallow are at least.

But aaah. Thank you! I'm just aware there is more with the comics/Korra and haven't gotten to all that and haven't done a lot with Aang yet exactly. Maybe if I psl or meme more with him and get more confident eventually as a possible second at some point though idk.

I wouldn't say no to meme or psl things with Fullmetal or Fruits Basket either for that matter.

Before Frozen I was always like Beauty and the Beast is my eternal favorite, then they released Moana too etc. I actually haven't read the Forest of Shadows yet, it's waiting for me in my bookshelf. Tales character always seem great whenever I see them around. True about the Nokk though, but it depends on what the mods say.

Yeaaah, there is more with the comics for sure (I should read all of them too...) but don't worry about them or Korra too much, any canon point works here and you can take your time with getting to them without worrying about spoilers or anything. If you want help with psls or memes, I'd be happy to do either with you! Haven't done much with Katara yet either after recently getting back into playing her and then holidays happened soon after that.

Hahah, I probably need a canon review for both before I really do anything with anyone from either, but that may be more rp goals for next year.

Yeah, Beauty & the Beast and Tangled are my overall favourites but so many are so close in being runner ups with Disney making such amazing films. Moana included. I liked that Forest of Shadows was kinda darker in tone than I was expecting them to go in what they did with the Nattmara and how that played out, but I won't spoil things with specifics there for you.

I'd probably figure a refresh for Aang but I did just watch it like earlier this year/late last year. idk if I'd go later canon or earlier for him but. We'll see how I go. I totally get the need for refreshing with some characters, you aren't alone there.

I am often playing a Tales/Disney in games so it's rarer that I am not, really. I just kind of tend to cycle through Tales characters as new games come out lol. But Berseria is great and I loved it. Phi especially.

Maybe she'll be the one I bring here. Or there's memes again sometime.
